Lisa Huber for sure the kids and mums were incredibly excited for us to change every single wall. They knew we’d change every surface and couldn’t have been more excited. Watch them come through the house in the next episode. It’s so nice xx
I noticed this even more when Lana was trying to get them to include a nook for the shampoos and stuff presenting the argument that it's very useful and Erin's response was just "they can just put it on the wall". Lana tells her it that that won't look good and she literally says she doesn't care. Like no care for the function. That did bother me.
@@lilafocil I AGREE. If that was my house id end up havin to purchase one of those ugly racks or put it in the floor, presenting a fall risk for kids or guests 🤦🏼♀️ first house of three birds that completely missed the point.
I'm really starting to wonder if they sat down with the owners and asked about their style and color choice or did they just let Boni run wild with the design. Sure it is a pretty house but for some reason I don't think it fits the family. I don't think they will go for the color choices.
That‘s what I was thinking as well. Seeing the colours that were used in the house before and especially now seeing the kids rooms with the paintings on the walls I‘m not sure the new designs will fit. But hey it might also be the case that everything that was done in the house before was absolutely not their style and the boys didn‘t like the paintings anymore 🤷♀️
I don't know about the family being unhappy. Looking at their previous projects you do know what you get when working with three birds. I would never employ them if I wanted masculine designs in my house.
@@PrincessDream93 True. I just don't dig how Bonnie keeps choosing things for the house because they haven't used them before. Not the way that they should be thinking, I feel they need to take into account what the family actually wants. I am sure they will love it though.
Oh most definitely. I think its because she is not classically trained in the area of interior design but rather works with her own sense of fashion (which in my opinion is a great one but i do agree that it might become repetitive for some)
Ahh, the more I watch this reno, the more sure I am I would never let anyone redo my house, without me being able to choose the design, even if it would be for free :)))) because yes the house is stunning, looks straight out of a magazine, but nothing they have chosen I would choose for myself... the individual pieces are just not what I like or consider functional...I would be living in a beautiful house, but it would never feel like it is my house...it would lack all the details and characteristics that I enjoy and love in a home.
I completely agree! I'd take inspo from videos like this, and try to make my own creative decisions in a way that's functional to me. But I'm so picky and very focused on practical. I'd happily forgo an unused space, even if it's beautiful, if I can put storage or something functional.
I’m literally 17 and I genuinely want that kids bedroom with the half-pipe built in bed. Honestly this house is so different to anything you’ve ever done but it’s stunning!
I'm still waiting for the reveal because every episode I watch for these house I feel there is a lack of consideration with the clients I hope I'm mistaken with the personality of the couple and the kids, and I have never have had this feeling with Three Birds Reno. I usually even use these videos as inspiration for my work as an architect.
I love the way these three take so much interest in every detail like it's their own home. They put in so much time and effort even in the small detail. They don't just brush away anything.
I loooove the build in bed and the whole aesthetic of the room! I’m just a bit sad bc the bed seems a bit short and they will probably have to take out the whole build-in in a couple of years
while I really like the look, I can’t help but wonder: how would you clean the shower in the main bathroom? 🤔 the soap and shampoo will just stick to the render. And then there‘s not even a hand-held shower head to spray/hose it down after showering to avoid product sticking. Plus I‘m a little hesitant on the open shower concept anyway, but I can‘t think of a more problematic place to use one than a kids‘ and guest bathroom, and right opposite of the sink, too. So the next person to use the sink will be standing in the puddles from the last person that showered 🙈 maybe I‘m missing something, but it just doesn‘t seem practical at all.
@@jenlawson8955 yes, that. And when they can‘t clean the render properly, it will develop a slimy surface and later mold. especially since most cleaning products probably can‘t be used on render without damaging it.
Additionally there was no place in this bathroom to store towels or dirty laundry. But plenty of space around the impractical bathtub to collect dust bunnies.
i am so in love with these bathrooms!! grout game is strong for sure!! it's giving me mediterranean vibes for some reason and im absolutely here for it

Every week there is a comment like this. So the catch to the Three Birds coming and Reno-img your house is you hand over the keys and all creative design to them. I’m sure there are things they say they definitely don’t want or need. But for the most part the three birds do what they want. The owners know this or they wouldn’t have entered the competition to get their homie revamped.
@@rubyredjeans it’s not functional for me- there is little seating in the kitchen, they took away the large sofa and put a smaller sofa in the living room, the master bathroom doesn’t have a door, the kids room design is cool until they are older and they’re sick of it, the bathroom needs some more storage. just because you can live in these rooms doesn’t mean it would be enjoyable to do so.

I for one would really dislike that because it’s so hard to change especially when kids grow up and want to change their rooms it s lot harder to do with built in beds.
Most people prefer a place to hold their showering necessities very close, so they can reach it while still under the running water. Definitely not thinking of function, more thought to aesthetics, they could've had both?? Too bad. Still like what they have done overall!
So much learned from Chaise's room. That mustard was so bold when the room was empty but it worked really well with all the furniture and styling. Kudos for the work on each room because they all turned out absolutely gorgeous!

Please advice if anyone knows!
I am currently building and I am loving the render! Question though- how does it hold up in a shower? I hate cleaning tiles in shower, would this be better? Thankyou 😊
We love that there are no joints and the micros-cement surface is smooth, so no dirt and soap deposits are collected xx
That’s awesome! :) now to convince my husband.. also big fan ladies! XX
Oh also is there any specific type of render I should use/ sealant? :)
