I bought a soap from royalty soaps and it was smelling so amazingly good so I bit it and took it off my teeth quickly. Gosh, do I want to eat that fragrance 😳
I just have to say that it always warms my heart how generous Katie is with advice about soap making and running a small business. I’ve run into so many people in soap groups that have an “I had to figure it out myself, you should too” idea, so to see someone taking such an attitude of kindness and sharing is really lovely.
A coral soap would be so cool :0 Maybe the bottom layer could be a sandy / cream color, then you could get a bunch of coral embeds and stick them on that layer. Then fill the rest with a transparent blue / teal color lol

Me too! I used to do stained glass in high school! In my mind, it would be multiple layers of jewel-tones poured into the mould from different angles, separated by a layer of shiny black or dark silver micha! Then, coat it with a thin layer of clear melt-and-pour to really give it that shine!
The "i" hasn't show up the last 2 vids for me (this & the last one) .. I vote live plants. I'm not the worst or greatest at growing them - & I hate the dirt & bugs that come along with them 😂 - but the benefits outweigh those irks. Like a fresh cherry tomato from the plant YUM .. the smell of lilies .. the rich colors & texture of succulents .. the amazing variety of flowers. Love it! ... also this collection is shaping up amazingly! May is my bday month & I've been thinking of making my first purchase from RS then & these soaps look awesome!
I think it would be so interesting to watch a video of the behind the scenes packaging and shipping of Royalty Soaps! Also, I really want to see how the shrink wrap tube works haha
Yeah, she's done behind the scenes videos before but the last time she spoke of her packaging process, it was with a heat gun to hand blow the shrink wrap. Otherwise, she has videos about her labeling and boxing process as well.

I've never been a plant person. I have been subjected to youtube apartment tour videos and everyone has a plant. Fake plants are super expensive (however, probably not as much if you are killing real ones all the time) but i went for it and bought my first real one. some kind of lilly thing. it's gorgeous! best decision ever. plus they help clean your air!

This soap is so incredibly beautiful!! I personally prefer low top soaps to frosted soaps, and soaps like this prove that the low top soaps can be just as gorgeous as the frosted ones!

I love woodsy smells and I was gifted a soap that looked like it was made of wood it was so cool and I have no clue how they did it. It smelled like sandalwood. Maybe you could do woodsy themed barklike soaps
Today I opened my cactus blossom soap and fell instantly in love with the smell. Then went back to watch that video again to learn the fragrance name. Later in the day, I got the notification of a new video and you made this adorable soap with the exact same fragrance. Whoo hoo! Lush succulent.

I would absolutely love to see you start from the beginning. How you mix your lye and how long you let it sit. And then adding what you add to it and then adding to your oils. I can't find one like that ANYWHERE.

And I love I dream in soap too. A lot of great tips. I would just love to see something from the very start you the very end of molding.
@@madtabby66 I think a lot of people also confuse them with cacti, and don't give them any water. While they can live without water for quite some time, doing that too regularly will kill them.
Um sooo questions...EVERY time I make melt and pour embeds they Always sweat so badly that the entire outside turns to Crystal's like Frost. I have heard of soda ash, but how do I make this stop? I want to make this soap and I have those molds for the embeds. Just will sweat away and look gross though after 3 days. Ps.I Live in Florida so it is very humid all year round
That's a great question. It appears you're not using non-sweat melt and pour soap base. I don't know why the sweating kind is still sold, but apparently it's not a problem in dry climates. Anybody who lives in a humid climate needs to buy non-sweat melt & pour base. I hope that helps.

There's no "i" in the corner :( but i love live plants, except they attract bugs! Maybe you should do a soap with a lot of flowers laid on top like this soap and some ladybugs crawling all over
Dear Katie, rewatching this a year or so later, I’m still in love with the vibrancy of your terracotta. I would have done an earthier brown colour first off, but you do a glorious orange.. I’m learning. I use Japanese pointed chopsticks to swirl, invaluable. This has to be one of my very VERY favourite soaps of yours. I think you have an inherent colour wheel, a sense of colour that you were born with. I agree with you about the multi cavity soap moulds. And the money saving things 1. Dishwasher - I just about cried when it was plumbed in. Yup. Still one of my favourites. Xxxx have you noticed how many soap makers are also gardeners?

Another tip is to not over-microwave the same soap over and over. I've done that while making embeds and it makes the soap sweat like crazy.

Dear Katie, rewatching this a year or so later, I’m still in love with the vibrancy of your terracotta. I would have done an earthier brown colour first off, but you do a glorious orange.. I’m learning. I use Japanese pointed chopsticks to swirl, invaluable. This has to be one of my very VERY favourite soaps of yours. I think you have an inherent colour wheel, a sense of colour that you were born with. I agree with you about the multi cavity soap moulds. And the money saving things 1. Dishwasher - I just about cried when it was plumbed in. Yup. Still one of my favourites. Xxxx have you noticed how many soap makers are also gardeners?
