When Bobby and I were doing the guide layouts. I shot some high speed footage.... (the first cast was hilarious as he caught the line roller so I got a high speed breakoff ).It was very noticeable how the RV reduction allowed for much better line flow over the KW. These are special enough that I have a pair of ODM evos collecting dust in the basement.

Compared to the first generation, are these more moderate? Seems to be confusing info about the action

The strongest and most stable joint is a tip into butt joint. It's stronger and more stable than spigot or tip over butt. If you look closely at the female end you'll see a carbon ring. I added this ring and it's part of the manufacturing process of the blank. Most use a metal reinforcing ring or thread. Carbon is stronger and being the same material, expands and contracts at the same rate as the blank under stress and environmental variables. The male side didn't have to have the wall thickened. But the joint allows for no unnecessary altering of the blanks makeup to accomodate fitment without large differences in o.d. The blank wall thickness as a whole is very thick in comparison to many ultra premium feather light rods......Weights compare to St croix legend but with much thicker blank walls, and a far more stable joint. I have spigot jointed samples but chose tip into butt for overall strength and stability

would have liked to compare both rods throwing the same plugs, but I get it, both blanks are the same but it looks like the Forged is a bit faster.....also, your casting form is flawless...great Vid.....thanks.

So much. I'm going to sell everything else this is going to be my go to rod.

One question. How did it cast the 3/4 oz baits? Valuable input- keep up the great work!

More critiquing on your video image: Less sky / more ground. Generally we should practice the Rule of Thirds (technically it's a guideline not a rule). In this case with the horizon. This will do 2 things. It will make the image more interesting and balanced, and it will trick the light meter to brighten the subject - the speaker and the product. Good lookin' out! You could also get a little tighter. Just saying. 😁

In terms of lure range weight / type ... what is the sweet spot lure weight for a Super Strike Lil Neck popper? 2.5 oz?

You probably don’t know anything about tsunamis they are actually really good rods and unless you want to pay 500 or $600 for Rod made an America . tsunami is probably one of the best factory rods out there under 500

How about a video of older Surf Rods we can buy used CHEAP, as old as 50 years old, that can compete with these NEW stupid expensive favorites. Why do you all ignore them? Not everybody has a grand to start fishing again, now that they're retired.
