Also, if you're reading this, thank Berilio. He is basically on day 5 of his work week and is just now starting the video for Book Club. He will be taking a hard earned nap as soon as it's finished. This is why we don't do multiple episodes a week.

@@renebaan7430 Not as ashamed as your parents are of you.
@@renebaan7430 yeah? did you miss the Poorhammer folks also saying how much of a non-controversy the whole femstodes dilemma was last episode?
If you were hurt by Bricky's words, then you were the target repicient of those words. The 40k fanbase is wide and varied, stop trying to pretend there's a supermajority that all collectively hate the recent change.
How would you fix admech? What should Admechs gameplay identity even be?
@Sercotani I hate the current rules... they fucked them up bad. What happend to them feeling like they are all characters...
Next I would like to see Eric and Dk host an episode of adeptus ridiculous as they try to lie to the other to convince them they know the lore
And we get a third episode where Shy and Berrillio debate whether it is better to be loved or feared.
And Shy only communicates in text and memes so it's just Berrillio giggling to himself the entire episode
@onyxowlgaming Berilio: please send help. They've had me in the basement for months. I haven't eaten or slept in weeks.
Shy: DancingGecko.mp4
God, I would pay hypothetical money for this hypothetical scenario
Unfortunately, April 1st was just a few weeks ago. Remind them next February.
Eric had to return to his home planet. They needed him.
And hopefully didn't die during his journey.
He's searching for his missing hammers
Everytime Eric’s not on the podcast, all the other characters should be asking “where’s Eric?”
Bring back Poochie!
Titan needs him; he’s the only one who remembers where the hammers are.
Thank you Burellio for sacrificing your soul to the Emperor this week
Same. Thank you, Burellio.
To back eric a bit: I really enjoy how eric engages with the hobby, and with brad. Its okay to be a more """casual""" player, painter, and lore consumer. He is the everyman.
We all love Eric, but we also love to poke fun at him.
Nothing ruins your army like playing a game with it, so I respect the people who will never roll dice.
eric is the simple lovable golden retriever of the podcast to Brads incredibly cynical and monotone evil genius cat vibes, they make a great dynamic

Just wait for the full index reveal Admech
Just wait for the first dataslate Admech
Just wait for your codex Admech
Just ignore your 3 months of unplayability post codex Admech
Just wait for the next dataslate Admech!
Ok we didn’t do rules changes this time but next time we totally will!
At this point trying to convince fellow Admech players this isn’t a lost cause is pointless.
Praise the Copemessiah
you're forgetting like everything that was 3 months after the 9th codex too
iv been trying to tell people to boycot admech for a while now
but addicts are addicts
@@return4887It’s been multiple years since the brief time that AdMech was busted, too, though. Like, one of AdRic’s first episodes was AdMech and that was when AdMech were really good.
We're not unplayable. Just expensive.
The fucking thumbnail is incredible.
That's not a thumbnail. That is art and belongs in a museum!

113 releasing before 112 ? ORIKAAAAAAAAAAN WHAT DID YOU DO AGAIN ?
The AoS point changes always say how much the units points changed.
dumb thought for a meme joke objective marker. Have one of them be a big beefy looking vault door with a name plate on it saying Grey Knight Hammer Vault and under that have a note or something saying that the door is not functional.
Thanks Burellio, your the best editor I've seen on youtube.
It would have been great if you made them a pot and kettle.
As the Aeldari representative, we wish you peace with regards to your previous interactions with our people. Our methods may seem strange. If we didn't regularly generate hate then GW would forget us forever. Then the game would finally devolve into empire vs chaos.
finally huh... that sounds so unimaginably boring. Xenos have received lots of love, GW would never forget us!
Necrons and Orks had their turn. It's time for Eldar to get theirs.
@@Sercotaninot enough love
The one who thirsts is always famished.
Aeldari are the hidden heroes. They were made by gods at the pinnacle of this war.
