What a deeelight to spend time with you!! Your fletching is so incredibly fun!! You are making me want to run out and get a SQ of the Rauma!! And your treysta is truly beautiful!!
I love all your projects and particularly rejoiced with you on your Fletching - that colourwork! - and laughed along with you about your balaclava lookalike - so cute. So much to enjoy in your podcast, as always, thank you! I'm busy looking up wool for a Lottie.... Good luck with your schedule!
I love the whispy colorwork on the fletching sweater, and the green is very complimentary for you. I have not tried brioche yet, but really like the satellite shawl.
😍😍😍 Your Fletching is just soooo good Leanne!! And I adore your Treysta. I attempted to make a Treysta steeked cardigan a few years ago but sadly it ended up too small so it went off to a good home. It was nearly the same colours as yours (great minds 🤗). Your niece's cardigan is darling. Kids knits are so quick and fun. You are a better spouse than I as I love John, but there's no way in heck I'd knit him anything in pure black 🤣 Glad Dave chose a different yarn--it's knitting up beautifully. I've been meaning to make myself a Musselburgh hat as well. Thanks for the inspiration as always 🤗💕
Hi Nikki, thanks for for hanging out with me!! I think we definitely have VERY similar colour tastes in Lopi!! I love the sweater you just finished for your partner!
Love love the Fletching. Nice fit on you and lovely knit. I adore the Balaclava. I think it is a simple fix ( the head piece/ neck piece looks like good sizing. )I made these for our soldiers during Iraq war. So in the pattern the stitches you pick up around the face I would scale back on. As well…. Take the face in 4 quadrants… 2 left /right of eyebrows… 2 left /right of chin…. Knit 2 together on every other row… Just for these 4 areas. think what Iam trying to convey … it tightens / gathers up nicely around your face vs. gapping. Just an idea. Your knitting is so so good… I would never attempt to teach… or EVER criticize. ( I hope I have not… just an idea I was wanting to pass along. )…. Have a great day. Love your podcasts… I look to see you next time. ❤️
Hi Cindy! I was determined to frog this balaclava to use the yarn again, but I think you are absolutely right about how to make it look better, and the step by step instructions how to pick up and make it tighter around the face are awesome! That is so incredible. How many do you think you made for the soldiers?!
I enjoy your videos! You have such a warm, positive vibe. Sorry to say you do look like a Sponge Towel mascot BUT you look gorgeous in your Fletchling sweater. ❤
Great show. Trendy or What Knot is my local yarn shop. We are lucky to have Mady. Your knits are lovely, even the balaclava (I would keep it). 😃 I look forward to more episodes. Thank you.
Thx for another great podcast Leanne! I always enjoy seeing other yarn/craft shops. Your Fletching is gorgeous and fits perfectly. I agree, adding additional short rows to your Jennifer Steingass will make it too bulky. I hope your April flying schedule is more to your liking.
So good to see you again! Your pullover is a stunner, well done! And no, you do not look like a horse, though you have a lovely mane of hair! 😄 Thank you for another thoroughly delightful episode. 😊💐
Your finished and unfinished items are lovely! Thank you for sharing your work. Kudo's for showing an object you'll not wear and saying you'll unravel it. OM Goodness. It's like closing a book you're not enjoying. Last episode you talked about TheGither Cowl so I watched Amy's podcast and looked at the colours for the Scottish Wool Festival. My Gither would be based on the Wallace Tartan. After 2024, when I try to use up as much of my wool as possible, I will make thegither cowl. A great podcast, thanks for sharing. Cheers
Thank you Leanne, I laughed so hard at you continuing to video while wearing your balaclava 😂 The yarn and work is beautiful, but I understand when gauge is off 😜
