Ok. I think I will have to explain this myself. Let's start from the beginning. The X-01 was a prewar prototype developed in the Withespring bunker before the Great War. After the bombs fell, Modus sended the blueprints to the Poseidon Oil Rig. Decades later, the Enclave started to improve this power armor, manufacturing the Advanced Power Armor MKI (APA MKI). By the time when Fallout 2 tooks place, the Enclave had developed not only the APA MKI, but its successor: the APA MKII. The APA MKII was used by several soldiers of the Enclave around 2242. For example, Sg. Arch Dornan. It can also be found at the Poseidon Oil Rig. What happened when Bethesda released Fallout 3? They changed the style of the APA MKII. Now, the canon APA MKII looks like the "Enclave Power Armor". Now, pay attention: In Fallout 2, you can clearly see that the APA MKII is better in every single way than the APA MKI. So try to do as if all the statistics of the power armor in Fallout 3 had never existed. This is because what Bethesda did with the power armor in Fallout 3 was the biggest disaster of all the lore of Fallout series. Several decades after the release of the APA MKII, the Enclave developed the Hellfire Power Armor, which could be called "APA MKIII". Something really important is that Lonesome Roads refers to this power armor as "Prototype X-03". To finish this, I will make some points: The X-01 is not the APA MKI, but the prototype used to make it. The X-02 has never existed, but would be a very good name to refer to the APA MKII. This armor is better than the APA MKII in all ways (ignore Fallout 3, please). To confirm this, read the lab terminals of the Citadel. They say that the Enclave soldiers look almost the same as the ones seen in 2242 at the west coast. Also, you can read a tactical evaluation of Enclave forces, which says "Armor: Advanced Power Armor MKII", meaning that is the same that you can find at the Poseidon Oil Rig, the same that Dornan uses. The Hellfire Power Armor is, actually, the sole model of Enclave power armor that is really called "X-03", and you could call it "Advanced Power Armor MKIII", if you want. Hope that this helps you.

