The regenerative brakes work well but at higher driving speeds they glaze and smoke. Not cooled well? #4 I got a cargo cover but not a cargo net. I had to buy it. WHY? Some people don't get either. All in all, I've owned the STS, SRX, XT5 and now the Lyriq. This is easily the best car Cadillac's ever made and a great first-EV attempt. The interior styling, comfort, ride quality, quietness and technology is close to perfect - especially at a sub $80,000 price. It's unfortunate however that they didn't take it further. Offering free charging on EVgo is part of the problem. EVgo sucks. They are trying to improve it but improvement is slow. GM just got a government loan of $1 Billion to build more chargers. When I first got my Lyriq, I had to drive 10 miles to the nearest EVgo charger. Jan 2024, there wasn't a huge number of cars competing for the 2 chargers in Massapequa NY. I had to race to get there in the mid-day to charge and that usually took up to 2 hours. In May, a new EVgo charger opened up nearer to my home - 5 miles away - in Westbury. Made it soooo much easier to charge, but they only gave us 3 chargers capable of handling two cars apiece. Suddenly I started seeing lots of Ultium models, and other models showing up. I typically am able to charge within 1 hour and 30 minutes. More recently, Tesla unlocked superchargers to GM cars. I got the Lectron Vortec adapter from NACS to CCS. My range anxiety is gone. I could drive cross country if I want. The problem, however is that the only chargers that work are the ones that show up on the app or have a magicdock to connect to CCS cars. In time that will be fixed. Charging at home on Level 2 charging takes no more than 7 hours overnight. I love my Lyriq. The only other car I'd have bought was a Mercedes S-class S500, but that would have cost way more.
Thanks for you feedback. I might be picking up the Lyric this weekend. they are offering $1500 credit toward the cost of installing Level 2 home charging or 2 yrs of free EVgo Public charging. What do you recommend?
@@chimera786 Buy your own charger: maybe $500 or less. Have an electrician install it. Their installers tend to be finicky and you can’t choose your own charger brand. Keep in mind: you really just need a NEMA 14-50 outlet with a waterproof box installed on the house. Once you get that, you can use any waterproof portable charger or have any home charger connected to it. Cadillac gives you a portable charger that is capable of charging on 110v or 240v. Check your maps to see how close you are to EVgo charging. Mine is 4 miles away. If you have EVgo nearby, taking the charging credits saves you around $5000 over two years. You drive and charge for FREE. I have both EVgo charging for 2 years and my own home Lectron Vbox charger. I will go recharge tonight in fact.
Never buy a vehicle in its first two years of production. Always wait for the manufacturer to iron out the glitches and then check Consumer Reports annual auto issue to review every area of the model to see what aspects of the car has issues
I think your review of the Lyriq was excellent! I have the 2024 Acura ZDX A-Spec AWD and I absolutely love it. The driving experience is a game changer. I live in an apartment in NYC. I charge my car just around the corner at an indoor garage open 24/7 with security. I can plug my car in and go about my day. My Acura app shows me that my car is charging. I can program my car to charge to any amount and it will stop charging when it reaches that charge. I can also see how much my battery charge is on the app, which also tells me what time the car will finish charging. When my vehicle was down to 33%, I charged it to 80%, and the cost was $21. My ZDX is quiet and quick with 490 hp, and 437lbs or torque. The car has an awesome 18 speaker Bang and Olufsen sound system, panoramic roof, ambient lighting, Apple Car Play, Google Maps and Waze built into the infotainment center. The car is spacious and the very responsive! I don’t think I will ever go back to a gasoline vehicle
Very good, very informative video, Michael. I am now driving my 2024 Cadillac Lyriq Sport 3 for 8 months (since Mar. 2024) and I absolutely am in love with this vehicle. Before this, I drove 2 Tesla S vehicles for 6 years (3 each) and as much as I loved the S -- my Lyriq Sport 3 is the kind of luxury AND technology we deserve. Hands down more enjoyable than my 2017 and 2021 Tesla S cars. The Teslas are just SO spartan on the interior. THIS Lyriq looks and feels like a luxury car. A Cadillac! Your video has removed some of the Charge anxiety. I live in Malibu and have my own Level 2 Chargepoint charger at home -- but I have yet to take a long road trip. Today, I just picked up my GM NACS adapter, so I can use Tesla chargers -- but I am just starting my education. The biggest thing seems to be there are only certain Tesla Superchargers you can use (Version 3 and 4?) so I need to research this a little more. Anyway, nuff said, thanks for your informative, enjoyable video.