Boring? No. But you definitely are just another puppet of the warp just like your “weekend at Bernie’s” emperor.
Better to be a xeno than a superstitious Terran that continues to be the easiest target for warp corruption.
Yeah I love being the hated faction, but I just want some new models. I've been using literal painted toy spiders as warp spiders for too long now.
it already is dont lie to yourself
@JacoDeltaco I think 6th or 7th edition ally chart was alarmingly close to allowing it to be empire vs chaos. Eldar lore changes everytime a new writer gets its hands on in because they have no endgame for them to be working towards. Until then we're testing ground for new mechanics players will either hate to have or hate to play against and then become normal in the next edition.
For anyone wondering, the custodes changes (compared to the January dataslate) are as follows:
Trajann went down 10, to 150
Aleya went down 5, to 75
Valerian went down 5, to 110
the Blade Champion went down 10, to 110
the venerable contemptor dreadnought went down 15, to 170
And yes, the dread can still get back up after dying the first time.
I thought I was remembering right on it showing everything green but most of them didn't change from the last points, just from the codex no-one trusted the points of. But they've also taken a bunch of nerfs.
@@TOOTHBRUSHDUCK Yeah they're showing from the Codex to the new dataslate, Orks also had this where a lot of stuff didn't go down in points compared to the previous dataslate but the Codex had pre-January points costs in it (Kans costing 290 for 6 instead of 250 for example).
Tyranid Monsters continue to drop because gw forgot to give the faction any ability to damage tanks or survive anything stronger than a plasma gun.
Invasion fleet feels like it shouldve been our army rule tbh. Shadow in the warp is at best, a detachment rule. If it was a singular detachment you could have enhancements and strats purely focused on BS
@@iharpo9292 I mean the only reason shadow in the warp is so terrible is because they got rid of the psychic phase. Really makes no sense GW would make so many new brain bugs in an edition with no casting.
Seriously tho. The best AT we've got is Old One Eye and his 2 best friends, and they only have a pretty decent chance at killing a Leman Russ (most of that damage comes from old one eye himself).
@@tylerchadwell1267I mean Tyrannofex has a 2 shot ws 2 Strength 18 Ap-4 2d6 gun
@corrackisdead yeah, which is terrible lmao.
As an Eldar player I want the Poorhammer crew to know they're loved ❤.
If I remember right, at start of 10th, they said that dataslate will be every half year, while point balance will be every quarter year. (opposite to what has been at end of 9th)
And then there always seemed to be a problem that needed to be solved with dataslate, so they used them every time.
This matches my recollection as well.
10th has been weird, but being a little simpler from the outset did make it easier for me to convince my friends to actually get into the game with me for the first time.
Honestly that's why me and my group Aren't playing 10e. It's far to simple for army rules, but a lot of micro management BS for game rules
I remember the good ol days of like 4 months ago.
Jam a bunch of Noise Marines into Nurgle Rhinos, have a Helbrute nearby to get them cutting on 5's, and destroy the world with Rock and Roll.
Smelly, Disgusting Rock and Roll.
And rape, don’t forget the rape.
Holy shit the burn to Eric is amazing 😂
Thanks for calling out the Reductus Saboteur's absurd kit, Bricky. I never get tired of my opponents' growing disbelief as I list her abilities. It used to be even cheaper earlier in the edition.
Thank you Burellio for all the sacrifices Brad forces you to make, as token of my appreciation, i'll give you a trick, whenever you want to make Brad feel bad, remind him of what happened to Prospero
Burellio is my Patron Saint, and it's his choice what of. I'll be burning Nurgle candles until a suitable alternative is provided.
If it's Nurgle candles, I'm not sure you'll live that long, brother.
Is this a reminder that dried poop burns?
Thank you Berelio for all your editing hard work.
Thank you for actually getting his name right.
