    I took this vehicle for a test drive the other day, what a value. The Lyriq is the quietest ev I drove and fun to drive. My only complaint is the leg room. I'm 6'1", and my right knee hits the center console, making it uncomfortable. My id.4 is perfect inside, but I want something more luxurious, and this might be the one.

      @HoodSlappersOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It’s nice to hear from people who are already in the EV game and who are taller. Those are two points of view where we miss the mark.
      The LYRIQ is a great vehicle indeed. What’s mind blowing is that this is Cadillacs first EV. They tabled expectations and have us excited for their EV future.
      Thanks for watching.

    Great review ..The massage seats and lumbar support and luxury interiors may tempt me to choose this over a model Y…Not sure what the model Y has over this model besides network ?

    • @HoodSlappersOfficial
      @HoodSlappersOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the comment. The network is the absolute best, and the power is impressive, but other than that, Cadillac is the better of the two. However, they both require you to go into your screen to use the glovebox.
      Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.

      Besides the charging network there's also a significant difference in charging speed.
      Tom at State of Charge did some testing. The Lyriq range is good. 330 mi. at 70 mph. But the charging is not as good. 40 minutes from 20% to 80%.
      He loves the car, but the DC charging speed is the weak spot. It wouldn't be a bad road tripper, but not a great one either. But that would depend on your needs.

    I would agree but you forgot to mention the 2024 Cadillac lyriq just went up in price …big time …The tech entry level has no massage seats /digital head display ..Luxury level 1 has no massage seats and speakers in seats and that costs 77k …U need to be in luxury 3 to get that ..For that money a bmw Ix and Audi etron is where I would go

    I guess I was expecting more of 22nd Century version of the Citroen DS.
    No modern Cadillac has a suspension that can compete with the smoothness of a 1955 Citroen hydroneumatic suspension on the highway, not even the 77 Eldorado!

    • @HoodSlappersOfficial
      @HoodSlappersOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว

      Wait, do you own a 55 Citroen, and if you do can we review it? :)

      @@HoodSlappersOfficial
      Sadly, I do not own one. A neighbor of my grandad has one in Houston. The first time I rode in it, I was absolutely stunned at how smooth it was.
      As amazing as a 60yo Citroen is, I assume it’s even more expensive than anything from British Leyland, to keep running.
      (Dad had an MGB and the horror stories he’s told we’re just incredible.)
      “So your floorboard fell out when you were on the freeway?!?!?!”
      - “Yes; but it wasn’t the same freeway where I lost the driveshaft, OR, where the roof flew off after the last remaining clasp gave way…”

      Oh man, we don't envy you in any way. It is such a tough call right now. We loved the Lyriq but we understand where you are coming from. Nobody has the perfect EV right now, but some are better than others. Maybe hold off another year and see where the LYRIQ goes. You could also purchase a Honda PROLOGUE. That will basically be a Lyriq. :)

    • @HoodSlappersOfficial
      @HoodSlappersOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      2024 will be the year of production for the LYRIQ. They are just around the corner too. The price we quoted was for the two wheel drive, so it will be significantly cheaper to those luxury EV SUVs who’s entry level only offers all wheel drive.
      We will see what 2024 brings. Cadillac might make a grandpa out of you soon enough. But what a classy grandpa you would be. :)
