Socially liberal and fiscally conservative is probably a great way to describe most voters. Gotta respect that. I never had a problem finding an opinion from any comedian that I really like, to be different from mine on a particular topic, and still enjoying that comedian's performance.
@Iam4UK Larry’s politics was a big time liberal ( and that’s fine because it’s his prerogative ) but Larry King was always a weasel about his politics and fooled no one…but he would’ve been much better off just owning it!
When this interview was done Larry must have thought CNN would call him and give his show back...how could any sane person say that CNN didn't have an agenda against Trump...
He was kinda cool when he started the midnight radio show... people could call in and talk about anything I would never classify what Larry King does as "news" And it's odd with all the strange conspiracy theories discussed at 3 a.m., that Larry King couldn't believe the media would slant news... there couldn't be a conspiracy right under his nose. There wasn't much on at midnight back then I remember His Show on AM radio I would never consider what he does as credible nor "news"
Love the sound of Larry King's laughter. Love how Dennis Miller is the instigator. Intelligence mixed with honest opinions, and observational humour is a very appealing quality. "You're a great man, Dennis." ~ Larry King. I second that emotion.
@@mikewhite4560 You ever got the feeling that Larry didn't like him, despite those compliments? I remember him telling Norm that Miller wanted to be seen as an intellectual. I think Larry was a little intimidated by him.
Always liked Dennis Miller. A comedian with a brain. Not the Richard Pryor, George Carlin type. He can make just on substance alone. This is the kind of interview you want to be even longer.
@@vicamaral he was never as smart as people claimed he was no logic or intelligence on his act. He just said things for money not for people to live by.
I've been a fan of dennis miller all the way back in in eighties. I remember when he was in a vampire movie. bordello of blood I think that was the name of it !
I'm really surprised that someone as astute and smart as Miller didn't understand what Trump really meant when he said there were good people on both sides at Charlottesville.
Why do leftists persist with such obvious lies? Why don't you learn from being wrong about everything for four straight years? You're still scraping the Avenatti/Daniels 2020 sticker off your bumper, aren't you you pathetic child
That surprised me too Myles, but I'll bet he has been set straight on that score by now and I'll bet he is glad about it. Then again, perhaps Miller did understand what Trump meant, but he believed that Trump should have known the press would misconstrue the statement like they usually do. I believe the press KNEW what he meant, but jumped at the chance to cast Trump in a bad light. One thing is for sure. Trump is not a surgical with his statements; he says what is on his mind. Sometimes though, he punks them with crazy talk. We get the joke.
Current vid description: "Originally Released: October 15, 2018" If this was an edit, then it shows no journalistic integrity to post this change with no indication that it was edited.
So Miller thinks Trump is some sort of friend to the "blue collar" or that he developed those communication skills walking around in a hard hat at his construction sites? Yikes. I never found Miller all that funny but I use to think he was smart. Trump the president is a persona.... a caricature he developed and honed particularly through The Apprentice. He knows what he is doing. And yes, Larry is right, normally Trump - A New York liberal - wouldn't be caught dead with the average MAGA hatter. Just as long as they love him...
Without the stupidity of politics in the way, I'd like to see Russell Brand and Dennis Miller together. 2 people who can string words together quickly better than any other comedians.
It cuts both ways with Trump Larry. If you want to claim that Trump had political leanings throughout his life that were more in line with the Clinton's, then you also have to admit that Trump had never been considered a racist all throughout his very public existence in the news and the entertainment world for the past 3 decades. But the minute he announces he is a presidential candidate, he is suddenly labeled a racist by the main stream media and the DNC attack machine? C'mon Larry, have some principles and be consistent in your critique of Trump.
Larry is really not liking his answers...sorry Larry some people are real and Dennis is and he has class with disagreeing with you.. and come on you sat and lied you know of no fake news.....now that's about as fake as it gets.
Dennis is happy to put forth an opinion, but when pressed, his stock answer is "I don't know". Seinfeld was absolutely correct. Dennis got tired of doing heavy lifting.
@ministry86 Of course not. Saying "I don't know" can be laudable, even. But using that statement mixed with suggestion, innuendo, and ignorance is beyond the pale. He essentially washes his hands of responsibility for his own opinions (climate change, for instance, is a classic for him). It's fake. As fake as his use of references to make himself appear smarter than he is.
@@christopherclark2645 or maybe he's smart enough to know that his opinion is just an opinion, as opposed to something he needs to use to beat people over the head with. The "I don't know" he uses expresses great self-restraint, something wanting in our society quite frankly.
I myself find it refreshing. It means he's not forming an opinion or jumping to a conclusion because he's admitting he doesn't have enough information. More people should aspire to that.
bucky468 Dennis Miller skewered everyone who is a liberal. He has quite a following. What you see on TV is nothing compared to how Dennis is in person. He is a Trump supporter like I am, very intelligent and has quite a following.
Even if Larry's experience is representative of the whole and no one in journalism ever says, "let's get this guy," that doesn't mean that the reporting is accurate.
Larry's opinion on journalists being lily white and unbiased is humorous. Think of Hearst's stranglehold on news, Hopper and Parsons, people who made a living inventing and skewing stories. For every Cronkite there were ten duplicitous journalists working toward that golden goose of recognition.
I don’t see what all the hate is about. Thought it was a fun and interesting interview. Maybe you guys have a history with King? I never saw him. Miller is one of those guys who run the table. Wish I’d seen that kind of intellect when I was a kid.
Yeah he's sharp you have to break out the dictionary every now and then. When he was on HBO it was like a 10 second delay until l could catch up to what he meant .