I've been scrolling through the comments and I think I've seen more "Burellio" than anything. But hey, at least he's recognised for his hard work and probably shortening his life every so often 😅
Bricky was definitely thinking of Helltaker when Brad messed up Azrael’s name
i thought of Warhammer Fantasy, where Azazel is a daemon prince (?) of Slaanesh
I'll be real with you "buffing" units by making them cheaper just nerfs your bank account.
Thanks Berilio, and remember to blink twice at us if you need help
Out of three games I play (Conquest, Warhammer, Dystopian Wars) Warhammer is the only one to not have fully digital rules.
I would really prefer if they still had the option for physical rules. I dislike looking at PDFs or apps on my phone for rules, I wish they'd release the digital ones, do balance updates based on play, then release all the codices at once.
The hydra is amazing, my pair of hydras killed belakor is one round of shooting.
The deamon player was significantly less amused than I
My points did not change I am happy
1:19:30
The invasion fleet strat for 5+ crits is MELEE ONLY
Remember that people
So many people try to use it for ranged
In World Eaters, the fun units went down, the good units stayed normal.
Let us all take moment of silence for Burelio may he some day be freed from Brad's editing chamber
i threw 2 keeper of secrets against a 6 man squad of meganobz and only killed 2 of them.
idk what happened man. they managed to kill one with the slap back too.
Well you made the mistake of rolling up on da 'ardest orks with snakey, wiggly skinny gitz.
No self-respecting Orks is gonna die to something like that.
It needs to be 'uge and strong or have loads of dakka to convince orks to die.
I was high on that copium that AdMech was gonna go down on points this dataslate. I was on a trip with the boys when through a mostly soundproof room they heard my scream of hatred.
Admech dont need to go down to 2 dollars per point of army you get, they need a complete rules redo.
Warmachine went to free digital rules years ago. Just pick the datacards you want and download the pdf
GW has lost all good faith it had with the AdMech community. They said they'd be working on our datasheets for this update. They didn't. Then they mock us by saying, "lul you're not a horde" while designing us as the THE Imperium horde army now. And that's not even to talk about the money costs, unfun army rules, etc.
It's completely unacceptable.
If you bought every Ad Mech discount and gift from the past 2 editions, you only barely have 2000 points, and that’s after some points bumps
GW has been dropping the ball for certain armies lately in 40k while Orks got a stunning codex. Custodes got crap, like Necrons got a good codex while Ad-mech got crap. This worries me for AoS 4th edition....
Since the creation of the first of the ten thousand, admech have always been a horde army.
@@beauaadams153Orks have a really great player/community that are way more positive than what the Imps of Man bring. Like the Terran faction brings in the most bitter vets I’ve ever seen in a game.
@@beauaadams153Crons codex isnt even stellar, theres a lot of poor design in it, it's just *strong*.
The issue with Guard is twofold. We have a detachment ability not worth the paper it's written on, and we have maybe a dozen incredible players skewing our statistics, despite the majority of IG players having a 46% or less win rate at COMPETITIVE tables. Forget that IG have a huge casual fanbase who's games are not and never will be reflective of what's competitive.
Now GW added a third problem. The points increases were made because of the previously mentioned dozen players. The tens of thousands of guard players struggling at casual tables - because the core, thematic units of the IG are bad - now have to suffer even more because of a change caused by less people than I have fingers and toes. This should NOT be how 'balancing' is done with the IG.
TL;DR - The IG nerf was made to stop an extremely small number of IG pros competing at top tables, and GW made the tens of thousands of other IG players pay for it, despite them struggling.
THANK YOU EDITOR!
surprise poorhammer episode?!!?! and with bricky?!?! A most welcome release.
Hot take (haven’t listened yet) - I’m in love with what they did to Thousand Sons. I feel like I can play something other than “Magnus plus Rubric and character spam” now.
I just had an awesome game today using new points where I had a vortex beast, a lascannon/missile helbrute, and a daemon prince on foot. They formed a wrecking ball that went up the opposite side of the board as Magnus and seriously did as much work as he did. Maybe even more work.
