The best football interview I think I've ever seen. When it finished I found myself saying 'wow' a rolls royce of an interview. Zinchenko speaks incredibly well, with the passion he plays with on the pitch. Honest, insightful and you can tell he always wants to learn and improve. Rio asked some brilliant questions and got the best out of him. Top top work! Zinchenko has really gone up in my estimations after this. As an Arsenal fan, he is someone you want in your team but after this, he is someone you really want to be mates with. Thankyou FIVE team

I love players who run their butts off and play for the badge every minute, you can tell from their work ethic and how they celebrate goals for and against, how they celebrate wins, etc... But the beauty about players like Gabby and Bernardo is that they're not just headless chickens like Gallagher, they are intelligent and have amazing abilities on the ball, rarely losing possession. Thread 🧵
      I Love him. But.
Arsenal struggle BAD in 1st phase of build up when the opp Front 3 are narrow.
      It DOES matter if it’s 2 or a wide 3 or a narrow 3.
Or if the Opp are sitting or pressing in a 4-4-2, 4-5-1, 3-5-2, 4-3-3 wide or narrow, 3-4-3, 5-4-1, 5-3-2.
You are always meant to have 1 more player than the opp centrally. (If you want to build up).
So if the Opp have 2 up top then you need 3.
Just like your always meant to have 1 more back for defensive transitions.
So, if the opp go 4-4-2, then they have 2 up top and 2 in central midfield. You combat this with the ‘M’ 3-2-5. This is what Arsenal and it works Vs a 4-4-2.
If the Opp sit or press in a 4-5-1 or a 4-3-3 wide then they have 1 up top and 3 in central midfield. So you combat that by going into the ‘W’. 2-3-5.
If the opp sit or press in a 5-4-1 then they have 1 up top and 2 centrally. Then you go 2-2-6. To combat that.
When the opp sit or press in a 4-3-3 narrow like Brentford and Southampton at home last year (off the top of my head) then this is where the Problem happens.
It’s a problem Every single time it happens.
Now it’s happens again Vs Monaco.
Arteta doesn’t change it from game to game.
      Just sticks with the ‘W’ 3-2-5 & the ‘M’ 2-3-5.
They Don’t do anything about the other formations the opp set up with.
2 things they need to do.
If they still wanna build up then zinc needs to Stay wide and not invert.
Then if The right winger is inside then it has left zinc with soo much space again.
It’s the only way to combat it.
      They need to WAKE UP.
      Tactical inept.
can’t keep doing the same thing and expect different results.
Fans ain’t gonna put up with it.

Zinnnnnnyyyyy!!!!!! slava Ukraini!!! 💛💙💛💙 What a CLASS human for The Arsenal! ❤🤍 You are a Hero to me. Have been following you since your Shaktar, and what a joy to have you at my favorite club. I was taring up the Eredivisie with you and Kovalenko in FIFA16. I was always paying attention to Shevchenko and Ukraine since I was a young lad. Much respect to the dedication, passion, and consistency that radiates from your great country. My heart beats blue for the countless travesties occurring in your Homeland. For Rio, I appreciate such a legend as yourself putting your club rivalries aside to use your platform to interview this amazing man. You made me a fan of your game when you were distressing the Arsenal attackers, but today I am a fan of the man. I will be following and supporting from the PNW of the US. I wish all good health and happiness.

That’s why we got timber. When a more physical athletic presence is needed well use him, if we need tactical masterclass with beautiful passes into the final 3rd then we got zinny. Tierney just doesn’t cut it, he’s too one dimensional.

@@Shelsight I was at Anfield when TAA sent Zinchenko to the shops that left him crying again while you no doubt in your mothers basement getting breast fed by her desperately thinking of some excuses for the only defender in the EPL who can't defend.
Fortunately for the bottlers he'll now be doing what he done at City for 3 years as in warming the bench after Arteta's finally signed a proper defender in Timber

Why are you so mad, Andy? That personal hatred is absolutely unnecessary. Can’t you agree that Zinchenko is a great football player, and a humble, intelligent person? Did he hurt you on some level, and now you can’t get over it? Wanna share what happened? It’s really pathetic, sad and very unhealthy to be such a hater. Get well, buddy.
