Amazing advice. I really resonate with the keyword that you mentioned "simplicity." I live a simple life, and I prefer a simple life. Wealth never really appeals to me because I have seen how stressed out some wealthy people are, and I'd rather live a simple life with virtues and within my means.

I’m just a man who grew up with a house full of roaches. They never raised me to be this way. Thanks for letting me know!

Being debt-free also means money isn't a factor in deciding who to marry. When I became debt free and built up savings, I realized that if I find the perfect woman and she works a low-paying job, or has medical debt, or wants to be a stay at home mom, I can marry her without fear of our future or that of our kids. (We of course need to be on the same page with money going forward, but it's freeing to know that it isn't an obstacle).

Please only marry a woman who actually wants to be at home raising and homeschooling children. Don’t sell your kids future out for a wife who wants to be a wage slave for status…

Thank you 😊 got a car payment a while ago and have always made it. However going into marriage I am wishing I wasn’t carrying debt with me. It’s my only debt but it makes a difference. Love you all and God bless

So timely, haha! I’m debt free, but I want to be more intentional about spending and saving, and have a meeting with a Catholic financial advisor next week.