Used doombolt every turn from the Prince (who got to hit at 36 inches with the beast, and got a cabal point refund from the Helbrute), and then the Prince gave the beast and Helbrute -1 to hit while they shot anti-tank shots down range ripping apart the Sisters armor.
The green from Custodes is a trick they went down from the codex it didn't go down from the field Manuel. Only some hqs dropped in points none of the troops . Considering losing devwounds protection last time tanked the win rate, and we lost way more then that now the win rate is looking grim.
It's good to see Burellio's work being paid in exposure
Brad: And Eric said-
Bricky: Nothing, you heretics! Eric’s dead; he’s locked in my basement!
Brad: Haha!
Seeing battle reports about the custodes detachments almost wipe the opponent army but lose by 5 points tells me everything I need to know about what custodes players are used to.
Thank you oh all mighty Burellio
The big thing with the Dreadmob was that got hit without any points costing stuff. The Grot Tanks going to Legends did a number on Dreadmob because they were, by far, the best Rokkit Spam unit you could take with 9 Rokkit Launchas and D3 shots, strength 9, damage 3, -2 AP and a free 'scoot away if enemy is getting close' and then giving them all either Lethal Hits, Sustained hits or -2 AP on Crit wounds PLUS having blast meant they could absolutely chew through things, especially when combined with Bigger Shells for Bigger Gits strat, meaning they were wounding almost everything on 4s and +1 damage if you were willing to go hazardous.
Switching to Killa Kans means you only get 6 Rokkit launchas and their new special ability is kind of ass (33% chance to just cause D6 wounds on the unit in exchange for +1 strength (not that useful apart from wounding toughness 5 or 2s instead of 3s but really not worth the risk) or +1 attacks (useful and makes them stronger than Grot tanks but, again, 33% chance to roll that option).
Also the fact that Deff Dreads are still not able to squad up, meaning you can have, at most, 3 per list is a bit of meh thing (should have been 1-3 options, want mah 9 Deff Dreads). So yeah, overall before the Legends nerf Dread Mob was looking as both a good 'For Fun' detachment AND highly competitive, probably competing with Bully Boys as the top 'competitive pick' at the moment but after the legends nerf it slid down to just under Bully Boys but above Green Tide and Kult of Speed.
Now this is all white room mathshammer stuff, how they work on the tabletop and especially piloted by people who are highly skilled, things may work out differently. Also I will point out that a good 90% of Grot tanks were not the Forgeworld models but Kitbashed from cheap toy tanks, almost NOBODY bought the Forgeworld models because they were £85 for 4, when you could get £10 for 4 using a specific toy tank box (if you've seen kitbashed grot tanks, you know the one).
Please keep in mind that Legends is legal in everything *except* official tournament stuff, and official tournament play is the vocal minority of players, with most games being friendly "Local" stuff, and with official tournament style play being the worst part of the game. The fun Ork stuff is still there (unlike Sister Celestians, which don't have a Legends profile, they were just deleted entirely but the box still says they can be made as Celestians and the new updated webstore still says they can be made as Celestians), you just can't take it 200 miles away to a place where everyone smells like sweat and gas station hotdogs.
Thanks to Berellio, Brad, and Bricky putting in the time for this last minute episode. I wanna say as an admech player, I bought some blades of khorne models off a guy at my lgs. That's where I'm at with admech. I didn't just change armies, I changed games. I have more hope for AoS 4th than I do the future of 40k.
Top tier thumbnail!
As a 'Nids player, it's at best a gesture to recognise that we suck that they pushed most of the bottom up and at worst not really giving a shit about us, but to then nerf one of the four units that's carrying half our WR% (the other half is the Biomine strat alone) was basically kicking the beggar kid in the balls after handing him food, which he then drops 'cause he just got kicked in the balls.
It would be funnier if we weren't one of the like bottom three factions.
