I remember meeting RuPaul near the piers off Christopher Street in NYC in the 1980s. Nobody knew who she was then, of course. What you don’t realize is how tall she is in person. She has a commanding presence and was as down to earth and nice as her Tv personality. I’m so glad that she has become a globally loved sensation. Congratulations, RuPaul, I always knew you had it, girl, you the best!

I just like it when any late night talkshows upload their monologue before air time, because I'm actually not much a late-night person - even though I like watching late-night talk shows, haha.

I just want to say, Ru is a man just slightly older than me (7½ years), so I fear losing his love, light, and talent whenever he leaves this world. Our world needs so much more of what he has to give.
It hurts us all when people are hateful. Wouldn't it be great if we could all just exist in peace, without ever hearing from bigots, and needing to mention them, and needing to protect ourselves by having to tell people personal things about ourselves, so they know we exist, so they can understand and care about others like us? Though I've seen RuPaul out of drag numerous times, it never ceases to amaze me how he transforms into an unrecognizably different person when in drag, more so than any other drag queen I've seen (though admittedly, I didn't see that many!).