I don't like the Fallout 4 adaptations of X0-2. It doesn't look like it has the same polish and re-design of X0-1. It looks like they just, kind of took fallout 3's existing one and stapled it over the frame without really re-designing it for 4.
It's actually pretty funny because I used to have an opinion that power armor in Fallout 3/NV is too skinny and in F4/76 it is far more too bulky and the most amazingly fitting into setting vibe so far was made in New Vegas by modders developing this aspect of the game (including more hardass/heavy movement animations to it). No its not. Im getting sick of this sh*t. APA is X01. Bethesda has completely bastardized the setting of Fallout. They did that to confuse people and it seems to have worked. Not on me. They can F themselves. X01 is APA, and its POST WAR FFS.
I think it's funny how much the fallout 4 power armor version of the enclave is better than the other ones from previous ones.
Any in world reason why these armors look different across the games? Is it an East Coast vs West Coast thing?
Older system limitations
I know that the hellfire armor in fallout 4 is meant for large flamethrowers but I decided to make it a stealth suit with the stealth boy torso upgrade and put red lights
Why is fo3 and fonv power armor so skinny
They need to add tesla armor to 76 or FO5.
you actually missed the enclave power armor thats in new vegas, you need console commands to get it, but it exists
I wouldn't count stuff that's unobtainable.
@@hermos3602 it's fully modeled and animated and not bugged at all. and it's a different model than 3 or 4 or 76 so it should be included
@@Winfury-thunderfuryAs far as i know, this armor looks exactly like F3 version.
X02 top
I don't think APA Mk1 is X-01, X-01 is a prototype and I think APA Mk1 is based on it.
look at the fallout 4 loading screen x01 is apa theres
@@stocky_ no, x-01 is pre war, APA is post war developed by the Enclave.
@@KeVJaZ_yet they are still the same thing, like it or not. One is the simple term while one is the formal term.
@@KristopherPrime no, X-01 is a pre war prototype, APA is post war developed by the Enclave.
@@KristopherPrime no they're not get your facts right
okay... why does some power armor in some games look so damn skinny???
I think it was engine limitations
Anybody get reminded of like a jaguar or something with the helmet on the hellfire. Also you could’ve added Tesla stuff and enclave paint to the xo 1 from fo4
I always think of a dog when i see the hellfire helmet lmao
How do I get tesla power armor in fallout 4?
Fallout 3 & NVs power armor designs are objectively lazy. all the lore is right there, and they still look like a cosplay outfit.
Being a comically obese robot isn’t very intimidating, nor is it practical.
@@randomvideas4306 all the lore confirms that power armor is a huge bulky peice of war equipment with several issues & it's not perfect. The whole point of the armor is so American troops could carry weapons meant for tanks and light vehicles into battle against the Chinese. It's more like a peice of heavy lifting equipment, a wearable vehicle. Respect + love to you anyway bro.
@@jokujoeEvery Fallout game before 4 depicts Power Armor as heroic and muscular, not obese. Even 1 and 2, when you look closely, show PA as a moderately sized suit. You can be bulky whilst not being fat and being a big target. Additionally, the hand-to-eye coordination with the mechanical hands must be a pain, I mean other than carrying heavy weapons the suit depicted in 4 lacks versatility. When in war, you must be able to complete a variety of tasks quickly without having to exist and enter your armor.
@@randomvideas4306 i absolutely agree bro just saying imo makes no sense that in F3 and NV they look like normal costumes They dont change your height or anything, Like they dont even look like armor, it looks really bad, in my opinion. if you like them that's fine!
@@randomvideas4306by your logic tanks arent intimidating at all
Fallout 3 and New Vegas power armors are an abomination, simple as that. In Fallout 4 they finally captured the look and bulkiness from Fallout 1 and 2.
X01 is my favorite, especially in 4 just because you feel like a tank
For those who dont know X01 is not APA, the older games used advanced power armor which was enclave produced armor, fallout 3s is different that 2 and new vegases because it is made in the east with cheaper resources, 2 and nvs were made on the enclave oil rig off the coast of california within the inbuilt factories upon the poseidon oil rig which was designed as a vast improvement to the X01 power armor and looked COMPLETELY different, snd the creation club x02 is not actually lore accurate as it is actuslly ravenrock Mk2 apa, aswell as x03 being adams afb hellfire power armor, i hope this lets you learn the differences.
x-01 and apa have the same design look at fallout 4s loading screen "The X-01 series of Power Armor was specially engineered and employed by remnants of the U.S. military after the Great War, and offers increased protection over the older, pre-war models." bethesda just messed up lore with nuka world yes x01 looks different than advanced power armor in fallout 2 but the t-51 also looks different than in fallout 1 its just a different art style
Bro that’s autistic. Armor looks different because it’s better graphics and art direction
@@stocky_ It pisses me off how stupid people have become. X01 IS APA, Post War Enclave Power Armor.
where is fo76?
I don't like the Fallout 4 adaptations of X0-2. It doesn't look like it has the same polish and re-design of X0-1. It looks like they just, kind of took fallout 3's existing one and stapled it over the frame without really re-designing it for 4.
It was made by a modder and bestheda just decided to include thier work in the base game afterwards, that's why it doesn't look as good as the others
Agreed. There’s a really good mod that adds in a far better looking X-02 into the game. The 76 model for the X-02 is also a lot better
I hope they'll (anyone who's taking control over the ip) downgrade the scale of this armor in the future.
X-01 my favorite power armor❤👍
The X-01>>>>>>> Over the X-O2 imo, would've rather they just kept that, though I do appreciate the Hellfire power armor too.
X01 in NV:🐝 X01 in FO4:🦾👹🦾
stop confusing APA with X-01.
Stop confusing them for separate things. X-01 and APA are canonically one and the same.
@@KristopherPrimeX-01 was developed pre-war, APA was developed by the Enclave after the bombs had dropped, APA is just a slight upgrade
@@Angelcat710 I am well aware the APA is the X-01 upgraded post-war.
@@Angelcat710 x-01 holds the special distinction of being both pre-war and post-war. It was prototyped before the war, but upgraded by the enclave after. This detail is reinforced by the APA mk 2. In fallout 2, it was a modified version of the mark 1, until the Eastern Enclave finalized its design by fallout 3, creating the X-02 and later X-03 (aka Hellfire).
@@KristopherPrime NO. Thats Bethesda's stupidity that tried to pass it off. X01 IS STILL APA, aka ENCLAVE POWER ARMOR. people giving Bethesda a pass for really f*CKING IT UP. Its POSE WAR. ffs.
X-01 from fallout 4 is not Enclave Power Armor
Well it can be if you paint it
Advanced Power Armor is not X-01, buddy. X-01 is a pre-war prototype model, Advanced Power Armor is a development of that.
The X-02 Tesla in F4 is a mod right!
It’s in the new update
@@Average_Enclave_Soldier where can I found it?
New Vegas is the best IMO
I feel like the APA MK1/X01 and Hellfire look better on the Fallout 4 frame and the APA MK2 and Tesla Armor look best in Fallout 3, like its design was for a smaller body.
Every other game: power armor(?)
Fallout 4: POWER ARMOR!
X01 isn't remnants power armor... X01 is the prototype of remnants power armor, and the fallout 2 power armor is actually called APA Mk1 or Advanced power armor mk1.
The base model is the X-01 just that it was improved and called differently
Fallout 4 have the best power armors
The X-02 looks so dumb in fallout 4 lol
Your personal opinion but I think it looks great
@@Thomas-nt2nq The head is tiny when the rest of the armor is giant and the paint and eyes are off
FNV actually has X02 n hellfire if I’m not wrong
Leftover assets from FO3
They aren’t obtainable in game, they can only be accessed with console commands
Only FO4's PWs look like real power armors, the rest look like cheap cosplays.
The only question remains, why characters handling rifles with two hands when they can just handle in one hand
Ну, не сказал бы что прицеливаться винтовкой одной рукой это удобно
They do use wooden boards and sledgehammers with one hand at least.
the Bethesda so bad nowadays if they only would upgrade quality of added modded itms in game just like tesla canon have better texture of lightning or tesla bulbs on shoulders of x-02 would have electric arc it would be such sick (like in new vegas have this sort of arc). But they only just make mods with "mods quality" of texture in game....
I know it’s similar to Fallout 4, but no Fallout 76?
They still think its a trash game
You need real money for buying that armor there, so no. Or probably can use other people footage
@@vlexonkol8466 Yes and No, atoms in Fallout 76 can be earned by completing challenges and also progressing through the season board. It’s the longer way to do it but that involves no spending of real money
Fo3, and NV power armors look like garbage, and dont capture the feelings of bulk and power the first 2 games had for them, but was recaptured in F4.
That being said the power armors in FO76 are way better.
The fact that enclave power armor in FO3 and FNV are just like wearing normal armor
Thats the only reason why FO4 has best power armor design despite being bad weapon design
They shodu increase a litlel bit the amount of time from the fisión cores and it woudl be perfect, whit the perk fusión boy it can last like 30 minuts that shoud be the standar
@@ROLITO-G-243 I find the game would be too easy if they spoon fed power armor to be useable 24/7 and thats coming from a survival difficulty player. Plus dont forget on top of the fusion boy perk there is also the bobblehead which increases fusion core duration by another 10%
New Vegas Enclave armour is my favourite you can get 5 sets of power armour if you betray the Remaments! You can glitch the game to! To get all the followers you want and have a team of 6 Enclave going around new Vegas! I've already done it! But takes awhile!!
X-01 and Fallout 2 and New Vegas armors aren't the same. X-01 was pre-war, while APA is an improved Power Armor made after the war
You should check out some Fallout 76 enclave power armor, you might be impressed!
The Enclave power armor mark 2 is always be my favorite🔥🔥
East Coast Enclave my beloved
turn on the comments on the Starfield and Skyrim comparison
X0 2 is in fallout 2 also btw but it just refuses x0 1 sprites
It is known fact that there was NO X-02 or X-03 (hellfire) power armors in fallout 4. They were as unnoficial mods and were added with a recent patch.
So for me there is still NO official good-looking "modern" enclave power armor.
They were official mods you could buy through the creation club and no they were not added to the games by a recent patch. I have no idea who told you that but it’s definitely not a known fact
Doesn't the Echoes of the Past update make them basically canon in Fallout 4 tho considering it technically officiates the content?
@@My_Most_Honest_Reaction For me F3 and F4 are out of canon. New Vegas is a true 3rd Fallout. F4 offers nice gameplay concept of power armor, but it conflicts lore.

