    I love how relaxed he is and how it he talks like he's 30! If you compare him to like Phil Simms who sounds like he's 70, he just sounds like a much cooler guy. Wish he could do more commentary on regular games! And there can be no doubt. Best. Quarterback. Ever.

      Anybody is better than Simms @ QB !!! But, If Marino had the team Montana had, Marino would have more SB rings. Bill Walsh was amazed at the talent of Marino.

    The GOAT. Had to beat the 84-86 Bears, The Hogs, The Giants w/LT, The Eagles w/Reggie White. No Defensless Receiver Rules. No Concussion Protocols, No rules against helmet to helmet contact.

      Just the thought o that sack still makes me cringe. In slow motion it is worse, joe made a great fake to get in position to throw the ball and little did he know a train was coming from behind....
      We still would have won that super bowl if Craig didn't fumble. Young had the chops to beat Buffalo.

    Yea I agree kap doesn't see the field well but that's the bet the niners made with him. They're hoping he can fix that. Kap has actually won playoff games unlike jay cutler, and kap actually made the NFC champ game competive while Peyton got destroyed in the suberbowl. If kap can make minor adjustments like hitting his check down and learning to live to fight another day(just throw it away) that alone would be a major improvement. Even if kap never reaches his ceiling I'd still take him over Alex smith any and every day. Alex smith is what he is, a very classy, highly intellectual, game manager, who just can't make the down the field throws that kap can make. We were doomed either way lol. Randal Cunningham? Yea I guess for the long strides but Randal was far more elusive, great pocket awareness, and had great touch. Kap is more like a giraffe when he takes off but turns into an Olympic sprinter who can throw a 95mph was fastball. Completely different players bro.

    "SEMITISM", according to Webster's and ALL of the other dictionaries, means you "Practice or believe in SHOWING JEWS FAVOR”... "SEMITIC" refers to ALL of the people of the area, Palestinians, Syrians and yes, isralies too... THEREFORE, "antisemitism" and "antisemitic" mean two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT things... I LOVE Palestinian people, I do NOT believe in showing ANYONE "favor", ESPECIALLY anyone that believe they are BORN SUPERIOR to ME... that I and everyone else is "just Goyim"... That is the MOST SUPREMACIST set of beliefs in the world and I'm ALLOWED to THINK that way and CHOOSE to NOT support it!! The one thing I do KNOW, I've been BEGGING for someone of that "faith"/NATIONAL IDENTITY to come TALK to me and EXPLAIN to me what I'm "WRONG about", EXPLAIN to me WHY we give israel (a "FIRST WORLD" country) 3.8 BILLION DOLLARS a year INSTEAD of using it to fund ANTI-PEDOPHILE groups or Veterans groups or Women's Rights groups or a PLETHORA of other BETTER causes, EXPLAIN to me ANY of the stuff that is supposedly "non-existent" and EXPLAIN what other reasons people feel the way they do about israel? I am a PERSON OF COLOR, my grandfather was a CONCENTRATION CAMP SURVIVOR, so you CAN'T just write me off as "some dumb skinhead", yet I NEVER have ANYBODY that believes my OPINION WORTHY enough to come TRY to "adjust" it. I'm just supposed to believe a bunch of stuff that DOESN'T MAKE SENSE (well, OTHER than "conspiracy") because it makes people uncomfortable talking about it.. AND/OR, I'm RIGHT and people don't LIKE that... I'm open to being wrong, but again, I'm just not worthy enough, apparently... Just look at all of the responses I will get on THIS comment.. anybody who ASKS QUESTIONS or points out the INCREDIBLE HYPOCRISY and OBVIOUS APARTHEID going on, like Ben & Jerry's saying they no longer want to sell in ILLEGALLY OCCUPIED TERRITORIES (STILL selling IN israel though), gets INSTANTLY labeled as someone who "hates jews", when Ben & Jerry's is a JEWISH COMPANY.. how does that work??? How is it that retirement funds for average people are being threatened over this? How come nobody's really talking about it? Again, I'd LOVE to be WRONG, I'd LOVE for SOMEBODY to just come EXPLAIN it to me ANY of this, but NOBODY ever seems WILLING, because APPARENTLY I'M just beneath YOU.. am I WRONG?