Thank you for another episode, Leanne! You feel like such a friend to sit and knit with, even if I never met you! :) All the woollies are gorgeous as always (love both the bright Fletching and the moody Thegither cowl!), and your work life really sounds tough but rewarding at the same time... "I need more cardigans in my life" - haha, don't we all?!! Lately, I've started to finally do something about this too, and I made a lovely Carbeth Cardigan by Kate Davies (probably my all-time favourite designer) and a heavily modified Akantus Cardigan by Skeindeer. Didn't modify the fit, though! If you ever need a moderately fitted "little cardi" with seamless(!) set-in sleeves that looks really put together, but will still be a cozy handmade item: I highly recommend both the Akantus and the Haust cardigan patterns by Skeindeer. They're steeked in various places and the construction may feel absolutely wild in the beginning, but the fit is just great and I reach for both of them every time I feel indecisive about what to wear. Interesting observation with the metal needles gauge difference - I never knit on anything but metal, just upgraded from low quality aluminium needles to KnitPro Zings and HiyaHiyas and the occasional Chiaogoo a few years back. I've always been a tight knitter, but discovered my gauge gets even tighter if the tips are pointy. KnitPro Zing needles are a little on the blunt side and I get a 23st/10cm gauge on 3.75mm with them. Switch to Chiaogoo, and I suddenly get 24sts on 4.5mm! Will readily admit that I rarely do proper gauge swatches, partly because of this. I just play around with any new-to-me yarn in stockinette for a bit before starting a large garment to get a feel for the fabric. Anyways, watching your episode has brought some much needed peace and positivity to my heart today. Knitting and travelling - two of my favourite things, it just never fails! I'm currently improvising tiny stuff - have knitted two funny little stuffed bunny rabbits after an old Arne&Carlos pattern to give to a friend's kids for Easter, and I'm figuring out something fun to dress them in (and use up scraps)! At the same time, I'm working on a vintage jumper. Like, proper 1940s-pattern, comes-in-only-1-size, there's-only-one-pattern-photo-and-no-charts, good-luck-see-you-on-the-other-side vintage. It's got a bobbles&lace stitch pattern on it that looks a bit like upside-down fireworks bursting, and apparently it was pretty iconic back in the day. Keeping my fingers crossed it won't turn out awful, haha! Hope you're doing well and your son is recovering quickly! Ouch...! Thanks again, "see" you around!
Thank you for the Skeindeer recommendations! Straight in the favourites they go! I’m in awe of your bravery tackling the 1940s pattern ❤️🔥 Awesome! Thank you so much for watching and your message.
Ravelry cart is always chock ‘o block full but after seeing your Fletchling sweater, that pattern’s now awaiting my purchase 😆. Love your travel/knitting podcasts. Thank you for taking us along!
Thank you for another great episode. I love you finull sweater. 😊 Your balaklave ... yeah... after that pickture I understand you will be frogging it. 😂😂 You look like sunshine, as always. I hope your april work days will be better. Looking forward until you next episode. 😊
I love your podcasts! I'm in North Bay, ON. I love that you have turned, what could be a lonely job (I live alone), into a great adventure! Your tours of different cities/towns are wonderful and educational. I will get to some of them. I love your green sweater (the proper name and designer are in my notes and there's a good chance I will make it). Thanks for taking us along!
The darker section of your tartan cowl would be considered the 'working or field' tartan. The everyday tartan that Scots would wear while doing their daily chores. It was typically a drab version of their dress tartan. I told you before how much I love your Fletching sweater, its absolutely gorgeous! I love the colours you chose for your other colour work yoke sweater (forgot the name) and that cowl, stunning!
The Garden Cardigan and the Ling V-Neck are also in my queue/favorites! Plan to cast on the cardigan soon so I have it for summer. Also Gerard Butler - hello!
Ooh your Fletching is gorgeous and just screams Spring! Your Tryesta looks super cosy and I love the colour combos you've used. Had to giggle at your balaclava. I recently made a hat for my husband and my gauge was so off it ended up way too big and floppy 😂 it's a good job we can laugh at ourselves 😊
Thanks so much for this episode. I really enjoy traveling via video with you in Canada! I also loved seeing your Fletching and the Treysna. Gorgeous! Love those greens and the heathery neutrals. Thanks for the heads up on possible trouble areas in the patterns. Loved knitting with you and hearing about your family adventures too. Stay well and fly safe!