I. have a Model Y and a Lyriq is next. More upscale interior, sunroof shade; better ride; quieter; more modern. And Musk is toxic. The frunk we never use.
There is quite a bit of storage space in the rear of the Lyriq. I don't miss the frunk which I only occasionally used. I don't know why Michael calls it a smaller vehicle, seems roomy to me. I use the sport mode which makes handling less clumsy. It is also supposed to give better acceleration and Cadillac warns that it may decrease mileage although I haven't noticed the difference. Smoother operation overall than Tesla.
These charging stations need to be regulated, as one charger I went to was $0.99 per kW while another was $0.30. That’s a huge difference, I would have spent less on gas.
Just like buying a house, land is different prices in different regions. So are utility costs. I pay $.06 a kWh for off peak charging at home. This is for power that is already in homes. What is your rate? Fast chargers are much higher voltages and current.
@@frankdelao4067my cousin has a Tesla and charges at home. His electric bill is up 55 dollars. I told him I have a room for him if his EV ever catches his house on fire...
At 14:05 you mention that "with the 600e4 you get the extended range battery". Sorry no. There is no such thing as an "extended range battery" with a Lyriq. ALL Lyriqs have a 102Kwh battery. The 600e4 references the amount of torque (expressed in Newton Meters) that is developed by the car, the "e" is for electric, and the 4 is for 4 wheel drive. The AWD version gives you 600 NM of torque, and the RWD gives you 450 (and so has a 450e badge). It's great that you pointed out the 600e4 badge, but you missed the opportunity to tell your viewers that the AWD version gives you 504 HP!!! The RWD is only 340 HP. As a 600e4 owner I can tell you that the AWD acceleration is always everyone's favorite Lyriq party trick when I'm showing off my car.
@@williamerazo3921 I'm not sure if that comment is meant to be a statement or a question. If a question - the answer is: I don't know. First, I never charge to 100%. I top out at 80% to preserve the battery. Second, I think I've let it get below 150 miles maybe twice since I've owned it. I pretty much charge every night, even if I've only driven 5 miles that day, as I've read that that is the best way to treat your battery. 90% of the time I keep my range between 250 and 200.
Good Video, I just bought a 2024 Cadillac XT4, While I wanted the Lyriq was 10 more and my family cant get the tax credit. If they could get the price in 55k range I would gotten it. With that being said my XT4 has the same 33' in display. Some thing I loved about the Lyriq when I saw it in person was the sound of the car. I mean it sounds like its singing. You have to hear it for yourself. Its a very cool EV. Much better then any Tesla! Its 33'in display is so very cool and so is the moonroof, both are what sold me on the XT4. I am happy that I went American for the 1st and I love knowing that it was union built too. Some day I will get and EV and I'm betting it will be the Cadillac Lyriq.
My Tesla used to charge for $10-$20 or so but I almost always charge at home although the Tesla wall charger doesn't work with the Lyriq so I use the portable charger which came with the car.
We leased 2 Lyriq's and recently just traded in one back to a Tesla. The Lyriq drives like no other car I've driven. Comfortable and spacious but some things are to be desired. The touchscreen can be super glitchy. We got 2 years of free charging with ours but charging it at home is quite costly with the amount of energy it consumes. The app is basically useless. I'm by no means a Tesla fanboy but with the amount of driving I do and between the infrastructure available it was a no brainer to go back to my Tesla.
2 speakers per door. Speaker below the silver door speaker. 2 speakers in the head rest. I do believe that would be 11 speakers in the front. Good job.
A friend has one of these (the 600 dual motor) and absolutely loves it, his only complaint being weak air conditioning on really hot days. He's said if they fix that, he'll quite likely get another in a year or so when his lease is up.
OK being a Lexus owner myself with LYRIQ being an EV now makes Cadillac compete as a very reliable low maintenance luxury car (which it isn't as a gas car) Bringing competition to anything in it's price range Lexus included & a no brainer over plain Jane non luxury cars like Tesla Model Y which no longer competes unless you like less for your money
Did you ever do a follow-up on the high cost of charging in TN vs. the lower cost in GA???? Why was the TN charge so expensive?? Even more than when I gas up my Expedition when it is on empty.