Gotta keep nid kid hungry. It fits with the faction’s aesthetic.
Weshammer, poorhammer and lutein09 all releasing videos in a 6 hour window today makes me very happy
"It feels like we've been in 10th for longer than a year" Is the understatement of the decade. Blergh.
Poorhammer, This is fantastic! I subscribed right away!
Tried out Horde mode on a map that was a bit too small.
Eldar, Space Marines, and Necrons against Tyranids.
We won, and it was challenging, but not too challenging. Nobody took an L, but all of my buddy's Terminators died, Reanimation protocols came in clutch several times, and Maugan Ra and his Dark Reapers absolutely swept Gene Stealers, Leapers, and countless other bugs off the board.
Reinforcement rolls landed us some pretty big gains. Nobody rolled less than a 7 for reinforcements, and the Space marines rolled a 12, and didn't have anything to reinforce with, so we let him bring in his knight. It was SO cool.
It's worth noting that those win rates include 'kitchen table' games and the head of the balance team was running Necrons at tournaments.
Thank you Burellio, your time and effort are valued hope you appear on the podcast more regularly
Thanks, Burellio

Admech hopium: They've realized we just aren't buying or playing and are going to give us emergency Myrmidons when the plastic Heresy range launches. I don't think they'd go further than that as a patch, but I think if there was a Knight detachment we'd all just be happily painting Canis Rex right now.
Obrigado Berílio, agora volta para a Masmorra. ❤

Didn't expect a random poorhammer episode on Sunday at 3 am
So, with Bricky in the thumbnail... 90 minutes of merch advert I assume?
A late night Poorhammer episode drop? It’s a little late to start painting but I guess I’ll make an exception!
I’m so happy that brickey has Votann, it’s nice to get a little representation!
As an Eldar player I would like to apologize for our brethren who can't take a good ribbing every now and then, and that I would agree with the point on there needing a revamp on the Eldar lore, as there's a lot of potential that is underutilized in my opinion and right now it's pretty shit when your favorite faction is GW's go to punching bag for an obligatory power scaling tool or just making them look stupid with their decision making skills as SEERS OF FATE...it frustrates me to no end.
I did not expect Brad and Bricky teaming up on Eric this episode. Pretty funny.
Good work Berelio, quick turn around from SS podcast!
Thank you Berilio
Was hyped for this as soon as I saw bricks video
So I primarily run CSm, ever since i got the Ravaged Star army kickstarter pledge, it's all I've played and I've consistently run a helbrute, a vindicator and some havocs. I do not like the idea of three vindicators hahaha, that type of spam makes me sick to my stomach.
The helbrute aura wouldn't give you both stages of 5's to hit granting both, it depends on what mark the unit has of which is in the aura's effect, for instance, Helbrute with mark of tzeentch would get his 5's to lethal to shoot but 6's for sustained (as nurgle gives sustained on hit in shooting). (Abaddon is the exception as is considered as having all marks and undivided.)
I've pulled the helbrute next to a single vindicator with a mark of nurgle so it's demolisher cannon ends up churning out a boatload of sustained hits on 5's and some lethals on 6's, it ends up being quite an efficient little bomb.
Ive typically run 2 squads of cultists as 10 mans as mark of nurgle, for purely ranged really. The idea of a melee tarpit big blob with dark commune sounds real annoying to deal with. The character in legends being the 'rogue psyker' i played once before the 'dark obscuration' nerf was hysterical. One of the most unshakeable untouchable ranged units i've ever played with.
I love me my havocs, Ive typically run them all with lascannons with either MoN or undivided to aid in their initial hitting, but am gonna give the MoT with autocannons havocs a spin, them posted on a building to get the benfits of plunging fire, makes these guys seem reaaaal juicy.
