I feel like he wouldn't do that, and the association wouldn't do that either. They would most likely make him the strongest secret weapon like tatsumaki. They also might as well make him an S class hero and try keeping him on their side because if they know how strong he is, they know they can't defeat him. But if you put all that aside and lets say the association is stupid and they DID declare him too dangerous to be alive, he wouldn't kill anyone because he believes in justice and being a hero above all.
I feel like he would get bored of villainy even faster than being a hero. With his heroism, he still has more room to grow. Being a villain, the only standard he needs to uphold is... well, not losing.

It's a nice saying, but also has a lot more truth to it. If you ever become a hero, you change the world for the better. Since nobody is perfect, no hero ever changes the world into a utopia. They always leave a flawed legacy. You either die while the world has not yet had the time to confront the flaws in your heroism or you live long enough to see new heroes confront your flaws. In doing so, the next generation discovers that you are the villain. This is the true flaw in imagining the existence of heroes and villains. There are no heroes or villains. Only people. Flawed people. The act of imagining others as villains blinds you to the villainy all around you. You get to pretend like the only villains are THEM, and ignore yourself as a chief cause of evil. This ignorance creates two evils in turn. You diminish humanity by condemning fellow humans according to your own arbitrary will, and you allow evil to prosper under your own watch. The act of imagining others as heroes blinds you to the opportunity you have to be a positive force. You place the responsibility of heroism on others and wish for someone else to solve problems that you yourself may be quite capable of solving. The better alternative is to despise evil and forgive other humans for their flaws. When you look back in history or to the present of today and see flawed humans, you should not reject them for their evil, but accept them as part of your race while still rejecting their evil. And when you see others do good, you should not see them as heroes or figures of special note, but as men whose lives you do not fully understand, but whose actions serve as examples for how you too could do good.

The bitter-sweet ending to One Punch Man... Saitama faces one such opponent that reignites the spark of humanity he lost, he starts to enjoy the fight, the enemy does not die with a single punch, but rather he has to give it his all in order to defeat them. Eventually, with a super serious punch, Saitama wins, but the enemy, being as strong as Satiama, manages to land a critical hit too. The enemy falls, and so does the strongest hero with a smile on his face. That he finally got to experience the thrill of a fight and can die happy as a man.
This makes me wonder if the end of OPM is Saitama getting so obsessed with a getting a real challenge (like Boros) that he causes a ton of collateral damage without realizing it and becomes the "villain"... and Garou learns what it means to be a true hero... and has to stop and show him.
Saitama didn't get a job, lost the fight with the crab, train himself to get revenge and one day when he was training, he found out that the crab died and he trained for 3 years for nothing and he didn't realize he broke the limit to human strength..
"Every fight. Every time. I hope. For a single moment, I hope I might face an opponent that will bring that feeling back. ...and every fight... every time.... I set myself up for defeat. Why do I even keep doing this?" *Later on* "...Oh, right. They pay me."
Effectively, it is. When you look deeper, it's a story about a man who has already completed the hero's journey and finds that at the end lies not happiness, but boredom and a lack of fulfilment. He spends his days looking for a challenge, anything to give him something to strive towards or meaning to his life and finds nothing. In terms of strength he is to people as people are to ants. There is no achievement in stepping on an ant, no goals completed, no glorious conquest. It is merely a mechanical repetition of a simple act he's performed hundreds if not thousands of times. Saitama is a hero without purpose. This is why the most hard hitting scenes are not of Saitama fighting, but the struggles of other heroes like Genos and particularly Mumen Rider.
@@johnwickinyt3017 nah actually, it's more like wanting to feel something (so all the contrary to just "wanting to be depressed with extra steps" he already looks depressed, all he wants is to feel something, mostly by fighting, but how si he supposed to feel the adrenaline of fighting if all he does is killing them in one punch (they can't even harm him so he is also unable to tell himself "I HAVE to dodge his every attacks), there can't be any adrenaline, any pleasures from his fights, and that's what is actually making him depressed

No matter how hard I work to save their pitiful lives all I get in return is scorn and hatred. I'm sick of being a hero. I'm sick of being spat on and feared. Where is my justice? My reward? I have sacrificed everything and I feel nothing because of it. Is it too much to ask for a shred of appreciation from anyone?