Omy gosh your Fletching is simply amazing Leanne! totally going in my queue! And totally laughed at the sponge towel commercial! LOL Absolutely love your colours for the Treysta. It will be soso good! Thanks for sharing all the knitting inspo and hope you get to land in New Brunswick sometime! 🥰💖
Hallo Leanne, greetings from Germany! I love your podcast and all the places you take us with. Just rewatched the last episode for the cardigan content, as I too need more cardigans in my life. I just knitted the Gärdesgård Cardigan and my next one will be the Sera Cardigan by Manmi Choi in a summery yarn. The Cocktail Cardi you mentioned made it on my list, as it has it all - a contiguous shoulder and a button band that is knitted along with the body. Thanks for the suggestion! All the best and see you next time 🙋🏻♀️
I follow several vloggers from around the world; Knitty Natty, The Cornish Knitter, The Albanach Knitter, but so nice to be watch some Canadian content. And great that you are showing others our Canadian cities. Maybe next time you’re in Fort St John area you can visit Faking Sanity in Dawson Creek. They have books, tea and yarn. A perfect trifecta I think. About 5 hours south from me, the closest thing I have to a LYS.
Oh wow! I love your color choices for the Treysta… so beautiful! Thank you for sharing footage of the places you visit on your layovers. The history, the sights, and of course the yarn stores! I am knitting my first Musselburgh Hat. Using magic loop. I noticed you were knitting yours on a smaller circular needle….I might enjoy that more. Love the format of your podcast. Keep up the good work. We appreciate you!
Thank you so much! I do like to make hats on 16 inch circulars that is my preference. The only thing I prefer using magic loop for is socks.🧦 thanks for watching and your kind comment :)
I followed Knitty Natty’s tutorial for starting the Musselburgh which begins with magic loop but then I transferred to my 16” circs. Here’s the video: th-cam.com/video/1ycBozCnmAk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=FfiQ47BTcznOFV8C
Thank you once again Leanne. I need to get some Arcane Fibre Yarn some day. It is always spectacular. Your fletching is a thing of beauty. I am just finishing up my Brookline Blouse and I have bought the yarn to make Joji’s new cardigan the Milton. So I am excited for that. We are coming into our winter down here but it never gets as cold as it does for you guys. Happy flying and see you next time🧡 Christine, Australia
Love your springy Fletching and that super cute kid’s cardi! This is the time when I gravitate to the bright colours. Winter isn’t quite finished with us as I’m watching your podcast here in Grande Prairie. ❄️ My scenery is brown and white, so bright green and pink are pretty welcome! I will be knitting motifs for blankets for Christmas this summer and I’ll sew them together after the heat has gone. I usually have a shawl, some socks, a sweater and a hat on the go and summer is no exception. I’m working with wool anytime. 😊 I will admit to sticking with socks in extreme heat though. I’m also working on my second Musselburgh! I’m using Crux Fibres BFL, which I love. Thanks for another lovely podcast! ❤
Spring certainly hasn’t sprung here in AB yet hey!? We are expecting up to 30 cm by Friday here in Calgary and area. Happy knitting to you in YQU! Hey, that rhymes 😀
Thanks, Leanne! So gorgeous to see you back! Beautiful projects, all of them. I’m all over cardigans these days too, effects of the spring being all around! I wish I could knit wool in the warmer months but it does get sticky hot to do so. Thinking of a plant based fiber for a summery Joji Locatelli’s Elton. Take care 🪁✨💖
When I knit my Musselburgh hats, I always use two colors because it’s a reversible hat and you can pick and choose what color you want to wear and it looks really cool when you flip it up and you see that second color. So if you really wanted to, you could do half of your hat in black for your husband. I don’t like to knit with black yarn because it’s so hard to see but sometimes I just have to force myself.😮
II love love your fletching sweater. The color is to dye for. Lol. I stopped watching to comment on your balaclava. I am up late, by myself, crocheting on a baby blanket and jjust laughing my head off at the pictures of the paper towel people and you. So funny that you kept it on the entire time you talked about it. Now back to watching.
I was sitting in a hotel room in Osaka just relaxing listening to my favourite podcast, when .... I hear my name!!! You made my day. Thank you for the shout out! Glad you loved the store.
