I still play with my vintage Adams Tight Lies Irons & have a lot fun with these ! I noticed that my Adams irons looked so much like Taylormade ! Glad to hear that Adams is making a comeback ! Thank you for sharing this awesome video ! Greetings from the Philippines !
I saw the potential in Adams clubs years back. I had the the CB2 irons in my bag for quite few years. Beautiful to look at and great feeling clubs. The hybrids were really where they excelled. I still have an adams LS driver in the my loft. Very underrated club manufacturer .
I still play the Adams XTD Forged irons and won’t be swapping them any time soon. Tried something else and came back to them. They cost me £200 two years ago.
As an Adams fan I still hit the hybrid iron set from 2014. Amazing cast clubs packed with tech. I recently bought the 2022 taylormade Adams release of the 3wood. It doesn't look like an Adams...And it doesn't look like a Taylormade at all. It's quite muted in it's appearance. But it's AWESOME! 16 degrees tri sole larger pulled back head. (Looks more like a mini flattened out driver) Nice Aldeela shaft. It is so straight and long. It doesn't have the flash of the 2023 version that looks more TM. But The club is sick. It outperforms my buddies Mavrick. The club head shape is super confidence inspiring. Paint job...boring. But whatever. I used to hit only a 5 wood (Callaway) ...But This Adams 2022- 3 wood has replaced it easily and might never make it out of my bag. Some youtubers will say not as long...I have not found that at all. Pure ball flight...great distance and huge forgiveness.
I bought a Adams driver in a charity shop for £4, I was intrigued by them from Stacked Golf and to be fair, it's a great driver.

Thank you sir. Huge Adams fan. I have had the Pro a12 forged, CB3 forged, and the idea 2014 and the XTD 2015 set. XTD-ti hybrids, fairways and driver and all 3 tight lies lines. The XTD driver was the only thing I dont still have around (gave to nephew). The Adams 9064LS still comes out once in a while and still not many drivers feel better than this and distance is the same. Waiting for the price to do down on the new adams. My favorite brand. You want a 5000 MOI driver for under $50 with a real prolaunch shaft, Look up the BUL5000. One of the most forgiving drivers of all time and still hangs with modern, 15 years later drivers.
I have CB1's, CB2's, CMB's, XTD Pro's, 3 driving DHY driving irons, numerous hybrids, 3 wood, 5 wood... LOOOOOVE Adams!
Forgot I also had a set of V3 hybrid irons as my first set of clubs, and they were 😍
I absolutely love Adam’s golf! There is nothing you can’t do with this brand. Had they not sell to Taylormade 10 years ago it would be scary to see what new tech they would have came up with. Adam’s was all about pushing the boundaries and trying new things until something stuck, like there tight lies, and their hybrids which are second to none in era. I own a7OS and a12OS full sets and will never get rid of them. I’ve tried other brands but nothing compares to Adam’s golf when it comes to forgiveness and ease of use, and not mention for 10+ years old the look more modern then some of the bigger brands clubs
Great clubs, I have put the CB2's back in the bag after playing the P790's probably the most forgiving Forged irons in left handed in the last 15 years (i should know I tried most!)
I still roll with the Adams Pro A12 irons with KBS C-Taper 120's. Have some CMBs in the box still. All 3-GW. Fantastic. Also still carry the Adams Pro DHy hybrid/utilities in 18, 21, 24, and 27 degrees. Just awesome stuff.

4-GW of those GOATs. Also got those Pro A12 irons I played this year. No A12 OS though. Adams Pro DHy's in 18, 21, 24, and 27. I think there's a 16 degree out there but never seen it.

