- Andy Williams........Try To Remember.
Try to remember the kind of September
When life was slow and oh, so mellow
Try to remember the kind of September
When grass was green and grain was yellow
Try to remember the kind of September
When you were a tender and callow fellow
Try to remember and if you remember then follow (follow)
Follow
Try to remember when life was so tender
That no one wept except the willow
Try to remember when life was so tender
That dreams were kept beside your pillow
Deep in December, it's nice to remember
The fire of September that made us mellow
Try to remember and if you remember then follow (follow)
Follow (follow)

Still listening in 2023! Music is timeless like Andy’s voice. Part of my youth. ❤
I grew up in a village in rural Quebec, with green grass and yellow grain. Thinking back, it's hard to even conceive of the innocence and carefree nature of my soul at the time. I'm sixty now, by all accounts a success in life, living in a large urban center with every amenity greed could desire but I'd trade it all for that feeling of being six and waking up to a glorious sun over a corn field...
Andy Williams possessed arguably the purest singing voice of any male vocalist who ever lived. Dang. Even his falsetto was as smooth as butter! Simply magnificent. Tragically, music will never be this good (or wholesome/classy) again.
That honour goes to Perry Como. You should hear his version of this beautiful song. Better than Andy Williams by a mile.
@@raygray7779 You're free to have your opinion, but to state it as being better "by a mile", reduces your credibility. They are both amazing takes on the song. No need to compare.
He was undeniably great but my argument settles with Johnny Mathis !!!###
@@JohnnyNationThe correct answer is Jerry Orbach
Just let 'em sing, they're all good or they wouldn't be on the air!
Mom this was the first song i remember you singing to me. When I hear Andy sing this it's not his voice I hear. I only hear yours. And I can feel your warm smile. For all time... the tackiest song or so I thought will connect me to you forever and ever... i love you. Thank you for the gift of music. You gave to me.
Beautiful tribute to your mom.
What will remember this December about September . Will we think of prayers being being said for God to rescue us from the turbulent times ahead of us?
My Mom & Dad loved this song...I was a child listening to Andy back then. I loved all the crooners of that day...they were all so affable and funny...and Truly loved America...Where---has it all gone?
Andy Williams had a golden tone voice.😀
This ranks among the best versions of this classic song.
this is the closest to "salow and tender" that I can find. I am thinking of covering this, but I cant find a slow drag version. every version has a swing. A march. the singers unlimited is the other version.
So sad
Yes
Great singing by Andy here! Rest in peace, Mr. Williams.
I was in love with him from kindergarten on.. And Christmas wasn't Christmas without his specials!
Same generation as Bob Dylan - and both were popular - what an interesting time
This song reminds me of growing up, the good old days. I miss those days so much!!!!
I loved the singing voice of Andy Williams, loved his singing of ballads!

I believe this was in 1965 on Andy's show. A beautiful time that will never return. We Boomers had it the best!
So beautiful
Right, the official name is The Netherlands and is use in and by official documents and talks. In not official ways mostly the name Holland is used in Europe, but also in Asian countrys the speak a lot more about Holland then about The Netherlands.
What beautiful memories ❤
Wonderful.
I love it
Makes me nostalgic.
Thus September will be indeed to remember for the whole Earth.
Very high probability that Jesus Christ will step back into human affairs, but this time not as a tiny baby or a gentle carpenter turning the other cheek...
A mighty judge for this sick world.
The probability that Jesus Christ will soon return is exactly 0.00%

The probability that the World Trade Center complex would collapse within hours was at 0.00% also on September 10th.
Oh, shut up, you tedious bible-thumper. You make us all look bad.
Wonderful. From Ireland ☘️
