Keep the aspidistra flying♡
I recently inherited all the houseplants my grandma had and I think I have one of these. Pretty sure all these plants are at least 40 years old lol.
Amazing. I hope you treasure that, and share the story when you share cuttings.
How's it all going?
Love this plant! I bought one as an outdoor plant, but I knew I could grow it inside. It's in a ten inch pot and over a decade old, has taken whatever I can throw at it. Seems to let its older leaves die all at once, and usually as it's putting on new growth. I find wiping the leaves down to be so satisfying.
I also have a 'Milky Way' variety with spotted leaves, which I believe was shown during the start of the video.
Yes! That is the Milky Way variety shown in the video. And I agree, cleaning the leaves is very satisfying 😌
Oddly enough I think my great grandma and grandma had these. I remember them wiping off leafs of a plant like this
It’s likely! They do get very dusty 😂
A really useful & informative video👍 One issue not addressed that is plaguing my 18 year old Aspidistra is that the new leaves are small-very small. Some don't even have stems , they just shoot straight out of the soil. The plant seems very healthy otherwise. Any ideas would be very welcome.
Mine gets brown tips. I use rain water or dehumidifier water. I have it below a high window facing west shaded by trees.
I just inherited one that is over 60 years old.
Wow, that’s old
Looks like a Peace Lily. Never heard of these
You look 5 years younger, what’s your secret 😁
Wish I knew! 🤷♀️😂