6-GW in CMB's and 4-GW in the forged CB3's. Absolutely love them both. Also have the Adams Pro hybrids.
Just picked up CB3s in 5 to GW off ebay. Excited to have my 1st forged clubs that I can bend to spec and that have 4 degree loft gapping through the low end of the set. Paid $400 cdn for the set, all-in. If I don't like em, I can sell for a similar price.
Just received them and hit them today. Felt like mashed potatoes and way more forgiving than my PXG XCOR2 that I got fitted for last year. These are staying in the bag as soon as I get them bent 2-up and check lofts for accuracy and adjustment. Seller threw in the 4 iron as a bonus since it was knicked on the top. Felt like I stole these vs the price of new forged clubs. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO. I would not have ever considered these if you had not made a video about them.
I have a set of Adams Tight Lie irons and love them. I bought a 2 year old set of Tommy Armour irons and love them even more. They work. It's not how much a set of irons cost but how they feel that matters.
As a club fitter, I fitted a handful of beginners golfers into a full Adams bag set. Very forgiving with a great price point.
Some of the best irons I ever hit were Idea forged MBs. Felt like butter off the face and their hybrids are still my favorite to this day.
Recentyl bought a new (used but new for me) set of clubs and I went with adams for my hybrid and fairway wood (Tight lies 2 5 wood and dhy pro 4 hybrid), and I must say, they're ridiculously good clubs. I have no doubts that their irons would have also been phenomenal.
I still have Adams Xtd forged irons and hybrids in my bag. Beautiful looking and feeling clubs.
Not CMBs, but any series of the Adams A#OS series with the boxer hybrids were my favorites.
I played Adams to see how well a full set of hybrids could do for my game. I played great with them a 3-7 Idea a7os. I wound up buying a full set of Lazrus hybrids. I missed my irons. I recently switched to an older set of Adams v3. These can be had for a lot cheaper than new and if you search, you can find some in great condition.
Just found a set on eBay for $220. Grabbed them. Can’t wait to play them!!!
I am already an Adam’s fan. First set of clubs I ever bought were a used set of Adam’s GT2 Undercut.
Bought a xtdi hybrid head brand new off eBay £16, didn't have a clue about building clubs but got a shaft from Scottsdale Golf for a fiver which somehow fitted. Added a spare lamkin grip I had after regripping my wedges and a bit of glue and grit and have got a great little fairway finder. The tech and forgiveness in Adams fairway woods and hybrids was ahead of TM which is why they bought them and "incorporated" them into their clubs, very underrated clubs.
Does anyone knows if the Adams IDEA MB2s Raw KBS black nickel shaft are any good?

I loved Adams as a brand and the CB2 and CMBs where quite possibly the best irons i ever owned, such a shame.
Facts! SLDR is the longest, most forgiving and sexiest irons TaylorMade use to make! I would kill to have some in black. That said Simon knows how to keep people in suspense. Well done Sir

I have the persimmon woods 1, 3, 4, they went into my bag I think about 1983, they were great clubs, beautiful to look at, I still have them : )

