A few mistakes & suddenly he's "finished", crazy how everyone turned on him. He's gotta try and be respectful and go with the tactic that'll get them talking - a lot of players take themselves very seriously and all of them are guarded and media trained tf. Being over familiar with them is gonna get their backs up straight away.
Rodri’s understanding of the game is second to none. The way he controls matches. Now he’s started adding more goals to his arsenal. Not every Jim and Jack execute what Rodri does. I’m sure that’s why Arteta went on to get Declan Rice cause he needed someone different to try this role after he tried it with Partey numerous occasions. Don’t get me wrong, Partey is quality, absolutely. But in football you have to get the basics right all the time. You have to use your intelligence/understanding and your technical abilities.
Rodri is different as he doesn’t suit any team, he’s perfect for the way Pep plays but I do think Partey could play well for any side in Europe. He’s more agile and skillful than Rodri in my opinion but I love them both, there is not much between them