Nice to see you again and your beautiful fletching sweater! The balaclava gave me astronaut helmet vibes too. I love seeing the many places and yarn stores in Canada, thanks for the tour. I'm finding my self knitting a few accessories these days, a manhattan hat, some self drafted socks using Crux fibres wool no less. My last sweater was with manchelopi, the Matthew pullover, which I love. Till next time!
@@theknittystew There are so many pages! I got lost and made mistakes, but they respond with pattern support and are nice about it. I'm considering another that has even more pages, crazy me. It's the vest version of the building blocks cardi.
Leanne, thank you so much for allowing me to laugh along with you re: the cowl and reference -- I just ripped back half a sweater due to much larger gauge and realize I'm not the only one. I switched to metal needles years ago to "knit faster" but found out recently this accounts for some of my larger gauge too. Your spring green sweater is lovely! (Calgary)
Mom's intuition is never wrong. My granddaughter had a bad cold and she went to the doctor. My daughter asked for a flu test and she was positive for it. I'm working on Amy Palko's Coorie In Poncho while I watch you knit. Living in the Northeast of the US it will still be wearable even in April. I'm doing more sewing for my summer wardrobe, but I knit all through the summer with no problems (in the AC like you do). Looking forward to your next vid. Glad you got a clean bill of health. It's such a relief.
I too am a fan of Jessica McDonald. I've not yet attempted colorwork but I do have the pattern and after seeing your green version of the Fletching, I'm all in for it. Your Balaclava is nice and your liking it to the Sponge Towels was hilarious.
Your Fletching is stunning and love the green. wishing you good fortune in both your April bids and fighting the parking ticket. Mission BC looks like a place one would want to live. It was lovely and bonus it had a really nice yarn shop so what more could I ask for. I'm currently working on the Varma by Sari Nordlund. living here in EC I find I knit with both wool and plant fibers all year. there's no AC where I live but I can usually find a breeze that helps when it gets a little too warm with the wool. Have a great few weeks.
I absolutely love your enthusiasm! I’m working on a hat for myself in the same kind of Barbie pink. I often wear sunnies outside so no problem there. 😎 But that little Lottie “gardigan” - I Need one and I’m an old lady.
Thank you for a wonderful podcast. Your Fletching is beautiful 😍 When you first showed that green yarn I thought it was way to bright but it looks stunning on you
Hey Leanne thanks for keeping me company while I did all the cooking chores for the week 😁 Andrea Mowry has a shawl along that ends in May on Insta and Ravelry.
The fletching is absolutely gorgeous and looks great on you! You’re giving preppy vibes with the bright green and pink colors…love! Thanks for a fun podcast. ❤
Love your my fletching sweater. It does look like a fun knit. It has been in my queue for a while! Have to clear a few wips before I can start that one.
I live on a desert island but know that all my knits will eventually be worn in cooler east coast weather. So I knit what I want regardless of outside temps. Currently looking forward to casting on Helen Stewart's MKAL (my first one) using Circus Tonic merino called Flock Fingering. On my needles is Instant Crush by Joji Locatelli and I am totally loving this knit, so fun. I'm using Lichen and Lace Mohair doubled which I picked up from Megan in New Brunswick on holiday last year. The yarn is beautiful to work with and another first for me using Mohair doubled. Speaking of cardigans I recently made the Felix Cardigan using Noro Kureyon which I also purchased last summer in Nova Scotia at Gasperaeu Valley Fibres, I love the fit of the Felix pullover and the cardigan is just as nice. Dream knitting would be the new sweater Tresse from Isabel Kraemer perhaps with Rowan Felted Tweed I have on hand. The Fletching is gorgeous, the green colour is perfect. I love your podcast so much and love visiting all the yarn stores digitally with you. And most recently I've starting making socks and am addicted. I'm making the Blackberry Shorties designed by Heidi Wulfraat of Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia with yarn from Midknit Cravings of Saskatchewan in the colour Hydrangea. Phew when I write it down it's a lot of knitting....and I quilt too in my spare time lol.
Hi Sandra! I wanted to reply a couple days ago but wanted to look up ALL these lovely projects you’ve mentioned first! Enjoy the MKAL! And I also have Instant Crush on my radar…thanks for hanging out and watching my episode. Happy knitting …and quilting!!! 👋🏼
Just disvcovered your channel. The green on your Fletching sweater is so vibrant and amazing. I love wearing bright colours like that in winter to lift my mood.