I have a set of CB2s. So underrated. I have gone through a bunch of sets over the years, simply because I like doing that, and these are probably my favorite of all time. The only thing keeping me from hitting them now is the KBS Tour 90 shaft. I simply hit Modus 105s better.
Nice! I have a. mint set of CB2s that I have been hoarding. They are some of my favorite irons. Great looking and still keeps up with current irons.
I went out and got Cobra Speedzones irons and RadSpeed drivers/woods.
They have been pretty forgiving with an extra loft aswell.
Ive got 2 Adams sets ,,,The Idea A12 OS and The Idea Super S,,,since the Super S i have upgraded twice ,Titleist AP2 and Cobra F9...2023 and the Super S are back in the bag.
I recently put together a budget set of clubs for my nephew, and got a great deal on some Adam's Idea Tech A4 Forged irons and a 2013 Adams 16-degree Tight Lies fairway wood. I tested the irons out before giving them to my nephew, and to tell you the truth, I think I prefer them over my 2020 Cobra forged Tec irons.
Love the fact you champion these niche brands. Got into Adams Tightlies fairway woods a few years ago thanks to you and loved them.
I had a set of Super S irons up until a couple of years ago. Actually wish I kept them! 😢
My SW is a 56* Adams Idea Hybrid- $$ from 90yds in. Love it love it love it.
Got a set of the STD cavity backs never got on with them . Only used 6 times. However the hybrids and fairways are still in my my bag
Adams are great a couple of my best rounds were with their A1 pro combo set. I've only been playing 2 years and the muscle back blades in the set were still forgiving enough to help me break 90 the first couple times
My go to club is still the same Adams A7OS 5 hybrid that i bought for $35CAD 10 years ago. My son pays a set of Adams A2OS, very easy to hit!
I used to have adams cb3 black irons. Loved them but lost the 5 iron and broke the 6 swinging in the garden lol. Still rocking their 4h though.
The most underated irons in th epast 2 decades just came out this year. If you can add .5" length and strengthen loft to 2 degrees strong, im telling you, the Taylormade HD irons are not only rockets off the face now, but the forgiveness is the widest across the face of all time. PS, I'm a 7/8 handicap and i can fade and draw these fine too!!
Two corrections.
The last full set of Adams clubs were 2015, not 2012.
Those were Adams/TM first attempt at what they said they wanted to do with Adams being focused on beginners. Those were the Adams Blue set.
After that TM mothballed Adams.
And in 2022 the released a set of Tight Lies woods and hybrids, different from rhe 2020 model you showed.
What I was thinking too. I saw the blue set was 2015 and I have a set of the 2014’s the silver velocity slot and the older V3’s
I just bought some Adams, CCI Black irons in the smoke finish 3-G from a guy named Bobby Wilson for $125! When I met up with him, I didn’t really know who he was and I shook his hand and told him my full name and he told me the pitching wedge had been lost so we had to replace it with a CB2 pitching wedge, but when you look down and see project x 7.5 it can start a conversation… apparently it’s Bobby Wilson, the long, drive icon!
Always loved Adams Drivers and Fairways and Wilson Irons. Remember seeing them in a golf shop about 10 years ago beside Taylormade and thought wow these both have the same improvement idea.... never knew until recently they had bought them over. Pity as great clubs.
Adams had some of the best fairway woods back in the day, white heads, top and bottom slots they were amazing off the tee and fairway.

I have a set of Adam's idea forged black cb2 irons that are some of the best irons I have ever hit ....so good that even though I got gifted a set of mizuno mp5s about 5 years ago ....I still have the cb2s and they aren't going anywhere ....they are like having a safety blanket ....things go south with my mizunos I know my old trusty cb2s are there and ready go back in the bag .....I do wish they hadn't got bought out by Taylormade .....as you say on your side of the pond .....Adam's made some very solid kit .... and let's not forget they made some hybrids that were some of the best ever made ....little peanut a lot people called them and I am sure they are still in a lot of peoples bags. And they have to be 10 /15 years old now ..
New who you were talking about as you started. My clubs are all callaway now but for my Adams 4,5&6 hybrid. I wouldn’t be without them and the new Taylormade hybrids look like Adams!
Barney Adams is behind BGT Shaft design ..Breakrthrough Golf technology.. awesome shafts, The Brava shaft in my Driver is very good, like Graphite Design...
im still using my cb3 irons (original adams) and a12 Hybrid to this day. wont use anything else. excited about the new driver and 3 wood so i can have a complete adams set. also have the jetspeed taylormade with cavity slot after they brought adams.
in the 13 years ive being playing adams i havent come across anyone with there clubs ing bag (Australia) strange because there such good clubs
I use an Adams A7 19 deg hybrid with the Axivcore 85 HY shaft cut down to 39" in playing length. It's a missile hybrid.
I had the 5 wood in the bag. Great for a beginner golfer.
I play a set of Adams Idea techs every time I play on the course or my simulator. I have tested against new stuff and not enough gains to get in my billfold, LOL But I would love to try them and see if they can hang now?
The Adams CMB irons were the best irons I ever had. The issue is that they no longer show up on the USGA conforming list.
I have several adams in my bag st my sisters in California. Adams speedfast 12 driver adams speedline ls 3 wood adams speeline 11 5 wood. Adams pro 19 and 23 hybrids. Cleveland ta5 gunmetal irons solus 51 and 56 wedges. Adams speedline putter with a cool adams cart bag. I have total of about 400 into it and they all play great. My friends hate losing to me with these clubs
I had an Adam's hybrid pro model that thing went miles . As far as taylormade the only club I have of theirs is a 5 wood the rest of my set is Titleist and Mizuno
I have a set of adams idea cmb forged irons. While I’m not good enough to play them correctly they are really cool and beautiful. I could see them being valuable in the future
My bag is all Taylormade except for my Adams Idea hybrid, very reliable and has gotten me out of bad situations countless times i cant get rid of it.
They should relaunch the 9032 driver but with an adjustable hossel. It boggles the mind as to why they didn't keep that design. I've been using their irons for a long time but with a Callaway XR16 driver which is similar to the 9032.
I bought a set of 2014 Adams XTD forged for $150 this week. I go 4H through P in it.
Got both the a12 pro and xtd forged each for $150USD really loving the a12s