    Guys like me? Oh wow, love how you mentioned the play calling seemed like kap was throwing 3rd and longs all season, failure to establish the run, no screens for wrs or rbs to slow down the blitz, 3rd and longs are hard to convert when you have no speed wrs and a shuffling oline. Kap missed a lot of reads no doubt but there were countless times the wrs just weren't open!!! Check the tape no separation at all. What about watching Jonathan martin try and block I thought he was going to let kap get killed at times. It was so obvious the routes they were gong to run. Every time we got inside the 5 it was going to be an out route to boldin. And it's guys like you that pin it on one player when it takes a team to win. I was never sold on kap but I'm willing to give him one more season before I throw in the towel. Alex Smith over Kaep? Haha you really think Alex could've put up 44 points in the GB playoff game? You think he could've brought us back down by 17 against atl? You think he could've went into sub zero weather and beat gb on the road? Think he could've helped us against that mean panthers defense? Think he could've went into that hostil Seattle environment and come within inches of going back to the sb? Guys like me? Ha!

    • @jonq8714
      @jonq8714 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      "love how you mentioned the play calling seemed like kap was throwing 3rd and longs all season"
      He never looked past his first read, missed the check down all the time and can't hit a 5 yard slant. Result, 3rd and long. His hole.
      ..."failure to establish the run"
      Defenses stacked the box all season, daring us to throw. Bo Jackson couldn't run against 9 guys. Kap had single coverage on his receivers almost exclusively and couldn't capitalize.
      "no screens for wrs or rbs to slow down the blitz"
      They called them, he didn't throw the ball accurately or at all. Frank did a fantastic job picking up blitzes all year, Kap however never could recognize when even obvious blitzes were going to occur and failed to throw any quick hits to his receivers to attack the blitz.
      "3rd and longs are hard to convert when you have no speed wrs and a shuffling oline."
      Yes they are, if only he could adjust his thinking from home run all the time to take what the defense gives him. The OLine wasn't good, and a couple games they were horrible but for the most part that excuse is overblown. I've watched all the games and Kap did have time to throw a majority of the time. The results weren't there.
      "Check the tape no separation at all."
      I have all22 and believe me, open is open... sometimes it is the 3rd guy but Roman did a good job designing plays to get his guys open, Kap just never saw them. I half thought about starting blog called 'Hey Kap I'm Open!' with screen shots of open 49ers receivers.
      "Jonathan martin"
      Yeah, he is horrible.
      "Every time we got inside the 5 it was going to be an out route to boldin."
      Kap isn't good at timing throws and Boldin is the target he had actual chemistry with so no suprise they forced this in the red zone. Kap is the worst red zone QB i have ever seen because he holds the ball to long and cannot anticpate who is going to be open and has horrible footwork. By the time he sees the receiver it is too late in such tight spaces.
      "And it's guys like you that pin it on one player when it takes a team to win."
      Me and every other guy who watches the NFL realize it is 75% on the QB when it comes to scoring points and winning games. No other position player has nearly the impact that a QB does on the outcome of a game. Kap is our QB and he couldn't score points... if we had even a Joe Flacco or Matt Stafford we win the division and have home field, easily. Unfortunately we don't, we have Kap so the result is we lose and I point that out to you.
      "A I was never sold on kap but I'm willing to give him one more season before I throw in the towel."
      We are on the same page there, but I am hopeful that the front office brings in a vet for competition... like Hoyer from Cleveland i think would be a good backup just in case.
      "Alex Smith over Kaep? Haha you really think Alex could've put up 44 points in the GB playoff game?"
      He put up 36 against the saints the year before so it is possible, not to mention he put together the most exciting game winning drive we had seen in 20 years... The reason I prefer Alex is because i like him and his perseverance (he ran our training camp in 2011 when he probably should have left after all the shit he went through, but he stuck with us and gave us my favorite season since 1998)/. Plus he was playing very good when he got hurt and i never liked the way he lost his job. Also his personality is MUCH MUCH MUCH more likable to me and the stats are more or less the same so yeah... I prefer Alex. At least he kept our defense fresh instead of Kaptain 3 and out. Also, please stop throwing that Green Bay game out like it matters anymore it was 2 years ago and no one knew how to game plan for Kap... i promise you'll never see a game like that from him again because D coordinators have him figured out.
      "You think he could've brought us back down by 17 against atl?"
      Alex probably wouldn't have been down by 17 to begin with, how about that?
      "Think he could've helped us against that mean panthers defense?"
      Why not?