Dennis, in less than two minutes you make the very keen observation that Trump's inner and outer voice are ONE and then you speak of duplicity. What seems to be missing in this evaluation is the possible change that the process, that the campaign, with hearing the voices of forgotten Americans, the insane opposition from those who once celebrated him, and the effect that would have on anyone. How many times has Trump said that he used to get such good press? I think that the process/experience has stripped him of much of the frivolous and he now sees that he has genuinely become a champion of the people and someone critical to the survival of this nation. Yeah, the Orange Man saves the day! Soon to be in theaters near you.
Love Dennis Miller. Mr. Miller whatever else your take is on issues, don't vote to allow the slaughter the unborn. Because I want you to remain one of my favorite comedians/people.
When he said that, I was like, "Wow, I've never seen such massive denial!" Hard to believe that one could ignore the daily, incessant lying/misinformation/misdirection, etc, that has been going on for years.
Chad Aitken Then he says people get into politics to be disingenuous when called on Trumps hypocrisy. To put any politician on a pedestal is a huge mistake. They don’t work for you. If you believe they do you are the fool.
@@michaelhuskey2460 Wrong because Dennis's point is that more that Trump is admirable because he is *not* the type of politician who *wants* to be put on a pedestal. I.e. someone who never was and does not want to be a politician. (someone who influences cultural realities for power and money)
As I am 100% free market capitalism, we as American employees and leaders need to make decisions that are morally correct and not always in self interest. Most of the self interest comes from Americans who work in the public sector and or for Government bc they won’t venture out into entrepreneurism bc they have it to good. The economy needs to be freer with more capitalism so that it makes the public sector employees switch over to pulling the wagon instead of being in the wagon this resulting in more moral decisions.
@ThamiumOne "do you want a president that uses behavior that you'd encourage your own child not to use?" I want a president that will do *the job* of president. It's my job to teach my kid right from wrong. Besides which, good luck finding a politician that doesn't behave in ways you don't want your child behaving. Lying, being quick to anger, thinking you're entitled to someone else's money. It's all there. Always. "It's not simply a laundry list of issues for voters when they have to decide - it also includes the person's relatability, too." That's the way it is, for some, but not the way it should be. That was Rogan's point. The "game" of politics is about putting on a facade and just getting people to like you. All too often you don't even need a plan that will work, just get enough celebrities backing you (or be one yourself) and you're good. But what should matter is a careful examination of your policies and, if applicable, your performance. IMO, Trump's done so well we'd be crazy not to give him another four years. We can go back to likable but mostly useless presidents (and I mean from both sides) after his second term :P