He could do literally anything he wanted, and there are zero beings, apparently in the entire universe, that could stop him. But he doesn't. He'd rather be broke than steal. He'd rather be reviled and mocked than hurt an innocent. He'd rather be unknown than infamous. The only thing stronger than Saitama's punch is his restraint.
Genos "Sensei, I'm sorry... I'm not as strong as You, t-tha... you, for teaching a reckless young boy... Thank you my master, Thank you... My Hero." *In that moment, Saitama remembered why he became a hero, it wasn't because the joy of battle... it was because of the sadness of lost...*
Imagine. Just imagine one second if Saitama just gave up hope on finding a fighting partner that would give him the fights enjoyment and just decided to destroy humanity. Everybody trying their best to stop him.. Speed'o Sound Sonic that'd just get crushed with sideways jumps Tatsumaki's power that'd be effortless but useless even after giving her best until she has no strenght to give anymore, she'd just try to fly away seeing how strong and useless she can be but Saitama would just instantly get her. Silver Fang that would just think that he has done enough as a Hero and would give his all against Saitama even by knowing that he is no match for Saitama. Superalloy Darkshine, would just get depressed and would give up after giving his strongest hits with no success. Atomic Samurai would accept his fate after Saitama bite his saber. Metal Bat would find his bat broken after hitting Saitama and wouldn't get a single chance in a fight, since he would get one punched. Zombieman would get vaporized in a single kick, without having time to regenerate any part of his body. Pig God definitely doesn't stand a chance. Drive Knight doesn't get to do anything with his Cyborg part. Metal Knight (Bofoi) gets the same result as Drive Knight, but luckily he doesn't have to fight on his own, he could survive if hided. Child Emperor could maybe make a syringe that would weaken Saitama, but even if that was ever possible, Saitama's power are just to far above anyone else to even think about it. King.. no (except on a video game) Tank-Top Master has no chances. Puri-Puri Prisoner has no chances Flashy Flash doesn't stand a single chance even tho, i'm quite sure he is pretty good, close to Sonic. Watchdog Man, his style isn't enough to scratch Saitama. Blast's power are quite unknown for now and no idea how strong he can be. I don't think he has a chance but he can probably be close to Boros or even better. Genos knowing that he has 0% rate of winning, he'd just follow Saitama's step as he told him, with risk to be killed due to Saitama's new mindset. Garou could be a real opponent if he breaks his limits too, but could he really be even close to equal? We don't know but the fight can only be a good experience. No hate if anyone wants to comment, this is just my personal opinion on how it would happen ^^ nothing to take serious (even if some stuff could be actually right haha) I'd wish we could see an alternative story where he is actually bad or turns bad!
King's the only person who actually has a chance against Saitama. In the meta Saitama may be the ultimate strongest person, but King is the ultimate luckiest person. If they clash with Saitama at full power the apocalyptic storm of improbablitities would probably tear the Earth asunder.
Mumen Rider survives every punch, because he somehow keeps surviving attacks from everyone much stronger than him, and continously attempts to reason with him

This so good so I am gonna make a story for it One day a shape change villain type took genos's body and made a lot of damage in several cities the heroes thought that the real genos did that so genos became wanted also he couldn't get new body parts even the doctor doesn't trust him, so he tried his best surviving agains all S rank heroes but at the end he passed away and the last thing he said was "Saitama sensei" at that moment saitama was coming back from the store and he saw genos spelling his last words in front of him, saitama got a great emotional shock that all his emotions was back at once but most of it is sadness and hate toward the stupid hero community, in a moment of rage he decided to be the only hero on planet earth and the genocide has begin
I had this concept of some power stealing guy stealing Saitama's power, then an arc goes where this power stealing dude takes on the entire Hero Association and of course with saitama's power he's deemed invincible; it ends with Saitama still *trying* to stop the dude, even without whatever power he normally had, and Genos sacrificing himself to save Saitama. This sends Saitama into a blind rage... And he breaks his limit *again* and goes toe to toe with the power stealer, who keeps just absorbing Saitama's unlimited power over and over again, until eventually Saitama manages to land a punch and basically overcharge the dude's built up momentum, erasing him from existance.
Super cool thought. I've also thought about how ONE didn't add any "trump" powers to the series (defined as powers that break the game/flip the board)- stuff like mind control, power stealing/nullification- stuff that works around super strength instead of directly fighting it. Imagine a guy that puts a curse on Saitama that destroys any food that he approaches, causing Saitama to starve. Then again, OPM is so cool because he's in a world without trump powers (that work on him).