Not true that you need a 50amp 220 volt circuit to charge the car at home. Most people don't drive under 40 miles per day. A level 1 (120 vac) charger will deliver about 3 miles of charge per hour. So in 12 hours you can get 36 mile of charge. Then if you need more you can go to a level 3 DC charger. If people can manage their time, they can charge at the grocery store when the do their weekly food shopping. This method would not take any additional charging time. I love my EV and could never go back to gas!
It's a beautiful car. Thank you for the informative video. The Lyriq is on our consideration list. The Electrify America rates seem high. Fortunately we will mostly be using our solar to charge it.
The Lyriq sold 7300 units, q3 2024 About 20,000 units for the entire year. Why are you click bating suggesting it’s a “Tesla killer”? The Ultium is being canceled, it’s a TERRIBLE battery design. The Lyriq is a very weak ICE conversion- the HUGE front with zero frunk space is damning.
Curious to see what Electrify America says when you talk to them - that first charging stop seems really off, I've never seen an Electrify America station estimate how much juice you're going to use. It almost seems like that station charged you $50 just to hook up and then went up from there as you charged.
I don't know about your second charge but on the first one you had to pull an ap up on your phone. I for one do not want several aps on my phone so that I can go to chg pt. or electrify Am, or whatever. So for me = skip the whole ap thing just need the credit card. Second I want the averge range posted on the window sticker. I don't want the optimum, so if a vehicle gets 300 mi in moderate temps but only 250 in cold or hot I want to see the 250 somewhere. Finally I want a full from empty charge taking around 15 +/- minutes. I have a phev now but would need the aforementioned requirements before I go all electric. Dependable chargers would be nice too. I have often looked admiringly at the Cadillac Lyriq as they drive by and appreciate the review.
Half of owning an Electric car is the ownership experience. #1 cost of the vehicle #2 cost of insuring it #3 cost of maintaining it. #4 opportunity cost of owning it (what else could I have done with my money). #5 personal enjoyment driving the vehicle. But Electric vehicles have another HALF of that ownership experience and it's THE CHARGING EXPERIENCE. #1 How easily can I get to a charger. #2 How expensive is the car to charge. #3 How reliable are the chargers. #4 How easy is it to charge the vehicle (communication issues?) #5 How many miles can I go per charge (do I have range anxiety?). TESLA has managed to make a bunch of vehicles with a C- ownership experience but presented them with an A- charging experience. Every Tesla Supercharger is plug and play, plug and pay, easy to find on the integrated app, easy to use and STANDARDIZED which most other E-vehicles can't boast. Most other E-vehicles present you with an A- vehicle but a C- charging experience (or worse). It will be YEARS - maybe decades before charging becomes as easy as gassing up.
Here's why I wouldn't want a fully electric vehicle. When I'm on a road trip I don't want my stops to charge to take 40 minutes to get to 100%. I like stopping for gas, go to the restroom & grab a snack in under 20 minutes or less. Imagine there being a lot more vehicles on the road & having to wait for a spot at the charging station if it takes 40 minutes for one vehicle to charge. Also I live in Texas........Texas can't keep its power grid up with just a few EVs on the road. I can only imagine if all car manufacturers went fully electric. I'll stick with my gas powered vehicle.
Most Cadillac buyers will have a place to charge at home so around town and short trips shouldn't be a problem. On the other hand this thing would be fantastic on a long trip it just depends on where that trip is and how many charge stations are along that route. I hope someday all chargers will be plug and charge with just one account like roaming works on cell phones. If cell phone networks can do it charge stations can too. In fact it would be cool if you could get charging billed to your cell phone account even if you have no automakers app. Even better would be to have it billed to your electric bill along with your home usage. The 10 to 80 percent charge time is meaningless if it takes you 15 minutes to figure out how to pay.
I would love to have an EV, once they are improved. With my travels taking me from Lancaster Pennsylvania to Jacksonville Florida, Johnson city Tennessee, Dallas Texas, Kansas city Missouri, Chicago Illinois, I need an EV that is not only a large full size luxury automobile which Tesla doesn't even make but one that delivers atleast a 10 min charging time for a range of atleast 500 miles. This new Cadillac delivers a range of 314 miles after charging for hours. For as far as I travel, I'll keep my Jaguar XJL. 3 minutes of downtime for a range of 570 miles, paid off at 41K and a large full size luxury automobile. The Cadillac Lyric will cost you even more because, it's a Cadillac. Atleast with the Lyric, you have a dashboard with style and class and not the 2 by 4 look with a screen in the middle like Tesla provides. Come out with a Cadillac Lyric that offers 10 minutes of charging and for a range of atleast 500 miles. Till then, I'll take the gas. Money I have, time I don't. Improve the EV and I'm all in otherwise, I think I'll simply leave more than well enough alone. .....
