Here's a stupid but fun idea: Mario Nuzlocke playing Mario Wonder. You die with one character, their select screen counterpart cannot be selected.

The fact that the top-down “walking on walls” effect worked in that level makes me want to see you test it in other levels too. Video idea?
it works on every level, and invisible barriers spawn where needed in that specific level, so not to break immersion.
If I were to make the idea of a talking flower saying something extremely disturbing I would make them sometimes say "I will strip the skin from your bones".

oh my gosh that is probably so funny! it’s pretty unlikely that they asked you bad ideas
make the levels in mario wonder so once you get the flagpole instead of clearing the level, the flag just moves to the start, and once you get it again it will go back to the end, and on and on endefenitly. oh and the talking flowers are all rick astley and sing never gonna give you up!
make it through all the mario levels but each level you complete the enemy get harder and they use any badge based on how they look but only one enemy type gets it. It could be a enemy from a different level and more enemies get this power then at after a while all the enemies will have this power in super mario wonder.
Random idea: in Mario wonder, make the talking flowers/npc’s playable characters
Mario's walk speed, run speed, max jump height, fall speed, and what badge forces itself onto him randomizes every now and then. (Do as many as you're able to do.)
You need to make the toast into a toast powerup, It would just be every powerup in one