I love the way your Fletchings by JM turned out! It's so lovely Since you asked...I'm playing catch-up knitting for the local fiber mill. Been sick for a while. Glad you are well. Also doing beading for several upcoming events and for st markers for the fiber mill events. Oh yes, I forgot the 2 pair of socks as well. I've got a lot of catching up to do.
What a fun episode!! That’s so cool your husband got to go to work with you. I laughed so much with the paper towel commercial. I never saw that brand before. I’m also excited for more cardigans. I’ve casted on for my second Felix cardigan using the istex lettlopi.
Haha Jillian I had such a great time knitting it and I wasn’t sad that I had to let it go.. frogging the fluff and the fingering weight yarn was slooooow and painful. But onward and upward! I LOVE THAT you are jumping into Lettlopi! So rustic and yet so beautiful 🤩 Can’t wait to see it!
Hi Leanne! Last year I knit a green sweater for St. Paddy’s day. This year I knit a green sock head in Socknado. Yay for green sweaters! Yours looks awesome! Greetings from Jasper…Patrick
Hi Patrick 👋🏼 I am convinced that one cannot have too many green knits 💚💚 Where do you get your yarn from in beautiful Jasper? You mentioned Socknado, and I am so lucky to have Ancient Arts dye studio dangerously close to my house.
Good to see you again - if you ever make it to Palm Springs, California, I'll buy you a cold drink! :D Hey, Dave only has to get up and dressed, no make up or hair do - so much easier! LOL. Good fun tho to spend a bit fo time together. Sounds like your cold is clearing - I'll bet you'll be fine in no time.
Love that Fletching! If you ever are on a layover in NYC I’d be happy to take you on a yarn crawl. All my projects these days seem to be yarn I purchased while traveling - great memories of meeting great folk and skirting the typical tourism traps.
I love your Thegither cowl, Leeanne. I feel in love with the pattern when Amy Palko showed it on her podcast. Can't wait for the pattern release. Lovely podcast from Mission.
In case my previous note didn’t go through….sorry is this is a repeat note. First..I love your FLETCHING..it’s VERY FETCHING! Secondly..I love your Balaclava as well! If you think the fit around the face is too loose? What about adding some elastic? And you’d NEVER look like paper towel guy! Your work on that is so pretty….I’d wear it for FIT and FUNCTION for sure! And YOU bring on the FASHION of it! 🍀💚🍀
Awaiting Amy Palkow’s cowl pattern to come out. Choosing colors is difficult. The green Fletching looks wonderful on you and I too am knitting another Musselburgh hat to carry with me when I travel. Have a healthy month. 😊
LisaR : Your finished projects are Gorgeous! Ok , the balaclava ... I can't unsee the towel guy 😅- spot on & great sense of humor ;) I just realized today that my Chiagoo metal needles actually measure almost a whole size different than the bamboo - maybe worth trying your needles in a gauge ruler ..I never would have but have been using bamboo a lot and noticed gauge difference when switching this am ❤
Omggg I cracked up “I don’t look like a horse” 😂 I love the green yarn in your sweater!!! Green is my daughter’s favorite color… that is interesting your gauge changed when you switched needle brands! Happy knitting and nice to catch up!
That's hilarious how you look like the paper towel guy in your balaclava. Gorgeous yarn, but that image is a killer. I'm going to check out crux fibres in Whitehorse.
Love the green sweater Leanne, you are a beautiful knitter. I so appreciate the bits of info on the cities you visit.
Thank you so much!
That green! Definitely your color
Thank you! 💚💚 I love it!
Wow! Your tartan cowl is gorgeous!
Thank you, Kathy!!!
What a deeelight to spend time with you!! Your fletching is so incredibly fun!! You are making me want to run out and get a SQ of the Rauma!! And your treysta is truly beautiful!!
Thanks Selma! The Rauma and I have definitely bonded 😆
Such a lovely store! I love your adventures, thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much. I’m so happy you’re here Cat!!