11:22 you mentioned CarPlay and Android Auto, but Lyriqs, as with all GM EVs, are losing those features going forward. You didnt show CarPlay on this screen so i couldnt tell if it really had it there because theyre supposed to be dropping it starting with the 2025 model year Lyriq. They already dropped it in Blazer and Equinox EVs
That was one of the biggest thing I wanted to know, does the 25 still have CarPlay? Also, I heard before the previous models AC was a little weak and that was supposed to be improved in the 25 model.
cost is different because different states charge differently for electricity just as all gas prices at all BP stations aren't the same because the cost isn't the same. There are some states that charge by the minute not KW
I love this car, I really do. It's the only GM EV I can stand. But it is slow and laggy. It drives like an ICE vehicle, which is good in some ways, but it feels like a GM 8 speed transmission is attached to it. I'm not sure how they managed that. EV's have a lot of downsides like long charge times. Don't take away the good things about EV's, General Motors.
These over the road charging stations are expensive. Hopefully I will get a new Optiq before too long and I’ll be doing all my charging at home, about two cent per kWh.
I was under the impression the 2025 GM products would have a native NACS port, that is obviously not true for this vehicle. Do you have any updates on that issue?
NACS is a start. Imagine if you had to have an adapter to buy gas at a Shell station and a different one to go to BP. A standard port as well as more infrastructure will help. I'm disappointed that GM keeps pushing the adoption of NACS back. Even the new $350K Celestique doesn't come with NACS. Ridiculous. Having to use an adapter on a Lyriq is a non starter for me and I've been waiting to buy since 2022. I have a professionally installed Tesla charger at home but couldn't stand the Tesla which is car like, but clearly something else that just didn't work for me. Phantom braking and loopy FSD performance just killed it for me.
Sop watching when said the frunk is a gimmick. Obviously, GM paid you for the review. I own(ed) a Model 3, X and CyberTruck and I use it all the time during daily use and long trips. I do like the Lyric (neighbor has one). Too bad the engineers at GM can’t figure out how to design a car with a frunk, unlike like an upstart engineers at Tesla.
Is this really a 2025 Lyriq? In any case, after seeing and driving a Lyriq I didn't even consider a Tesla. The Lyriq has an amazingly quiet smooth ride, has more than enough power, and is very spacious and comfortable. There is no "extended range battery", all Lyriq's have a 102kwh battery. But if you want to optimize range opt for the smaller 20" wheels.
As much as I think there are good electric cars out there, anything not able to use the tesla charger network is a no go. They are the only chargers you can roll up to and count on a) it working at all and b) that it is capable of charging at the indicated rate. Any other network I've ever experienced is an absolute disaster for reliability.
Agreed , the infrastructure sucks. Until the battery development meets the expectations of the BEV buyers, the number of takers will continue to decline. There are some very promising battery technologies coming along...just not fast enough.
There are many reasons that automobile manufactures are pulling back from EV’s, one of them is probably that they’re bought off by the fossil fuel industry, secondly dealerships will lose a lot of their business once EV become mainstream, so if they continue with the hybrids then the service departments can continue with their outlandish Profits. The other reason is politics.
Tesla battery cells will be available in 10+ years because they are a standard size/type, and because tesla has sold so many EVe using a very few cwlls types. GM is already changing their mind on cells it seems.
Only Tesla makes a profit on EV sales. Other companies need to get their cost down before they can sell more otherwise they will go broke losing money on EVs. I love the fact that we have more selection than just Tesla and the Lyriq is fantastic but we just won't see big production numbers for a while.
I'm not sure public infrastructure is what's keeping folks for buying EVs. There are folks who have a home and don't travel and still won't buy one. It's just going to take time before they catch on like the SUV craze did. When the neighbor has an EV and loves it and your ICE car is in for expensive repairs all the time it might motivate some.
GM is losing money on Lyriq, and it’s not selling well, only a fraction of model Y. Handling is so bad on twisty roads. Not a fun car to drive around. Suited for comfortable commutes. Then lack of FSD….. If it gets licensing to get FSD from Tesla, then I will consider it.
