My teen kids say “ Mom why are you wearing that ? “ then I know I’m really standing out. Everyone seems to dress so casual with yoga pants and pj bottoms. Hey Lori I just had to say I loved your comment! I hate that society sets this ridiculous standard of women being unable to wear current trends unless they are teens or early twenties. It’s like we are supposed to be frumpy once we have kids and pass thirty and that to me is just insane. I’m 36 and live in the suburbs and I too am one of the only moms that dresses on trend, most of the other moms like you said just wear yoga clothes, because I genuinely feel like they think they’ll be judged poorly for trying current trends… I love that you are unapologetically you and keep wearing whatever makes you feel beautiful no matter what your daughter says! My daughters are still pretty little 7&5 so they don’t comment much on my clothes but I’m sure they will once they are teens... But I love fashion and I will always try to keep up with the current trends!

I agree, there's too much consumption and too many expensive labels and logos. I'm not criticising Erin, I'm talking about myself as well, I have way too many clothes and I just want to enjoy what I have, shop my closet more from now on instead of buying buying buying.
Another great video Bussbee team 🙌🏽👌🏽. I just wore a metallic silver mesh dress to dinner and going by this video, I was very on trend without knowing it😅, that’s some “big big energy” right there 😂. (Big energy [Explicit] by Latto) I have also been into wide leg pant’s lately, I got a black one from Spanx and a plaid one from TJmaxx and I wore them even in winter with tights and cashmere sweaters. In spring and summer, I will wear them with tops, tees and tanks. I have had a YSL Rive Gauche bag for about two years now, it’s gigantic and I love it, it’s my carry everything travel tote. I have also had two white dresses for about five years now and I burst them out every summer, one mini and one maxi, I think I am pretty covered for spring and summer 💃🏽

I jumped on transparent a few seasons ago, especially mesh, like Jason Wu, Miu Miu, Fuzzi -- I bought a fleet of sheer tops and a few black knits with sheer panels, so sheer is very me. Metallics are also a trend I love, especially silvers right now. I do like that big Fendi bag, as I collect Fendi bags. I broke down and got paper bag and pleated trousers and cargo pants but since I kill myself to stay a size 4, it feels a bit like hiding all that discipline, lol. If you have a color you love but you "look like you're gonna hurl" when it's next to your face, wear it on the bottom. Alternatively, think accessories (handbag, shoe, nails, bracelet) as long as it is away from your face you can make it work.
I do this with orange and yellow all the time! I love looking at cheerful, warm colors, but around my face it's a no.

I am so into color. I love the Cobalt and bright Reds. Denim, I mean, who wouldn't love denim that lives in the U.S.? I like the whole white look for Summer and I do love Maxi skirts. I love all denim styles. I read a style article about fashion week and the styles. The article said, "Sorry, Gen X skinny jeans are back " Love low rise, so I am happy about this. I'm thrilled about big bags too!!! For a low rise nice fit, Dojo Seven jeans are nice. I am into white out right now and on the hunt for a vintage camel hip length coat/blazer with fringe around the back.

I love all the wide leg and flared jeans and trousers. I lost quite a lot of weight a few years ago and all I could buy in the shops were slim fitting styles, skinny jeans etc. And I hate skinny jeans, I've never bought any. So excited that the styles are finally coming round to my sort of style! I'm stocking up!
I've loved fringe since I was a kid in the 70s! My client and I were just talking about the fringe boots we wore back in the 80s. Super excited to find some fringey things to wear!
I just purchased a Colbalt blue 100% cotton top for Summer. I just got through steaming it, along with the same "Kelly" green top. Two colors I rarely buy, if ever. I was going out on St Patrick's Day and thought, "I have no green in my closet...how is that possible?" I had to wear a very pale green sweater, the only green I had. I also just purchased a Sleeveless maxi length flowered dress. This is way out of my comfort zone. I rarely if ever, wear florals or Maxi skirts/dresses. But I just wanted to give it a try. It looks so cheerful; I can't wait for the warmer weather or a vacation. I also recently purchased a pair of Pallazzo style dark rinse jeans. I have been wearing those regularly. I like them very much. I am going to wear them tonight with a Navy wrap sweater. (It is still cold in Boston) I don't have any place to wear something more dramatic, but I loved your short, fringed beige sweater...very nice! I will keep dabbling in the trends that I like, and that suit my body type and coloring. Thank you, Erin. Hope you had fun in Paris.

Unsure about your arms? SHEER! Mine are toned, not as toned as I want so I am a bit nervous about short sleeves..sheer to the rescue. Friends across the pond told me that crossbody bags are out, skinny jeans are Still hot in Rome with Chelsea boots and no to neon in anything. Also high low hems are sooo out. Mwah Erin!

I love how encouraging you are for women to keep trying current trends at any age, there’s absolutely no reason we shouldn’t! It’s like society tells us once we have kids and pass a certain age that we should all just give up and wear something that helps us fade into the background and that is crazy! I’m 36 with two kids and I have always loved fashion and stay current but even I sometimes feel like I’m too old to pull off a certain trend, but then I remind myself that I feel beautiful in it and that’s all that matters!

I love the crochet looks. I crochet and for a few years been gradually working up to making simple large hole crochet shirts, coverups and tanks. They are so satisfying and I always get compliments on them. I love the idea of a low rise trouser. Looking forward to low rise coming back. High rise has always been turrrrible on me! Have you noticed 20-somethings don't seem as into fashion nowadays? Is it just the 90s all over again (but without Kate Moss being the it girl?) Clothes make me so happy, especially when I am on the slimmer side, haha.
Definitely lots of relaxed, 90's inspired styles in the younger generation especially. But I'll say, the best part of fashion is wearing what YOU love and feel amazing in! xo
Literally makes no sense. Did we feel ‘into fashion’ in the 90s? Yes! So 20 somethings wearing fashions inspired by 90s are just as ‘into fashion’ as we were.
I have a closet full of WHITE DRESSES! I had some much fun wearing them last year and I have added more to my closet since although I did have to get rid of a few of my dresses to make room for more white, I have NO REGRETS!!!

Went to buy nude pumps, saleslady brought red suede shoe just for me to try size and I put them on and lit up. 1st thought not practical and then thought of you “buy things that make you feel something” and I bought them!

What a great curated list! I’m a fan of ALL of it! I don’t know how much I can pull off (I’m 5’3”) but I think it’s a great season! There’s so much fun in these trends, and yet so many things are incredibly practical! Big bags, loose pants, bright colors, sheer, but not bare, all make sense for the wearer. It feels like there’s something here for everyone, at any age. Thanks for doing the hard work on this one. It’s fabulous.

I'm going to go for the LWD. I already have a pinstriped blazer that I'm going to pair with a feminine peasant top. I just purchased a pair of Tory Birch silver ballet slippers. Trouser jeans as well as carpenter style along with a black and a white midi length skirt are on my list. Thanks for the inspiration and guidance. ❤

My favorite is the sheer trend which I am happy to hear n have short sleeve n long sleeve n it’s mixed w/ lave etc. plus I have a pinned striped blazer which I was hoping to wear w/ something other than a button down white shirt, it’s on the shorter side so it’s not so boxy, but I will try to find something else to wear w/ it?
