I have been a fan of three birds renovations for years. This is the first house I didn't like. It seems like every episode of this house they try to "think outside of the box" on the expense of practicality
This is not a very liveable house. Its very pinterest pretty, but I feel like most people (this particular couple for example) wouldn't be the type to go for looks over practicality. Most people don't ahaha The bathroom in the masterbedroom doesnt have a door, the benches in the kitchen seem so uncomfortable and the kids cant use those tiny tables to do homework while the moms cook or even EAT there. Doesnt really seem to suit a family life. The house IS pretty, but the design doesnt take details of a everyday family life into consideration, its nothing but a showhouse and not a home. I can see the family caving into the necessities eventually and adapting some stuff through out the house.
or the bench for the dining table - looks amazing but how long do you want to sit there with nothing to lean on? your back is going to hurt at some point .. same with the chair in the living room, it looks gorgeous but doesn't seem very inviting to sit in
Totally agree. This kitchen is just so uncomfortable to use. Would have been much better to get a bigger island that could sit people, with the sink, and get ride of the L shape part of the kitchen under the window, and use part of that space + the ridiculous long mirror space for a breakfast nook or coffee/wine bar.
Actually it was a design decision. We wanted the top of the cabinetry to align perfectly with the top of the rangehood. We wanted that instead of a bulkhead which would have made that wall feel less connected to the rest of the kitchen. X
I understand people have differing tastes on these things but to me it would have added height to the room if all the cabinets and range top would have stretched up to the ceiling. Very pretty and instagrammable though.
Maybe if you put a seat, there is a wall with window behind and just unused space. I think it's better to put a seat at the island if behind it is just open area.
Particularly with kids, eating breakfast, after school snacks. Less workable for a family with those tiny tables. It looks clever how they have done it but not practical.
@@leerobertson1384 I'd like to disagree with you. given your point about the island counters but the dining table is not that far away form the kitchen. I think they'll just be fine without seating at the island counter.

Not sure how functional this kitchen is but it’s definitely beautiful. I would’ve added at least a 30” bistro table at the banquette and some type of pop-down table for the laundry
Lana is that friend who drags the others in lots of problems. I'm obsessed with that island counter ladies. Can't wait to take the look at the other rooms but don't want this to get over too.
In the background of the check in with the owners, the background is mainly dark, I wonder if the owners don’t like beige. Like the house is open and stunning but I love dark colors and the owners seem like they are dark colors fans too.
But they loved the look of the bird's instagram, so they knew they were getting light colors... They might be surprised it's not white though, since that is usually the "color" Bonnie goes for.
Every plan I had for my apartment has just been thrown out of the window with this design. Bonnie, I adore your white on white on white home; it has got to be my favourite, until this house. You ladies have outdone yourselves with this home.
I wish yáll added a skylight to the kitchen feels like it needed more light. Not sure about the side tables on the bench. I don't know if practicality is all the way there when looking at this kitchen. But its pretty, its veeeeeeeeery nice to look at

I love it You guys are on it! talent One thing I would say is benches general,y I think look best with really heavy cushion mattresses as the lighter ones tend to curve up at edges
Oooh this is the first time y’all have done something that I truly don’t agree with. This family needed some kind of table top with the seating in the kitchen. It wouldn’t have been hard to add even a slim bar table with that bench. Switching out that floor mirror with a smaller one that hangs on the wall. And I wouldn’t be ecstatic going from having a laundry room to laundry in my kitchen. But it was beautifully done and I might be able to adapt lol.
I‘m so sorry, but this house is the first project that I don‘t like. This tone in tone grandma pink...tan...beige is just to much for me personally. And I would have been very nervous surprising a lesbian jeans and black T-Shirt couple with this 60s/70s Barbiehouse.
I get that you may not like/ agree with the colour palette, but how much of your assumption that the couple won't like it is based off their sexual orientation? Just because they dressed in darker colours for the interview doesn't make their taste inherently "masculine" nor do stereotypes about lesbian couples, I think there is a lot of merit in the fact that they chose TBR to renovate their home in verifying that their desired aesthetic for the home isn't too far off what Bon, Erin & Lana usually do.

Not sure how functional this kitchen is but it’s definitely beautiful. I would’ve added at least a 30” bistro table at the banquette and some type of pop-down table for the laundry
They are so cute! I love their friendship, u can see that they get along so well! 😋
"Looks like an airport lounge" - hmm cosy look for your lounge / diner / kitchen :-)
The stone
Luvvvvv that island in the kitchen !
Sigh, everytime I think I can’t possibly love you gals anymore- you go and drop another house ❤️
Lana is that friend who drags the others in lots of problems. I'm obsessed with that island counter ladies. Can't wait to take the look at the other rooms but don't want this to get over too.
So beautiful!
That island is absolutely gorgeous!
Wow!!! Amazing!!! Unique island! I love
Or they just didn’t know how or what to do with there house so just left it how it was when they bought it
Every plan I had for my apartment has just been thrown out of the window with this design.
But its pretty, its veeeeeeeeery nice to look at
So different so beautiful.
Fabulous...I would say I am pretty happy in my home, but then I watch one of your episodes and I am rethinking every design decision I have made ;) gorgeous, well done as always :)
Best part of a Monday!!!!
OMG its amazing. I didn't realize you guys were doing the entire house. That's so cool!!!!
Pure joy ❤️ yes Netflix show required x
Something to keep me sane each week during lockdown 😍
Stay safe, lovely xx
The island and the sink is EVERYTHING! It's my favourite kitchen you guys have made.
Thank you! 😘
My good, dream houve!! 🥰🥰🥰
I love it
You guys are on it! talent
One thing I would say is benches general,y I think look best with really heavy cushion mattresses as the lighter ones tend to curve up at edges
Did I see them put the new ceilings up without insulation?
I absolutely love what you do! What a beautiful space!!
omg in love with this kitchen!! the shapes
💯to everything you said
I‘m so sorry, but this house is the first project that I don‘t like. This tone in tone grandma pink...tan...beige is just to much for me personally. And I would have been very nervous surprising a lesbian jeans and black T-Shirt couple with this 60s/70s Barbiehouse.
couldn't agree more... doing this interior in a colonial cottage is purely an exercise in trends and devoid of any context.
@@thandiem.9357 at the beginning the showed what they wanted: the Instagram page with there classic look, all white and wood and light stone. There home was painted in a cool blue tone. And yes, I know a lot of lesbians and in my experience, in the finding of there identity thy tend to dislike girly stuff.
I want Bonnie to do my house! Love love love her, actually love them all. Please get a Netflix deal :)
wow !!!!! i can't wait to see their reactions !
I'm so early i can't even. Been looking forward to this for a week. Can't wait to see the rest of the house and the wedding! 😊
Wow I love your videos! Do you think you could add a product list in your description for the items you’ve used? Loving the sink and rangehood design and everything about this kitchen! Xx
All the details are on the Three Birds Renovation web page.
That cabinetry is absolutely stunning 💗💗💗
This kitchen is insane ladies!! 👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you 🙏🏻
Reno is great. As always.
And the music??? Oooh sweet. Love it.
Such a beautiful home, I LOVE the colour tones
Wow I LOVE THIS KITCHEN! so modern-70s!!!
I love it!! I love the bench seat and the shape of the cushions, I love the stone and the shape of the island 😍😍😍😍 it is soo pretty! But I think the island could have been wider
THAT IS AMAZING!