It's a very good looking vehicle but that charging port is the worst design in any EV. Infrastructure sucks ass? Go buy a Tesla, the best charging network in the country with tens of thousands of charging stations. BTW, other than the "luxury feel" there is nothing the Lyriq does that a Tesla Model Y can't do for $20,000 less. The advantage to the Cadillac is that it's a very large SUV even though the rear seat space is similar to the Model Y, but the Lyriq is a much larger vehicle' which also means it's less efficiency. In fact, the Tesla has many more features than the Lyriq. Lastly, GM recently announced they are killing the Ultium battery platform in favor of something else, which wasn't specified. Not that the Lyriq is a bad choice, it will be a good used vehicle in the near future at a much lower price.
I checked it out at the MTL auto show back in January and I found the lyriq has too much plastic chrome for my taste. And by the way, the ultium platform is dead and will be replaced by a new platform. They are confused.
It’s best too charge at home in your garage. If you don’t have the charging system built into your garage yet you can always unplug your electric dryer if it’s in your garage and it has a 220 line. It’s the cheapest way to charge and doesn’t require an extra installation.
Worst idea ever. My dryer outlet is on a 30 amp breaker. My house was built in 2017 and newer houses have aluminized wiring to the outlet. Vehicle charging requires full copper to keep the line from overheating. I had a direct full copper charger installed, and it’s on a 60amp 2 pole breaker for a 48amp charger. Telling people to plug into a dryer outlet is waiting for your house to just burn to the ground while you’re asleep.
Extremely disappointed if this is fact a 2025 model, without an NACS adapter. Just removed my name from the list for the same reason you dealt with. Jockeying chargers. Infrastructure does suck, without an NACS adapter.
When you done going to the bathroom and your beefgerky, you still have to sit and stay awhile 😅 well see ya...53 dollars to charge? For 14 minutes of charging? Damn!! Cost me 40 dollars for 3 minutes of fueling and for a range of 570 miles.
Is a nightmare on in a Cadillac lyric if you gotta go to them charges just buy a Tesla never had no problems. Just drop up in charge and go. You better hurry up and go to Tesla charges.
Actually they don't. They just need to license it, as GM has already done. I've already done one charge of my Lyriq at a Tesla Supercharger - and it works great. Best of all worlds.
What a total waste. In some cases it's actually more expensive than fuel. Why on earth would you buy it? Plus you're going to eat through tires with all the torque.
You have to have owned an EV to know why they don't sell. Once you find the nearby charging stations you have to pray they work and there isn't a line of cars waiting to charge. If anyone tells you differently they don't travel with their EV as I did. It's a joke and Biden got 85 billion to build charging stations across the USA but they have yet to build them. I guess studying trans bumble bees is more important. 2 thumbs down and it costs me less to fill my car with gas than electricity. Don't forget to tell the wannabe buyers that the manufacturers recommend no more than 85% charge to extend the battery life.

Why didn’t you get the home charging option. That way you don’t have to be at chargers unless you on long distance drives.
Thanks for the video. I have been driving EVs for almost ten years. I have had Teslas and a Taycan. I absolutely LOVE my Lyriq!
The Aztek EV~that rear end looks like it was rear ended…
We just did the same two weeks ago for the same reasons. Our 25 year old Son leased one a week later. We love them so far!

You still get 320 miles range
@@williamerazo3921 I'm not sure if that comment is meant to be a statement or a question. If a question - the answer is: I don't know. First, I never charge to 100%. I top out at 80% to preserve the battery. Second, I think I've let it get below 150 miles maybe twice since I've owned it. I pretty much charge every night, even if I've only driven 5 miles that day, as I've read that that is the best way to treat your battery. 90% of the time I keep my range between 250 and 200.
The Aztek EV~that rear end looks like it was rear ended…
You can imagine then how much I enjoy the 450 hp of my Volvo V60.
56 cents for a kwh? We pay less than 7 cents at home. Ouch!
My Tesla used to charge for $10-$20 or so but I almost always charge at home although the Tesla wall charger doesn't work with the Lyriq so I use the portable charger which came with the car.
At home is nice but sometime we are not at home and need to charge.
Exactly. Charge at home it’s much cheaper with the rebate they give you
I've owned 2 Model Ss. I wouldn't say that Tesla is in trouble and GM may be a new player although judging from my Lyriq, GM is on the right track!
The last Buc-ee's I visited had Tesla charging ports as well as the usual dozens of gas pumps.
I’ve owned a Lyriq for almost two months.
