When following these steps, all lights (other then the power light) stays on for about 5-10 seconds and turns off again. Any suggestions?

What?
This router is to BOOST your current signal... let's say your signal with your modem works in your living room but drops off in your bed room. A good router will take that same signal and boost it where now you will have a signal in your bed room and possibly further...
As in my house, my modem is on the opposite side of my 3 bedroom house, and would drop from Great to a good signal.. I added my router ( not this one, mine is much better) and I practically have a perfect signal all the way pased my neighbors yeard🤣