I had a Tight Lies fairway wood for years. Was really solid.
I am thinking about buying these used, I currently have the Wilsion Staffs Di11. The lofts are similar with the Wilsons actually slightly stronger. Is it worth the trade or should I stick with what I have?
I’ve still got a later model Tight Lies wood and Redline hybrids in the bag.

I play With Adams Golf Club and they are one of the best for giving golf clubs ever.. TaylorMade stole their technology lost in court and then bought out Adams.. Adams clubs was on the way to greatness.
Played the CB3’s for years, loved them!
I found an Adams driver in a thrift store for $15 (2012 model, I believe) and I hit it better than anything else I have tried since including current drivers in stores

Just about 23 or 24 years ago, I bought my first set of irons. I believe it was the first year that Adam’s introduced their first sets of irons, the GT and GT Tour. I have the Tour model still in my basement…and yes they have the True Temper “multi material shaft.” Both steel and graphite in the same shaft.
Recently picked up a set of TightLies CB irons with shafts that had no shaft band/ID stickers on them. I think they're the TrueTemper mm shafts. Set is only 5i-PW, the graphite ends (toward the clubhead) are longer in the 5iron and progress shorter thru the set down to the PW.
@@bobsofia68 That’s them for sure. I was always waiting for them to break. I just never thought that they would hold up, but low and behold… They were probably more of a marketing gimmick at the time, but I’ve always thought they felt a little different than anything that was out at the time. The graphite dampened some of the vibration as far as I could tell while still providing some feedback.
@@scottmcguire1774 I've only hit the 5i & 8i at the range off of mats. Going to have take them to the local Par3 for a round to see how I like them. I know they won't unseat my gamers, 2016 M2 irons, but I've got a few older iron sets I like to take out once in a while for fun.
is this set the 0.25 shorter ones on Replay right now for 199? tempting but i normally play standard length (not fitted though) i'm 5ft 10.... is that ok?
This is why I ban taylormade to this day. taylormade buying Adams and then shelving them and using all the good patents that they tried to steal put me off them for life. I got the CB2's myself 4-GW this year for $230 AUD delivered from Ebay, I feel i stole them somewhat. Keep up the great videos :)

I picked up some adams XTD forged last November. They were my first real set, got em for 200 shipped.
I’m not good, at all (maybe a 10hdc now?). But man are they nice. My only complaint is the xtd forged is more of a blade… did not realize that when I got em. But they are light years ahead of the beginner strata’s I had. It’s not even close.
I can’t tell you how lucky I feel that I got them for the price I did. By far the nicest iron I’ve ever hit. I like them so much that I even bought replacement iomic grips to replace the ones they came with from the factory. I actually paid more for the grips than I did for the clubs (before shipping).
Hollow face, speed slot or whatever they call it, chrome, tungsten weighting, c taper shafts and iomic grips.
My only complaint is that they look kind of goofy. They weren’t hideous like the normal xtd, but they have like 3 raw steel colored square things on the back. It’s unique, for sure. But I’ll probably play these until they either I can’t play anymore or until they basically fall apart. Love the adams.

I still game a set of CMBs (4-PW) and have a 5-PW set of their old A4 Forged. I also have a Speedline 3W and a variety of their hybrids (game improvement through their tour level). Disgusted me what TaylorMade did to Adam’s. Bought them, stole their tech and patents and then threw them aside. To this day I do not and will not own a single piece of TaylorMade equipment.

I have always liked Adams irons. They seemed to lack big PGA endorsements which takes fortunes. Regardless their irons were very good. Marketing is a funny animal.
Adams actually had “tech” when it made for better clubs instead of just better marketing