Hi Leanne! I"m a bit behind in my watching....I LOVE that sweater! That green is everything!
Hiii 👋🏼 💚💚🤍🤍 Completely loving this green too… and my experience with Rauma was a magic combo
Your sweater is beautiful and looks great on you!
Oh thank you Sara!
I love the whispy colorwork on the fletching sweater, and the green is very complimentary for you. I have not tried brioche yet, but really like the satellite shawl.
Thank you! Hopefully we both jump into the world of brioche this year.
Yep I only knit on wool year around. Love your fletching…..so nice!!!
I am glad I’m not alone in that!
Fist time, really enjoyed your show. I'll will return. Good travels.
That is wonderful thank you!

OMG I can’t stop laughing 😂 and you explain how you made the Snood of Sponge Towels. God bless you Leanne. You always give me a giggle! ❤😂
Aw yay!! Laughter truly is the BEST medicine… the Balaclava has been frogged and shall become a new creation
You made me laugh so much this morning with you hat
🤣 😆 Laughter is the best! I’m so glad.

Sorry to say you do look like a Sponge Towel mascot BUT you look gorgeous in your Fletchling sweater. ❤
100% Scott Towel Twin 👌🏼 This balaclava has been frogged.. provided me with lots of laughs
Another great episode Leanne!
Aw thanks Kathy! 🤗
Lovely episode. I love that you highlight/support the local yarn shops and business in the places you visit......
Thank you! 😊 It is such a privilege, and a pleasure to do so!
Great show. Trendy or What Knot is my local yarn shop. We are lucky to have Mady. Your knits are lovely, even the balaclava (I would keep it). 😃 I look forward to more episodes. Thank you.

That My Fletching is spectacular!!!!
Thank you Leanne, I laughed so hard at you continuing to video while wearing your balaclava 😂 The yarn and work is beautiful, but I understand when gauge is off 😜
Thanks Janice!! Gotta laugh hey, the world can feel awfully serious these days 😂
Your fletching turned out great ❤ and the balaclava looked so cute yet funny. I think i do want to cast one the cowl turned out very beautiful
Thank you 😊!!

Love your sweaters! Yes, you look like the Canadian paper towel guy in the balaclava 🤣🤣
RIGHT!? 100% Thank you !!
All those colours! Gorgeous. ❤ I’m working a on a fingering weight dress and hoping to finish it by my 50th birthday on May 1!
Hi Lisa!! I have NO doubt you will make the deadline. Welcome to the 50 Club my fellow Taurus!!!

Hi Kathy! Would love to visit beautiful North Bay one day!
👍I love my Rug sweater by Junko Okamoto so much that I am now making her Tanaka using Malabrigo Mecha Bulky superwash. Loving it. Knit on!
Thank you. Section 3 is my working/field tartan section!
Love the gither colors!
Thank you! ☺️
The Garden Cardigan and the Ling V-Neck are also in my queue/favorites! Plan to cast on the cardigan soon so I have it for summer. Also Gerard Butler - hello!
We have the same taste in knits and men 😆
Your podcast is wonderful!!! Your Fletched is GORGEOUS. Thank you for the Kate Davies cardigan idea. Very tempting! Happy trails! Thank you!!!
Thank you so much Linda! Happy knitting to you! 💚💚
Gotta laugh hey!! 😆
Thanks Sophie! Oh friend me toooo!
All the best and see you next time 🙋🏻♀️
Hallo 👋🏼 What beautiful cardigan patterns you’ve chosen! Added to favourites. Thank you for being here 🤍
I’m almost finished working on my Garden Cardigan, just a little ribbing left. It’s a great pattern, very well written and the pattern is easy.
Wonderful! I can’t wait!
I was nervous when you were trying on your Treysta. You've got good stoppers on your needles.
Your Treysta looks really great.
Thank you so much!
@@theknittystew How do you start your Musselburgh? On dpns?
I followed Knitty Natty’s tutorial for starting the Musselburgh which begins with magic loop but then I transferred to my 16” circs. Here’s the video: th-cam.com/video/1ycBozCnmAk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=FfiQ47BTcznOFV8C
@@theknittystew Thanks, I’ll check it out.
