It’s that all too familiar feeling of anxiety, overwhelm, and panic that all new copywriters feel at the beginning of their freelancing journey…
Wait, how the hell am I actually going to find clients that want to GIVE ME MONEY?
    Ring a bell?
If it does - then you’re definitely not the only one!
My DMs and inbox are constantly full of people asking me for tips and advice on finding their first client...
And even though I started my freelance journey over 10 years ago… I can still remember the sense of panic I felt wondering how I would make rent for the month without any income!
But like I said… that was 10 years ago!
So when the global Posse reaches out and asks me for advice…
While I can and will give you the advice I followed for myself… 10 years ago.
I realize that it might not be super relevant to current best practices and techniques.
    So I thought…
What if I could give you real-time advice from people who are actually in your shoes, and out there searching, vetting, and landing clients as we speak...
So I turned to my very own rad grads from Season 2 of my LIVE 8-week copywriting coaching program, The Copy Posse Launch Pad.
And in today’s video, I’m going to share 9 personal stories directly from them, so you can hear EXACTLY how they got their very first client…
What I love about this video, is that it’s literal PROOF that there’s not one singular strategy that works when it comes to getting clients…
Something different worked for every single one of these students you're about to meet…
And - newsflash - none of them involve cold outreach!!

Thank you. This was exactly what I was looking for. I appreciate the affirmation that there is less of a necessity for original posting on LinkedIn. I just want to write copy and have so little motivation to pursue social media, but I'm accepting the value of utilizing a platform like this.

Hi Alex! Completely unrelated question, but how do you put landing pages in your portfolio? Does it include just the text of the landing page, or the actual mockup of the sales page/website? Thank youu 💯✨

Thank you for this video, Alex! Though there are several strategies to get a first client, I notice it all comes down to shaking off the fear of putting yourself out there. What’s the worst thing that could happen? Some potential clients might say “no” (and politely, I may add), yet all of them now know you’re ready to offer your copywriting services and can even refer you. Kudos to these students!