That’s Advanced Power Armor mk1
I hate how skinny the armor is in nv and 3. But in 4 the designs are so peak

New Vegas power armor for the win
Xo1 in fo4 looks so nasty idc why it just bothers me
The X-02 looks bad, lame. The mod that existed already was a perfect adaptation.
The fact is Todd Howard would've never added if Obsidian didn't aknowledge Enclave's power armor existence in Fallout 2.
I don't get why people just assume they know what Todd Howard is thinking? I guess he lives rent free in your head if people keep making petty comments like this.

F4 X02 doesn't look that good. Mods did that armour justice.
Unoctium one x02 frigging dope... It has the cyro upgrade.
Yeah the mods for X-02 make it look INSANELY scary. Def worthy of being beyond the APA
unoctium, newermind's recreation from 76, cipher arguably having the best one of them
however the one in the game is incredibly nice as well
Controversial opinion fallout 3 looks the best.
New Vegas’s armors look too top heavy and 4’s look massive, like bro we’re normal people not frank Horagan
3 and newegas power armour sucks it’s too skinny and is just a normal suit
Fallout 4 def got some thicc boys
Still, TOTNW is the best.
The X-02 power armor with a T-45 helmet looked amazing in Fallout 3 and Fallout 4.

I must admit Fallout 3/New Vegas power armour sucks they just don't have the bulk or weight of what powered armour really is.
This really reminds me how everything in Fallout 4 looks like plastic. Why did they design everything to look like a 3D printed kids toy? Nuka dark rum looking ahh 💀
there's no x02 in Fallout 4, it can be added with mod only.
It was added with "Next gen" update, and quests too
the new update adds the armor.
They're part of next gen update. The Hellfire design from 4 was also used for 76, so it's fully canon
