Jurupa Valley: Deadly Bee Attack

On Friday August 9, 2024, at 7:37 p.m., Firefighters from Cal Fire, Riverside County, Jurupa Valley responded to the area of 52nd street in Jurupa Valley for a reported person that was being attacked by a swarm of bees. When units arrived on scene, they found two people that were being attacked by the swarm of bees, as well as 4 horses. Both patients were transported to a local area hospital, one in critical condition, the other suffering from moderate injuries. Two of the horses were safely evacuated and are fine but suffering from multiple bee stings. One horse was down suffering from critical injuries, the status of the horse is unknown. The fourth horse was pronounced deceased from the injuries sustained by the bees. Firefighters were able to use a combination of foam and water to get the hive down and get the bees away from the horses and the area.

I got the impression the horse that died a was a foal. You see a body get flipped over when the 2 guys are in the stall area with the ropes. If a mom and foal were in there... it looks like they couldn't 😊get away.