Saitama wakes up once more from a restless night not even sleep can bring him peace anymore all he can do is dream to feel any kind of joy but even so those dreams were rare and even if they came often he was always woken up by his true enemy...Reality showing that at the cost of wanting power there were great consequences Saitama looks around his apartment seeing Genos was not there to greet him like usual along with asking for his advice like a sensei soon the caped baldy spotted a sticky note on the wall as Saitama got up to read it seeing that Genos got send onto a mission by the hero assoctian and he would be gone for long time wanting to make Saitama proud and reach the goal his master hade given him to become the number 1 S class hero but to saitama he didnt even care he was at home alone all that was left were himself and his thoughts as he thought back on the days when he was but a simple human the time he actually felt pain and misery as he now looks at his fist "Was it worth it?" a voice rang through his head yet saitama ignored its precense as he left his home putting on his hero outfit and going outside to do hero work as he saw people stare and ignore him as if he was a nobody even tho he hade saved his own city the world even countless times there was always someone else that toke the credit or none saw it happen even tho Saitama became a hero not for the attention he still felt betrayed that he was not getting even a shred of recognitzion he deserved as Saitama thought through his mind "i trained so hard i sacrificed a part of my myself...my hair to become a hero and even tho all i do is save people none cared was it all for nothing?"' that voice rang through his head again as he thought of the multiple battles he hade been in...no you couldn't even call them battles they were just one shots and even then all the praise was always given to the S class heroes heroes that dont hold a candle to him as a fire burned inside saitama something he hadn't felt for years "what is this feeling?" he asked himself was this...Hatred? Jealousy? it hase been so long he doesn't even recognize does feelings anymore and decided to ignore them as he kept moving hearing childeren and adults greet even heroes of C rank and B rank heroes who are lower than him in power he went into the supermarkt seeing a sale which usually would cheer him up until some old lady toke the last product right infront of him as if he didnt stand there at all as if he was a ghost to her the hero sighed and just grabbed the more expensive deals unfortunately as he went to the cashier looking through his wallet to see if he hade enough to pay for the food he bought someone cut him in line taking his spot as saitama's rage builded even more that voice ringing through his head again " who would care if you did it? After everthing you did they ignore you! they dont care than why should you? this punk's behavior he could become a monster any day you have the power to stop him and none would have the power to stop you...KILL HIM!!!" the voice shouted Saitama giving into his own hatred and anger as he hit the man in the face killing him instantly as if he were a mere bug as there was silence people were horrified and shocked expression on there face but Saitama didnt feel any of that in fact he felt relief as if a lock that had been put around his neck for years hase finnaly been removed he could feel joy a small bit but he felt joy of killing someone that was weaker than him someone who was hopeless as the other customers ran away to the exit for safety Saitama in his insane speed stopped them a evil grin showing on his face as he slaughtered every last person in the store blood covering the entire store as he barely used any strenght to kill them as he spotted a child and his mother who were quivering in fear hiding in the corner saitama calmly walked tordes them his previosly yellow outfit now blood stained red his fist clenched tightly his eyes purely focused a evil smirk on his face as the child was wearing a KING shirt the man that saitama thought to be friend but in actuality he finnaly realised who KING truly was a coward who stole his credit and never owned up to it as the mother screamed in fear ''why? why are you doing this? arent you a hero?!"the mother screamed holding her child in protection as saitama got on one knee looking them in the eye "What is the point of being a hero if none cares for what you do? For all the lives you save..all the monsters you defeat none gives a damn..as a hero i was ignored i was pushed away into the background but worse becoming a hero made me lose part of what i was and so why not switch roles...i am just a villain for the sake of taking back my humanity" saitama stated as he grabbed the mother and child before killing them saitama walked out the store a smile on his face blood covering his suit as he held a bag with groceries the world was now reaching the prophecy the old hag talked about crisis will come to earth...One Punch Man hase hade enough of the world

the song for when saitama realizes that the only way to bring everyone together and to keep villains out.. is to become the villain himself, act the part, drive away the other monsters and give the heroes a reason to band together. he did not die a hero... so he must see himself become the villain.
I think this fits a particular recent moment in the manga, really, really well... I kinda wanna hear this version of the theme being used in one of the fan animations of that part.

