I remember good nights at Blackpool in the 70s
Great walk, its sad, but, we are a nation of drunks and violent people now, its still true stay away from Blackpool on weekends!!
I love it there. I visit 2 or 3 times a year and never tire of Blackpool. Thank you for making this superb video.
Blackpool nightlife is ok until its late and trouble starts. I only ever went out for fun but too many would be alpha males getting high on coke thinking someone has looked at them. East lancashire is like that as well. Small towns, big fish in small pond syndrome.
We went to Blackpool last week end had a brilliant time with my daughter and friend ❤

Funny Girls, was always the Odeon Cinema to me, where i went to see films like "The Spy who loved me," The three star wars films and many others. My, My how Blackpool has changed. Man Fridays nightclub gone, Sands, gone. Visiting in 3 weeks for the first time in 40 years. Going to be surreal.

Now I’ve realised why I stay in at weekend & have started to drink in the afternoons, Cleveleys & Poulton. To think I used to drink amongst that lot for nye on 20 years 🤔

It is obvious, to sane people, that there is a need for parking opposite this pub. A great pity the council are so shortsighted as not to notice. Pleased the police ignore them. In France riots would sort this out.

Springfield Road, opposite Funny Girls is where Jimmy Clitheroe used to own a betting shop. Eeeh, some mothers do 'ave 'em.

Love this. Thanks 😄 Takeaway in at home (im in Blackpool) and keeping myself safe indoors lol.... i have only been out once. Yes I had a few but I sat half way home flashed by a jamaican 😂 and a homeless guy came from nowhere said hes sleeping on the beach (wanted to follow me home to my hotel)
Not a good idea going out alone anywhere I think not just Blackpool. Stay safe ♡ Enjoy your weekend. Also if you can suggest surrounding areas quiet to move to that would be appreciated. Just moved up north 🙂
Blackpool gets a bad rap, but if you come away from the promenade & head into the residential areas (away from FY1) it's just like any other northern town, except it does have that amazing coast. Let me know what areas you would like and I will check them out.

@@timurkovacs618 There aren't any really bad areas, like in cities. I would say, however, that the FY1 postcode is the least expensive to live in. The areas of Brunswick, Alexandria & Central are the most deprived.

I don’t know when it was over for Blackpool. It was probably still viable right up to a point in the 1990s.
When I was younger this would have been my perfect night out .Now I am 55 it looks like hell.

I am very, very discreet.
I am 40 now but when was 18 to 22 I went out every night as student maybe excluding Sunday and Monday spent a lot of money ended up in hospital and God knows how many alcohol poisoning episodes but five years I’ve not drunk a single drink now I still go out with friends, but I only drink soft or non-alcoholic it’s quite surprisingly being sober with a lot of drunk people
Just watching this reminds me of my youthful days when I was once so much younger, and like most in their late teens early 20s couldn’t wait for a Friday night out down the pub then into a nightclub. This is certainly Blackpool at its most rowdiness Friday or Saturday nighter. A normal night in town no doubt.😉👌

Bet the old bill can’t be bothered booking the cars parking on the pavement, but perhaps they will have a clamp down and have these cars towed away, why should they be allowed to have free parking when other drivers have to pay, because they have the cheek of old Nick, but one day they might get nicked 👮♀️
Does anyone remember a club called mama's n papa's , i think it was near Talbot Square. 1974.
The police are a complete waste of time . Also some PILLOCK reversing onto the main road ,which is also illegal.

Imagine Stephen you could do a video blog like this back in 1993/1994 when blackpool really was at its peak , we're very limited to where the pubs and very few clubs are know , we had way over 100 venues and over 25 clubs in the early 90's ......
That was my heyday. The 90's were pretty awesome.

Hiya, Stephen!! Looking forward to a night out up Blackpool with my brother-in-law in August, can't wait, I don't go out very often so it will be a very well-deserved night out. I was wondering, what pubs and clubs do you recommend? We're not doing a pub crawl per se, just want to have a nice tour around, for some reason we always end up in Flagship, but I'm looking to be out past 2am if I can, any suggestions please pal?
The Flagship has not been open for two years, so that is out the window. I'd try The Galleon on Abingdon St, The Little Black Pug on Table Road, then next door to the Trilogy.

Been to Blackpool many times along with the 19 million that visit Blackpool every year and always something to do.
Went there once in the winter but was still ok. Like your tours you do.