“I’m not sure if I’m certain enough of my guesswork to be liberal anymore.” This is a brilliant statement.
Larry can't be more detached with this interview. Even his chuckles are uncomfortable. 😂
He's been like that for a long time now. He's low on patience. It happens a lot when people get older.
Yup
Larry can’t be more detached from living
Socially liberal and fiscally conservative is probably a great way to describe most voters. Gotta respect that. I never had a problem finding an opinion from any comedian that I really like, to be different from mine on a particular topic, and still enjoying that comedian's performance.
Larry King...you are the only person that believes there is NO fake news!
How ironic that the opposite happened instead: RT (Larry's current home) called Dennis Miller and gave HIM a show ("Dennis Miller +one")
What new station DOESN'T have an agenda?
Come to think of it, haw could ANY sane person say they don't have an agenda against tRUMP?
What could CNN have on the 3× Bankrupt Casino Owner who didn't pay his CONTRACTORS? I'm aware of 1.....
He didn't work there during the Trump Era. He spoke of his personal experience.
Larry a little one-sided... CNN flunky most of his career
He was kinda cool when he started the midnight radio show... people could call in and talk about anything
I would never classify what Larry King does as "news"
And it's odd with all the strange conspiracy theories discussed at 3 a.m., that Larry King couldn't believe the media would slant news... there couldn't be a conspiracy right under his nose.
There wasn't much on at midnight back then
I remember His Show on AM radio
I would never consider what he does as credible nor "news"
Miller was hilarious as host of weekend update on Saturday night Live back in the late 80s early 90s.
It's not a "literal minefield"
I still laugh when I think of the guy who called into Dennis and began by saying, "I'm a traveling nurse and..." Too funny!
Love the sound of Larry King's laughter. Love how Dennis Miller is the instigator. Intelligence mixed with honest opinions, and observational humour is a very appealing quality. "You're a great man, Dennis." ~ Larry King. I second that emotion.
Watching this for Dennis and not liberal Larry. Libs are easy to figure out by how they frame there questions.
@VideoChannel9998 that's such bs - typical fascist leftist projecting. Wake up and swallow that red pill you dupe - while you still can.
I like how he shuts down every gotcha question Larry throws at him and all Larry does is shrug and changes the question.
Why did he go on LARRY?
@@mikewhite4560 You ever got the feeling that Larry didn't like him, despite those compliments? I remember him telling Norm that Miller wanted to be seen as an intellectual. I think Larry was a little intimidated by him.

Dennis is on my top five to have dinner with! Brilliantly hilarious.
My favorite comic for many years.
Always liked Dennis Miller. A comedian with a brain. Not the Richard Pryor, George Carlin type. He can make just on substance alone. This is the kind of interview you want to be even longer.

His team won.
Why do leftists persist with such obvious lies? Why don't you learn from being wrong about everything for four straight years? You're still scraping the Avenatti/Daniels 2020 sticker off your bumper, aren't you you pathetic child
Myles Matisse
I agree.
That seem like a little information response for Dennis.
Hopefully, Miller learned from his mistake on that.
That surprised me too Myles, but I'll bet he has been set straight on that score by now and I'll bet he is glad about it. Then again, perhaps Miller did understand what Trump meant, but he believed that Trump should have known the press would misconstrue the statement like they usually do. I believe the press KNEW what he meant, but jumped at the chance to cast
Trump in a bad light. One thing is for sure. Trump is not a surgical with his statements; he says what is on his mind. Sometimes though, he punks them with crazy talk. We get the joke.
Trump 2020, LANDSLIDE!
Trump is mentally unbalanced and an utter disgrace.

Let’s change the subject as soon as Dennis makes a point about the radical leftists
Never have lives less lived been more chronicled. That is the quote of this century so far.
Without the stupidity of politics in the way, I'd like to see Russell Brand and Dennis Miller together. 2 people who can string words together quickly better than any other comedians.
Really a treat. Two of the all time greats.
2 national treasures, having a conversation
Larry is really not liking his answers...sorry Larry some people are real and Dennis is and he has class with disagreeing with you.. and come on you sat and lied you know of no fake news.....now that's about as fake as it gets.
You go Dennis👏👏
Dennis is happy to put forth an opinion, but when pressed, his stock answer is "I don't know". Seinfeld was absolutely correct. Dennis got tired of doing heavy lifting.
@ministry86 Of course not. Saying "I don't know" can be laudable, even.
But using that statement mixed with suggestion, innuendo, and ignorance is beyond the pale. He essentially washes his hands of responsibility for his own opinions (climate change, for instance, is a classic for him).
It's fake. As fake as his use of references to make himself appear smarter than he is.
Exactly! Very good observation.
I saw Dennis in person. He is hilarious in person. The place was packed and we laughed none stop.🤣🤣😂😂
bucky468 Nothing was sacred.
bucky468 Dennis Miller skewered everyone who is a liberal.

I think that the process/experience has stripped him of much of the frivolous and he now sees that he has genuinely
become a champion of the people and someone critical to the survival of this nation. Yeah, the Orange Man saves the day! Soon to be in theaters near you.

Larry is coming across as smug and boring in this conversation. He idealizes journalists and the news media as if they could do no wrong.
When he said that, I was like, "Wow, I've never seen such massive denial!" Hard to believe that one could ignore the daily, incessant lying/misinformation/misdirection, etc, that has been going on for years.
The inner voice and outer voice insight is bullseye wisdom.
@ThamiumOne "do you want a president that uses behavior that you'd encourage your own child not to use?"
I want a president that will do *the job* of president. It's my job to teach my kid right from wrong. Besides which, good luck finding a politician that doesn't behave in ways you don't want your child behaving. Lying, being quick to anger, thinking you're entitled to someone else's money. It's all there. Always.
"It's not simply a laundry list of issues for voters when they have to decide - it also includes the person's relatability, too."
That's the way it is, for some, but not the way it should be.