  • @anthonyc2781
    @anthonyc2781 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Bro were you even watching the the games yea kap missed too many reads but there were also just as many times where the wrs just didn't get open. Did you really just say our offense attempted screens???? You really are pulling stuff out of your arse. Why would we even throw a screen to gore and hyde cause they're so fast huh? Kendall hunters injury hurt us in that department. And filling the box? Yup cause our offenses hasn't been running the rock on 7 to 8 man fronts for the past 4 years huh? Since when do we play scared. And please tell me about theses quick outs or bubble screens we used because I sure as hell didn't see any? I already told you about Kaps misreads and just throwing it away so why do you keep beating a dead horse? It takes a team to win and lose to just like those costly drops my te's and wrs. Just like those costly penalties we had all year up and down our o line. But some how Alex smith is the answer lol okay man keep going with that one. I'll still take our "one read qb/run first" 3300 yards 20 tds and 10 int's for a one read qb well that's actually pretty damn good. Looking at Alex smith they're about the same as Kaps actually kap has the edge. I don't mind you knocking kap cause I was never fully sold but that's what were gambling on. I just don't get how you think keeping Alex smith was the answer? Agree to disagree

    • @jonq8714
      @jonq8714 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I never said Alex Smith was the answer, I only said I liked him more because statistically he is a little bit better than Kap without the douche bag persona.
      This year:
      Kap: 289/478 (60.5% complete), 19TD 10INT, 163 Complete for 1st downs, 86.4 Rating, 344 yards lost on sacks
      SMith: 303/464 (65% complete) 18TD 6 INT, 175 Complete for 1st downs, 93.4 Rating, 229 yards lost on sacks
      More or less the same statistical player.
      Our offense has been pretty bad for 4 years so honestly neither are the answer IMO. I am happy to hear that Kap is working with Warner this off-season on film study, that should work to his benefit. Kurt is severely underrated as far as all time QB's go so let's hope something rubs off onto kap.
      I don't think we are too far off from one another in regards to how our niners have played.

    Bill Walsh made the no name Cincinnati QB's into high performers. In his 2 years at Stanford Steve Dils(!) and Guy Benjamin(!) led the nation in passing. Joe had the skills to realize the BW concept of offense. What I remember about the start of BW in SF was that the QB would take a 3 step (or 5 or 7) drop, and throw to a wide open receiver. Quite different for the times.

    • @tupole272
      @tupole272 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea, Dan didn't play as long....if 16, the number of years Joe played, is bigger than 17, the number of years that Dan played. Of the 17 that Dan played he was the starter 17 years. He was however injured for most of the 93 season. So we'll say he played 16 seasons. Joe on the other hand was injured a lot and wasn't the starter his entire career. Of 16 season Joe actually played in about 12. The rest of the time he was injured. Of those 12 he was the starter for 10. In those 10 seasons he played in 7 conference championships and won 4 superbowls. So yea you guys are right. Marino is the greatest.

    OMG! What an embarrassment to the show. How could Dan Patrick even allow that glassy-eyed geek to tell Joe Montana that he's a "system quarterback????" 'Like Joe said, Steve Young, Steve Bono, Jeff Kemp, and others all played under Walsh's system and what how many Super Bowls did they win? BTW, who is that glassy-eyed geek?