Lovely projects on your needles and the Milton soon!!! Happy knitting down under Christine!!!
TH-cam unsubscribed me! Fixed that, hmph. Love the green sweater!!
Glad you’re back subbed!!
Oh what a lovely Store, I wish we had Yarn Stores like this nearby. I love your Sweater it is awesome and thanks for showing us Mission
My pleasure!
I so enjoy going with you on your adventures and seeing all your beautiful knits.
I'm so glad!
A summer Elton would be perfect 😍
We ❤ the SpongeTowel guys!! Still love your balaclava and Fletching! Thanks for sharing your travels
Me too! They’re hilarious
THAT is genius!
Hello hello... You are about 1 hour from where I live.. I enjoy your channel so much...Enjoy the knitting shop.... Mary Suzanne from British Columbia
Hello Mary Suzanne!
That’s so funny! I love that it’s giving my friends on here a good chuckle because I just think it’s too hilarious!
I was sitting in a hotel room in Osaka just relaxing listening to my favourite podcast, when .... I hear my name!!! You made my day. Thank you for the shout out! Glad you loved the store.
Osaka!
LOVE your Fletching sweater!! Color looks GREAT on you!!! Beautiful WIPS!!! Always so look forward to your posts!!
Thank you so much Darlene!
Leslie I love that “astronaut helmet” 😆 … I have never knit an Aimee Sher design ! Might have to follow in your footsteps with that one.
@@theknittystew There are so many pages! I got lost and made mistakes, but they respond with pattern support and are nice about it. I'm considering another that has even more pages, crazy me. It's the vest version of the building blocks cardi.
Great Fledgling knit. Perfect colours.
Thank you!
I was knitting on the Musselburgh for my daughter as I watched this!! Hoping to. knit myself one too.
Happy Musselburgh-ing!!
Love all your knits ! Jessica McDonald & Amy Palko are my favorites.
A couple of gems aren’t they?!!
(Calgary)
Ah you get it! I do think the need for speed trumps gauge in my opinion, especially if we like the fabric we are creating!
Thank you Pat!!!
I too am a fan of Jessica McDonald. I've not yet attempted colorwork but I do have the pattern and after seeing your green version of the Fletching, I'm all in for it. Your Balaclava is nice and your liking it to the Sponge Towels was hilarious.
Definitely a good first time garment for colour work for sure, and she has great tutorials on TH-cam! Please let me know how it goes if you do!
Thanks Sharon! As far as lower mainland living goes, Mission would be a solid choice!
That green is gorgeous on you! Makes your eyes pop!
Thank you! 💚
Thank you for another engaging and wonderful episode!
Thank you for watching!
I absolutely love your enthusiasm!
I’m working on a hat for myself in the same kind of Barbie pink. I often wear sunnies outside so no problem there. 😎
But that little Lottie “gardigan” - I Need one and I’m an old lady.
I want an adult Lottie Cardigan too!!
That is awesome!
The fletching is absolutely gorgeous and looks great on you! You’re giving preppy vibes with the bright green and pink colors…love! Thanks for a fun podcast. ❤
Oh thank you! Was a headbanger growing up, and now living my Preppy life!
So pleased I came across your channel
Lovely green sweater
Sending lots of love from 🇬🇧 xx❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for watching Paula! Welcome to you in the UK! 🤗
Thank you xx❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love your my fletching sweater. It does look like a fun knit. It has been in my queue for a while! Have to clear a few wips before I can start that one.
It is such a satisfying knit. Happy WIP knitting!!
Your shows are so relaxing. I enjoy them so much. Your green sweater is beautiful and looks great on you.
Thank you so much Barbara!
You do such beautiful color work
Thank you so much!
I'm sitting and knitting with yarn that just arrived from Your Next Knit that I used your discount code for! 🙌🙌 Thanks so much!
👏🏼 👏🏼 yay!!! What did you get!!
@@theknittystew also Rauma actually! And also some sandnes garn tynn silk mohair
👌🏼 perfect 🤩
Just disvcovered your channel. The green on your Fletching sweater is so vibrant and amazing. I love wearing bright colours like that in winter to lift my mood.