His only option to test his immense strength was to see if he was the strongest villain. *"Whats power if you can't use it to get what you want..."* *"I am god"* He wiped out every human on the face of the earth. But he wasn't full. The emptyness was still there. Growing stronger with each punch. He moved on to other planets, solar systems, galaxies, Universes. Untill he was all that was left. *"Im still hungry"* In a fit of rage, he punched himself, killing him, but surviving at the same time. Shattering reality and all existamce that was and will come to be.
To quote the Master Daddyphatsnaps,, ahem, “This power coursing through me is nothing more than a curse... What you gonna do when I can jump to the moon? I’m poisoning my mental but to other deaths I’m immune... *I was dying for some validation, just a bit of admiration, now I rescue everybody else but myself* I am limitless, but traded my humanity And dream about the day I feel the agony.” That is but a small sample, and he really surprised me with this rap-it hit so deep. I feel like a lot of times we get caught up in the epic fights and comedy and don’t remember that Saitama is *suffering,* he just hides it so well. Kudos to the Master DPS for reminding me.

Genos is destroyed and Dr. Kuseno has nothing to repair him with. His body no longer responds to his efforts, and his power core is failing. His memories fade away slowly until he forgets everything. Tornado, Blackluster, Amai, Sonic... and eventually even Saitama. Everything he ever knew is now corrupted slowly until all that remains is bad code. Saitama realizes that this isn't something he can stop with a punch. His friend and student, now in shambles, slowly ebbing out. The enemy that did this is already dead, so there's nobody he can take vengeance upon. "Even with all this power... I feel so helpless." His friend is gone. And there's not a damn thing he can do...

This makes me wonder if the end of OPM is Saitama getting so obsessed with a getting a real challenge (like Boros) that he causes a ton of collateral damage without realizing it and becomes the "villain"... and Garou learns what it means to be a true hero... and has to stop and show him.

Fuck, I want One Punch Man to be gritty and serious where every fight brings him some kind of emotional pain he has to work through.
Effectively, it is. When you look deeper, it's a story about a man who has already completed the hero's journey and finds that at the end lies not happiness, but boredom and a lack of fulfilment. He spends his days looking for a challenge, anything to give him something to strive towards or meaning to his life and finds nothing. In terms of strength he is to people as people are to ants. There is no achievement in stepping on an ant, no goals completed, no glorious conquest. It is merely a mechanical repetition of a simple act he's performed hundreds if not thousands of times.
Saitama is a hero without purpose. This is why the most hard hitting scenes are not of Saitama fighting, but the struggles of other heroes like Genos and particularly Mumen Rider.
How would that happen if he can beat everyone in One Punch.

Metal Bat would find his bat broken after hitting Saitama and wouldn't get a single chance in a fight, since he would get one punched.
Zombieman would get vaporized in a single kick, without having time to regenerate any part of his body.

Drive Knight doesn't get to do anything with his Cyborg part.
Metal Knight (Bofoi) gets the same result as Drive Knight, but luckily he doesn't have to fight on his own, he could survive if hided.

Blast's power are quite unknown for now and no idea how strong he can be. I don't think he has a chance but he can probably be close to Boros or even better.
Genos knowing that he has 0% rate of winning, he'd just follow Saitama's step as he told him, with risk to be killed due to Saitama's new mindset.
Garou could be a real opponent if he breaks his limits too, but could he really be even close to equal? We don't know but the fight can only be a good experience.
No hate if anyone wants to comment, this is just my personal opinion on how it would happen ^^ nothing to take serious (even if some stuff could be actually right haha)

This so good so I am gonna make a story for it
One day a shape change villain type took genos's body and made a lot of damage in several cities the heroes thought that the real genos did that so genos became wanted also he couldn't get new body parts even the doctor doesn't trust him, so he tried his best surviving agains all S rank heroes but at the end he passed away and the last thing he said was "Saitama sensei" at that moment saitama was coming back from the store and he saw genos spelling his last words in front of him, saitama got a great emotional shock that all his emotions was back at once but most of it is sadness and hate toward the stupid hero community, in a moment of rage he decided to be the only hero on planet earth and the genocide has begin
I had this concept of some power stealing guy stealing Saitama's power, then an arc goes where this power stealing dude takes on the entire Hero Association and of course with saitama's power he's deemed invincible; it ends with Saitama still *trying* to stop the dude, even without whatever power he normally had, and Genos sacrificing himself to save Saitama. This sends Saitama into a blind rage... And he breaks his limit *again* and goes toe to toe with the power stealer, who keeps just absorbing Saitama's unlimited power over and over again, until eventually Saitama manages to land a punch and basically overcharge the dude's built up momentum, erasing him from existance.

