  • Some of the most beautiful English villages can be found in the Cotswolds. This guide shows you Englands prettiest villages and historical properties from this beautiful part of England.
Our 2 part guide, starts in Castle Combe, voted the prettiest village in England a number of times. Hardly changed since the 16 hundreds, this sleepy village is also famous for being the backdrop in a number of films, including Steven Spielberg's War Horse and the 1967 classic Dr Dolittle.
Walking down by the river "By Brook", the weaver's cottages are the highlight. Home to the local weavers back in the 15th century, they were highly skilled craftsmen men and women and held high status in the village.
    Castle Combe goo.gl/maps/ZezDHoqSpb1kNmFq9
Bibury is not to be missed on any trip to the Cotswolds. Possibly the most beautiful chocolate box village in the Cotswolds and noted as such by William Morris when he visited. The Arlington Row is the highlight of the visit and again seen in movies like Stardust and Bridget Jones Diary. It can get very busy here so suggest you come early morning or late afternoon when the tour buses have passed.
    Bibury goo.gl/maps/nPFSgCKCPZcgYT819
Burford has a sweeping long high street with delightful shops, antiques and tearooms. The 15th-century parish church of St. John Baptist is a magnificently preserved example and should not be missed whilst in the town.

What?😂Not so much of a teacher. If you said Greece for example that would be more accurate. What a civilisation indeed😂😂..Mind you, until 80 years ago, your compatriots were still used as animals in HUMAN zoos in major UK cities. I could add much much more, how they've bloodshed many countries, how they've massacred people and monuments and so on but you have to do your personal research. That said, English landscape is magical to me

@Mario Stolarz *Stuff made of Dreams - the Scenery is to Die for - truly magnificent and on a good day nothing could be finer - I consider myself so lucky to be within an hour or so and plan many visits in these troubled times.*
Our revels now are ended. These our actors,
As I foretold you, were all spirits and
Are melted into air, into thin air:
And, like the baseless fabric of this vision,
The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces,
The solemn temples, the great globe itself,
Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve
And, like this insubstantial pageant faded,
Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff
As dreams are made on, and our little life
      Is rounded with a sleep.

Dear Sir, I'm from Malaysia...our country was colonized by the British before our indepence in 1957. As such the second language taught in our schools is the English Language and the main language is Bahasa Melayu.
For your info Sir, our school syllabus has great influence of the British setting (even after independence) and it has already become part of childhood memories and lives..
The nursery rhymes...Many Had a Little Lamb, Jack and Jill went up the Hill..etc..are still taught in schools and till today schools must use the British spelling of words like night not nite, tyre not tire and so on..
Thus, its a dream of most Malaysian citizens (especially the senoir ones) to feel and see the British or English way of life especially in the countryside..
I feel most British colonized countries' citizens have a dream to visit British and England, so please welcome us with open arms...
