He couldn't throw the deep ball. I recall the guy who caught the pass was wiiiide open and a better throw would've given him an opportunity for more YAC.

Gus Johnson got put on the map with me when he called the 2014 Big Ten Championship game when Cardall Jones shlacked Wisconsin. Amazing call after amazing calls. I'll listen to any game this guy calls. Great interview and appears to be a great dude. Go Bucks.

On of my favorite Gus Johnson moments. 2021, Michigan vs Ohio State. Ojabo's sack on Stroud and Gus simply says, "O-ja-BO!" It's simple, but is very effective.

Loved Joel's point about the amazing Oklahoma v Nebraska 4th down interception. He's fulfilling the role as a color commentator while Gus as Play by Play is doing his role about the excitement of that individual athletic effort. You can't communicate both at the same time and that dynamic between color commentator and play by play seems to be weaker now in the games that I've watched as they simply have two talking heads.

What does "pound sand" mean?
“Take a hike”, “get lost”, “kiss off”. Basically, he’s bitter OU is going to SEC and, FOX won’t have contract for OU/Texas. It’s like when I saw Journey without Steve Perry, my brother wouldn’t go. He said Neal Schon could go pound sand.

Gus is the only person I know, who refers to the Team from Columbus as, 'world famous' does he get paid to say it.
Both these guys are OSU fans! When they do games between wolverines and buckeyes it shows plus Gus misses a lot of calls during the game he gets caught in himself with trying give people nicknames and other stuff. I don't like their announcing games it annoying.

Gus is taking too far the modern style trend of too tight and too short clothes. He's wearing a full suit and tie with the absolute definition of high water pants, showing not just his bare ankle but half his calf and half his foot, with no socks of course. It looks ridiculous. When will this obnoxious style end and people return to wearing decent looking clothes?