Hello welcome! Green in general has always made my heart very happy 💚💚 Do you have a podcast?
@@theknittystew yes me and my sister have a very tiny podcast. We are from Melbourne in Australia.
Thank you so much! Love your podcast, it has encouraged me to make my first visit to St Johns in June. I figure I will still need warm woolies then!
That is so exciting!! Oh St. John’s in June… heaven.
I recently finished the Garden Cardigan, great pattern with easy to memorize repeats. I think it will be a great spring summer cardigan.
Wonderful! What yarn did you use?
I used a yarn by Kate Davies
I love the way your Fletchings by JM turned out! It's so lovely
Since you asked...I'm playing catch-up knitting for the local fiber mill. Been sick for a while.
Glad you are well.
Also doing beading for several upcoming events and for st markers for the fiber mill events. Oh yes, I forgot the 2 pair of socks as well. I've got a lot of catching up to do.
Sorry you’ve been sick. Happy knitting catch up!!!
That would be lovely!!
Your bright green Fletching is amazing and looks fantastic on you Leanne! Happy Spring…
Thank you! You too! 🌱 Calgary hasn’t realized it’s Spring yet… we just got a foot of snow this morning! 😆
Love that Fletching! If you ever are on a layover in NYC I’d be happy to take you on a yarn crawl. All my projects these days seem to be yarn I purchased while traveling - great memories of meeting great folk and skirting the typical tourism traps.
Oh my gosh that would be AMAAAZING! Sadly we haven’t had layovers in NYC since about 2017 or even earlier. I would love that so much
Just found your channel. Love your sweater! That green is so lovely. Looking forward to viewing more of you podcasts. Happy Spring!!
Nice to have you here! Thank you so much!
Great episode Leanne …you are so special 😊 💕 😘
Thank you! 😊
I love your Thegither cowl, Leeanne. I feel in love with the pattern when Amy Palko showed it on her podcast. Can't wait for the pattern release. Lovely podcast from Mission.
Me too!! I jumped at the opportunity to test!!
❤good morning leanne🎉
Love ur podcasts and yarn shop tours!!!
Elaine🏠☃️♥️
Hi 👋🏼 Elaine always happy you are here!!
You are so kind! Sadly, the balaclava went to Froggy City already as I was set on reclaiming that wool. Really enjoyed the pattern though!
@@theknittystew oh…not sad…progress for your future! Happy Knitting
Always great to see one of your videos Leanne! Hope you come to SF!
I hope so too! If I get along SFO, what yarn shop should I visit?
@@theknittystew for sure Firebird Yarns on Haight street, and if you can get to Pacifica, The Royal Bee Yarn Company
Just found you my wife likes your approach and skill with the garment - thank you
Awaiting Amy Palkow’s cowl pattern to come out. Choosing colors is difficult. The green Fletching looks wonderful on you and I too am knitting another Musselburgh hat to carry with me when I travel. Have a healthy month. 😊
Thank you Nancy!
LisaR : Your finished projects are Gorgeous! Ok , the balaclava ... I can't unsee the towel guy 😅- spot on & great sense of humor ;)
I just realized today that my Chiagoo metal needles actually measure almost a whole size different than the bamboo - maybe worth trying your needles in a gauge ruler ..I never would have but have been using bamboo a lot and noticed gauge difference when switching this am ❤
Oh my goodness that is fascinating. I will check when I get back home!!
Omggg I cracked up “I don’t look like a horse” 😂
I love the green yarn in your sweater!!! Green is my daughter’s favorite color… that is interesting your gauge changed when you switched needle brands! Happy knitting and nice to catch up!
🐴
Truly look forward to your podcasts! Like you, I knit year long. On the needles is the Agava by Dan Doh knit and Crochet.
Wonderful! There’s a lot of us wool knitters year round it seems!
That's hilarious how you look like the paper towel guy in your balaclava. Gorgeous yarn, but that image is a killer. I'm going to check out crux fibres in Whitehorse.
Thanks for this one Leanne. I live near White Rock and did not know about the yarn shop. Can’t wait to have a trip out to Mission to see it.
Mini road trip in your future !!