Super cool thought. I've also thought about how ONE didn't add any "trump" powers to the series (defined as powers that break the game/flip the board)- stuff like mind control, power stealing/nullification- stuff that works around super strength instead of directly fighting it. Imagine a guy that puts a curse on Saitama that destroys any food that he approaches, causing Saitama to starve.
Then again, OPM is so cool because he's in a world without trump powers (that work on him).

Saitama wakes up once more from a restless night not even sleep can bring him peace anymore all he can do is dream to feel any kind of joy but even so those dreams were rare and even if they came often he was always woken up by his true enemy...Reality showing that at the cost of wanting power there were great consequences Saitama looks around his apartment seeing Genos was not there to greet him like usual along with asking for his advice like a sensei soon the caped baldy spotted a sticky note on the wall as Saitama got up to read it seeing that Genos got send onto a mission by the hero assoctian and he would be gone for long time wanting to make Saitama proud and reach the goal his master hade given him to become the number 1 S class hero but to saitama he didnt even care he was at home alone all that was left were himself and his thoughts as he thought back on the days when he was but a simple human the time he actually felt pain and misery as he now looks at his fist "Was it worth it?" a voice rang through his head yet saitama ignored its precense as he left his home putting on his hero outfit and going outside to do hero work as he saw people stare and ignore him as if he was a nobody even tho he hade saved his own city the world even countless times there was always someone else that toke the credit or none saw it happen even tho Saitama became a hero not for the attention he still felt betrayed that he was not getting even a shred of recognitzion he deserved as Saitama thought through his mind "i trained so hard i sacrificed a part of my myself...my hair to become a hero and even tho all i do is save people none cared was it all for nothing?"' that voice rang through his head again as he thought of the multiple battles he hade been in...no you couldn't even call them battles they were just one shots and even then all the praise was always given to the S class heroes heroes that dont hold a candle to him as a fire burned inside saitama something he hadn't felt for years "what is this feeling?" he asked himself was this...Hatred? Jealousy? it hase been so long he doesn't even recognize does feelings anymore and decided to ignore them as he kept moving hearing childeren and adults greet even heroes of C rank and B rank heroes who are lower than him in power he went into the supermarkt seeing a sale which usually would cheer him up until some old lady toke the last product right infront of him as if he didnt stand there at all as if he was a ghost to her the hero sighed and just grabbed the more expensive deals unfortunately as he went to the cashier looking through his wallet to see if he hade enough to pay for the food he bought someone cut him in line taking his spot as saitama's rage builded even more that voice ringing through his head again " who would care if you did it? After everthing you did they ignore you! they dont care than why should you? this punk's behavior he could become a monster any day you have the power to stop him and none would have the power to stop you...KILL HIM!!!" the voice shouted Saitama giving into his own hatred and anger as he hit the man in the face killing him instantly as if he were a mere bug as there was silence people were horrified and shocked expression on there face but Saitama didnt feel any of that in fact he felt relief as if a lock that had been put around his neck for years hase finnaly been removed he could feel joy a small bit but he felt joy of killing someone that was weaker than him someone who was hopeless as the other customers ran away to the exit for safety Saitama in his insane speed stopped them a evil grin showing on his face as he slaughtered every last person in the store blood covering the entire store as he barely used any strenght to kill them as he spotted a child and his mother who were quivering in fear hiding in the corner saitama calmly walked tordes them his previosly yellow outfit now blood stained red his fist clenched tightly his eyes purely focused a evil smirk on his face as the child was wearing a KING shirt the man that saitama thought to be friend but in actuality he finnaly realised who KING truly was a coward who stole his credit and never owned up to it as the mother screamed in fear ''why? why are you doing this? arent you a hero?!"the mother screamed holding her child in protection as saitama got on one knee looking them in the eye "What is the point of being a hero if none cares for what you do? the song for when saitama realizes that the only way to bring everyone together and to keep villains out.. is to become the villain himself, act the part, drive away the other monsters and give the heroes a reason to band together. he did not die a hero... so he must see himself become the villain.
I think this fits a particular recent moment in the manga, really, really well... I kinda wanna hear this version of the theme being used in one of the fan animations of that part.