So far I love mine.
Good job.
Fantastic video thank you !
Good job!! I love the look of the Lyriq !! charging it may be a problem!! The time and the 150 amp in your house.
A friend has one of these (the 600 dual motor) and absolutely loves it, his only complaint being weak air conditioning on really hot days. He's said if they fix that, he'll quite likely get another in a year or so when his lease is up.
They fixed it. Heard about the weak air conditioning, but my 2024 Lyriq Sport 2 set at automatic climate control of 72 degrees in Florida is too cold.
Great review Mike. Great work. Very thorough. Excellent.
OK being a Lexus owner myself with LYRIQ being an EV now makes Cadillac compete as a very reliable low maintenance luxury car (which it isn't as a gas car)
Bringing competition to anything in it's price range Lexus included & a no brainer over plain Jane non luxury cars like Tesla Model Y which no longer competes unless you like less for your money
The Lyriq sold 7300 units, q3 2024
About 20,000 units for the entire year.
Why are you click bating suggesting it’s a “Tesla killer”?
The Ultium is being canceled, it’s a TERRIBLE battery design.
The Lyriq is a very weak ICE conversion- the HUGE front with zero frunk space is damning.
This feels like a Cadilac Fan Boy Commerciial 100%
Have your feelings ever been wrong?
Curious to see what Electrify America says when you talk to them - that first charging stop seems really off, I've never seen an Electrify America station estimate how much juice you're going to use. It almost seems like that station charged you $50 just to hook up and then went up from there as you charged.
Agree...something is really off from that original charge compared to the 2nd one.
#1 cost of the vehicle
#2 cost of insuring it
#3 cost of maintaining it.
#4 How easy is it to charge the vehicle (communication issues?)
#5 How many miles can I go per charge (do I have range anxiety?).
This was a great video! Thank you.
Excellent presentation!
Did they add a head's up display to the 2025 model?
Improve the EV and I'm all in otherwise, I think I'll simply leave more than well enough alone. .....
Wine?? Really Tom? We F150 Lightning guys are beer....ALWAYS! 🤣
GM is really making great looking EVs .❤❤❤
11:22 you mentioned CarPlay and Android Auto, but Lyriqs, as with all GM EVs, are losing those features going forward. You didnt show CarPlay on this screen so i couldnt tell if it really had it there because theyre supposed to be dropping it starting with the 2025 model year Lyriq. They already dropped it in Blazer and Equinox EVs
That was one of the biggest thing I wanted to know, does the 25 still have CarPlay? Also, I heard before the previous models AC was a little weak and that was supposed to be improved in the 25 model.
@@cclementsonI have a 2024 Blazer EV and I really don’t miss Apple car play. 😊
I thought this review would highlight the differences between the 24 and 25. Is the car you are reviewing a 25? I didnt think dealers had those yet?
I don't even go to gas stations late at night. I make pouring gas during the day, when most bad guys are sleeping.
cost is different because different states charge differently for electricity just as all gas prices at all BP stations aren't the same because the cost isn't the same.
What is the miles per Kw? My 2022 Tesla X gets only 2.9 miles per Kw. If you charge at Tesla at .35 per Kw., it's over 12 cents per mile.
It's "starting in 2025"... not necessarily 2025 models which are already out
It’s a really smooth riding cruiser and Teslas still ride like rocks with cheap leather in them
I want one of these!
Omg why was the charge so expensive there I've never had to pay that much for a charge ever
Because MAGA and Trump said EV’s are too woke. But now I guess they will be Cool because Musk as jump on the MAGA train and I hope it crashes 😅

It’s the south they really don’t want you to have an EV in most of the south they’ll never have the infrastructure vs the west coast that does
If you want style in the high dollar car you buy like I do, Tesla is not on the same page. GM is the leader in style and better Q/C than Tesla.
So the 2025 doesn't have HUD?

can i get a used EV under 10K with 200 miles range ?
Is this really a 2025 Lyriq? In any case, after seeing and driving a Lyriq I didn't even consider a Tesla. The Lyriq has an amazingly quiet smooth ride, has more than enough power, and is very spacious and comfortable. There is no "extended range battery", all Lyriq's have a 102kwh battery. But if you want to optimize range opt for the smaller 20" wheels.
The Aztek EV~that rear end looks like it was rear ended…
As much as I think there are good electric cars out there, anything not able to use the tesla charger network is a no go. They are the only chargers you can roll up to and count on a) it working at all and b) that it is capable of charging at the indicated rate.
