This is an important skill all nail techs need👍👍👍 Tips will not give the same result as sculpted nails. With regard to your tutorial, i would personally use a clear acrylic base and encapsulate the coloured acrylic in clear, 3 reasons:
1- to save wasting the coloured powder when you file off excess which 99.9% of us need to do.
2/encapsulated glitter gives extra depth, a 3D appearance.
3/When the client wants a design change, you remove the coloured acrylic only, leaving a clear platform to begin the new acrylic design. WIN/WIN!!

I'm so confused I thought the dehydrator went on and then the primer is it the other way around just for using nail forms or is that how it's always supposed to be

Look, I just got my first acrylic set for free and I hardly ever get my nails done, and the only reason I went online at all is top figure out what the stickers were for. That's where you came in. Not only did you completely answer my question about the sticker that you informed me were for form nails, but you also educated me so much about the different types of tips/ nails. meeeee lol I just bought literally everything a nail salon needs and has and it came with colored powder and I'm like what is this? so I found out...and then it has these stickers...I'm like ok what do I do with this lol...I am 45 and not interested in any type of coffin lol...but it was so incredibly fast, I'm gonna try this form thing...I bought every single thing you would find plus more in a nail salon, all professional-grade, even the electric drill cuz I wanna do my toes too lol...I have an arsenal of products and things and it's cool but IDK how to do most...but I'm about to learn lol cuz it saves me $45 every 2 weeks or whatever and I can do it myself and not go anywhere! good luck!!

This is just beautiful and you make it look sooo easy! I’m a cosmetologist who turned RN, I don’t take care of my nails, but I want to. Nurses are not supposed to wear fake nails. However, I love this technique, I’ve heard that if one breaks is not as painful as when you have tips. I’ve never done nails, I did hair cuts. Do you do your own nails? I’d love to be able to do my own. Any other tips? I just came across your video and love it! 🥰🥰 Thank you for sharing.

I prefer forms, but the client prefers to be cheap so tips it is 👍
lenabobena Where I live, I don’t even get a choice. They ALL use tips unless they’re making a gel nail. But for acrylic they ALL use tips and then when taking it off they file the living shit out of my natural nail until it’s flat as a pancake.
How do you stick the tips to the nails?
lenabobena I WISH people in my area would use forms. I don’t even get a choice, and I like my nails long so when they use the tips it’s so curved.

If you place a thin layer of clear acrylic over glitter colors, it won’t turn the glitter silver as you file ✨
