Audrey Hepburn was one of the most lovable actresses of all time. Her movies are wonderful even today. I can't say that about a lot of old movies that seemed great then, but don't stand up to the test of time.
She was a brave girl in the Netherlands during World War Two. She ran errands for the local resistance during right under the vicious rule of the German occupation.
It is so sad that the so called younger generation has missed out on so much.. like this great movie and so much more that we the older generation had in the 60's & 70's.
This was such a great movie, funny, romantic, and sad, all at the same time. Reminds you of how beautiful falling in love can be and the heart aches that follows. All the years go by, you wonder what happened to your love story when you loved with such passion. They are all gone now.
Audrey Hepburn was not known for her vocal prowess. Yet it didn't matter that she could barely sing "Moon River" because she brought beauty, a bit of innocence, and genuine feeling to the piece. A winning combo.