Any other network I've ever experienced is an absolute disaster for reliability.
Agreed , the infrastructure sucks. Until the battery development meets the expectations of the BEV buyers, the number of takers will continue to decline. There are some very promising battery technologies coming along...just not fast enough.
AKG system in Lyriq has 19 speakers.
No drunk because you need to get to the highly advance vehicle mechanicals (with 1/4 the parts as a combustion equivalent) 😂

The Aztek EV~the Lyric rear end looks like it was rear ended…
There are many reasons that automobile manufactures are pulling back from EV’s, one of them is probably that they’re bought off by the fossil fuel industry, secondly dealerships will lose a lot of their business once EV become mainstream, so if they continue with the hybrids then the service departments can continue with their outlandish Profits.
The other reason is politics.
Wow. That price seems high
I loved my Lyriq but insurance and my business fold so I had to let it go
Tesla battery cells will be available in 10+ years because they are a standard size/type, and because tesla has sold so many EVe using a very few cwlls types. GM is already changing their mind on cells it seems.
I have one and love it.
8 min in and couldn’t take this guy any longer. Either talk about the car or your opinion, not both. We can form our own opinion.
How much is it I take it it's self driveing
The rear end looks like a Pontiac Aztek.. Front end is Lexus
Only Tesla makes a profit on EV sales. Other companies need to get their cost down before they can sell more otherwise they will go broke losing money on EVs. I love the fact that we have more selection than just Tesla and the Lyriq is fantastic but we just won't see big production numbers for a while.
Its a nice car but Tesla is not in trouble at all
I'm not sure public infrastructure is what's keeping folks for buying EVs.
It had 3 Ev Chevy volt Cadillac ELR and the Chevy Bolt
I checked it out at the MTL auto show back in January and I found the lyriq has too much plastic chrome for my taste. And by the way, the ultium platform is dead and will be replaced by a new platform. They are confused.
Getting cost down with improvement is good,a new type of battery for lower cost is great
It’s best too charge at home in your garage.
Love my lyriq
Extremely disappointed if this is fact a 2025 model, without an NACS adapter. Just removed my name from the list for the same reason you dealt with. Jockeying chargers. Infrastructure does suck, without an NACS adapter.
Another at Cadillac’s price point
The shaky charging cap is still there.
Nice sell.
Wow. GM has made 13,000 Lyrics. Tesla makes more cars in 3 days. 1,850,000 in 2023.
When you done going to the bathroom and your beefgerky, you still have to sit and stay awhile 😅 well see ya...53 dollars to charge? For 14 minutes of charging? Damn!! Cost me 40 dollars for 3 minutes of fueling and for a range of 570 miles.
WELL WHATS THE POINT OF PAYN 53 .00 AND GOT TO WAIT ALL THAT TIME TO CHARGE it ???? ITS EASIER TO BUY A GAS CAR AND SHORTER TIME AT THE PUMP
Is a nightmare on in a Cadillac lyric if you gotta go to them charges just buy a Tesla never had no problems. Just drop up in charge and go. You better hurry up and go to Tesla charges.
It's not the cars that carmakers need to work to beat tesla it's the charging network!!
Actually they don't. They just need to license it, as GM has already done. I've already done one charge of my Lyriq at a Tesla Supercharger - and it works great. Best of all worlds.
Guy doesn’t know ultium is just LG pouch cell batteries.
What a total waste. In some cases it's actually more expensive than fuel. Why on earth would you buy it? Plus you're going to eat through tires with all the torque.
A very good choice. i will sell my Tesla 3 and get rid of supporting Elon Musk who is cracy.💙
$58 to fill up?? That’s gas prices there!
Much higher, since that was $58 charge for 175 miles
Dumping MY for GM
You have to have owned an EV to know why they don't sell. Once you find the nearby charging stations you have to pray they work and there isn't a line of cars waiting to charge. If anyone tells you differently they don't travel with their EV as I did. It's a joke and Biden got 85 billion to build charging stations across the USA but they have yet to build them. I guess studying trans bumble bees is more important. 2 thumbs down and it costs me less to fill my car with gas than electricity.
Don't forget to tell the wannabe buyers that the manufacturers recommend no more than 85% charge to extend the battery life.
I'm waiting for soil state battery EV better. That is an expensive charged 58% for $53.70. I fill up gas for my SUV only $50.
