I think the astonishing thing about this fight is that in spite of every single thing... Saitama was *STILL HOLDING BACK.* Not only was he only fighting with one hand, but he was still deliberately choosing to not kill Garou so he could fulfill his promise.
That is just insane.
He was also putting a lot of effort into making sure Genos' core wasn't destroyed.
Also. Saitama doesn’t know any martial arts or proper technique. The dude has still so much potential

@@juanjuan5698I thought he's supposed to be as skilled as Garou in martial arts. Being able to copy his moves and learning really fast. But he just doesn't bother using any of them because of how strong he is anyways. I remember a panel in this fight where Garou points out Saitama is copying some of his moves just to taunt him.

Saitama DOES have some skill in martial arts at the very least, as seen in the OVA episode before he became overpowered, but he never was anything close to a talented martial arts prodigy like Garou and Bang. In fact, the series constantly reminds us that Saitama was born a completely normal, average guy but only wields god-like power because of the fact that he broke his limiter.
The reason he was able to copy Garou's time travel technique was because as Garou had described it, he was able to _"master the power of God without taking its hand"_
As well as the fact that Saitama's strongest ability is not his unlimited physical strength.. but *pure cartoonish bullshittery* which even infinite physical strength should NOT be able to let him do (being able to grab portals, break into spiritual dimensions, etc.). He's likely a living incarnation of the term those annoying powerscalers like to throw around to "debunk" characters with unlimited fighting potential, which is *"No Limits Fallacy".* If Saitama truly is, it will be proven once he fights God and casually beats down who is being hyped up by the manga as an omnipotent, all-powerful being.
With Saitama’s growth, maybe he can finally tickle that mosquito from Season 1 💀

Tbh I think the only reason Saitama failed to kill the mosquito was it's size. The sheer tininess of the mosquito caused Saitama to be unable to focus all of his power into one single concentrated spot in the air, and his immense strength then back-fired on him: His power is so strong that it gets dispersed into the surroundings when it emits from his punch, causing the strength that actually struck the mosquito to be less than an average person, thus rendering Saitama unable to kill not just mosquitoes but perhaps tiny things in general. You can see how easily Saitama killed the mosquito queen (or whatever it's called) later on, which Genos couldn't-the target was way larger then. Frankly I'd be interested to see if Saitama really cannot kill things too tiny, because if my theory is actually correct then Saitama's weakness may have been just discovered

One of my favorite transitions at 4:44. We go from Saitama looking down at Garou with the eye of Jupiter in the background to a wide shot showing how big Jupiter is compared to Io. In the initial scene Saitama is clearly associated with Jupiter and Garou with Io with the panel evenly split between them, but then the change in perspective shows just how laughable the comparison is. Good foreshadowing for the fight ahead and simultaneously establishing its setting.

6:49 just to drive home how absurd this move is:
The name is Omnidirectional Serious Punch,it’s a single punch with dozens of after images making it look like it’s coming from everywhere. When Saitama punched him in the portal he didn’t follow Garou,HE WAS ALREADY ON THE OTHER SIDE(you can even see him in the split second Garou opens the portal). The crazy thing is that he was moving so fast that he was faster than teleportation,he probably saw Garou opening a portal and ran around the moon to find the other side and punched him right back to where he was trying to scape from. Because of that this is my favorite serious move of him so far.
That or he probably snuck in while he opened it super quickly and waited for him to realize, which i think is a funny theory. Not that he cant do both lol.

Garou's problem is that he copies techniques. Which works great against people who rely on technique. Saitama does not use technique. Saitama uses pure, raw, power.

@@kiratwo4u how do you figure? He faced Saitama a couple of times without even knowing it and got his butt handed to him for his trouble. Once in the market (karate chop) and once when he thought to attack King (kick) Just like when he faced Guard Dog or whatever that hero's name is. He couldn't identify the technique, so he couldn't copy it. It was only when he focused on raw power that he began managing to hold his own with Saitama. But even then, he still had limits and Saitama has no limit.
One of my most favorite minor details is at 2:16 where King is using his body to shield the sisters. Even while powerless, King still has a heroes instinct to protect others in spite of how afraid he is all the time and thinks he can do nothing.
He and mumen rider are the only true heroes (saitama also)

The thing I really like about Saitama isn’t how strong he is, but it’s how practical he is. He will only fuck around with flashy moves whenever he’s trying to prove a point. Other than that he’s going to go straight to the most efficient move he can to just end the fight
And during all of this, he had a soft grip on Genos Core. Dude literally fought himself and won whith a single hand while controlling the strength of his other hand to not destroy a piece of metal

i love how at one point, the concept of winning for garou is no longer defeating saitama, but just getting away from him.

the part at 12:36 reminds me of Kungfu Hustle's ending, when Sing (the main character) intentionally missed his 2nd Buddha's Palm strike, but his palm was held close enough to The Beast's face that he understood that Sing spared his life

Beautiful animation man! Everything from the artistic style, graphics, character motions, VFX was done excellently. I particularly liked the part with Saitama in the rain and the background music playing. The Earth, Jupiter and space depictions and animations were also superb. Loved the animation at the part where Saitama farted and punched Garou to Earth, top notch! Keep up the awesome work. Happy to know that if the real animation isn't good, we can look to you for great ones!

Jesus Christ man, this isn't my first time watching this masterpiece yet I'm still speechlessly impressed and amazed by the quality of it...it's currently 1am+ here and my brain isn't in the state to dig up bombastic words from my vocab bank to praise this but if I had the energy and time I really would. The quality, details, accuracy and so many more aspects were absolutely NAILED. Honestly I've never seen fan animations soo good it can rival the original. The original humour and animation style, and the badass aura of Saitama and everything were perfectly captured, while the special effects were absolutely amazing too-you can't really even find any imperfections out of it. My fatigue is limiting me from continuing to yap cliche choices of words on how well done this animation is but seriously, ONE would've been proud to see this himself, I daresay. Absolute masterpiece there RedHairedGuy.