Maulerfiend dropping heaps is real exciting, i've also almost always had a forgefiend in a list standing next to a helbrute so it absolutely goes wild when it shoots, but the maulerfiend mark of slaanesh paired with unnatural swiftness for this point cost makes this thing a real cool threat. You're right on the money when it comes to the flying daemon prince of khorne, it's about the only one that makes the most benefit using the talisman of burning blood. The Slaanesh one with the FnP enhancement is nice but the khorne one is the most killy. I think they definitely need another look over in terms of loadouts, they should get ridiculous weapon loadouts to make em truly versatile, here's hoping it comes true in the codex.
The tau also only have 4 detachments.
Havocs + helbrute was already really strong, as a man who owned 15 havocs I was a big fan but it kinda ends up being kinda dull just pointing and deleting stuff
Huge props to the editor, ty for your sacrifice
The main problem of BA index, that ba has decent rule, +2s and 1 A on charge. To run melee units that can benefit from this army rule you need either transport or jump packs. And when any good jump pack combo cost around 400 pst. You start thinking. What the f< ok I`musing transports, then you think when you use transport there is lesser amount of units that benefit from this army rule, In the end You just switch detachment which is can benefit all of the army.
My two army’s. Custodes and Deathwatch. Have over 3k in both. Kinda feeling burned this edition.
I feel your pain, nids deathwatch and firstborn marines are mine
I think no one is noticing sisters being one of the top armies is because no one plays them. We are very expensive, hard to paint and actually hard to play.
Thanks burellio i hope they rewarded you with at least an hour of seeing the sunlight before putting you back in the basement
If the ork lists are too much an issue, I wonder if they can do any emergency points adjustments when they do the Tau points in a few weeks? Thanks Bourellio!
I played at an event yesterday (Arc 40k) and my last opponent (great guy) was running an entirely grot tank list. His entire custom converted, beautifully painted army got legends'd
For swarmlord context even in army:
Maleceptor is a similar profile for 170 with +1T +4W and a aura6 that weakens enemies for extra defense
Swarmlord has slightly more attacks but without strike/sweep and has 2 other armies slightly altered enchants built in (+55 points total) and their own lynchpin (gives any nid snypase9, but as tyrants already are base synapse you can cut that by 5 for snyapse keyword itself and then to a third for how much of a improvement it is so extra +5).
So if you could build-a-nid like in 3rd ed, a maleceptor as currently is or a emptied tyrant would still be a superior swarmlord for 10 points cheaper or the same respectively.
THIS IS A CHARACTER THAT IN LORE CUT APART BANEBLADES TRYING TO KILL A BLUEBERRY YET LOSES TO TANKS IT COSTS MORE THAN (he loses to a regular walking tyrant if put in melee he costs 20 less than because that walk tyrant can at least has 5+++>4+++ bss).
Just give gargamel the current nightbringer points and sheet with innate FNP replaced with "steals all other tyrant and epic hero models _insert keyword that sounds nid like and means something like "Biosemiotic"_ ability and any enhancement" if that unit was deployed first battle round and died while he is in reserved" and then tag each signature ability (leapers fear aura, one eyes regen, tyrants assault aura, id argue flyers wings but parox is ok too, synapse jellies from neuro and something for each norn) with that keyword and spead the vect and 1cp somehow across the tyrants. Oh and give the norns the tyrant keyword already, im tired of pretending they arent just objective sitter hive tyrants in a more expensive box.
Congrats on 100k. Enjoy your play button!
Thank you Berilio!
It truly is baffling how much they hate flyers, Deathwatch and Forgeworld
(Full speculation ahead)
If Forgeworld is a separate team within GW - and they want to shutter that department - I can at least see the business explanation.
Tyranid player here, I personally like to use synaptic nexus the most, it's my favorite because it improves on the shadow of the warp which is a part of the army I wish we better and the detachment somewhat helps with that
"My special co-host... Bricky?" Bricky: "hi"
36:27 don’t worry, the blank background really sells the joke here 😂. I can vividly see Berillio staring tiredly as Brad said that
Oh
This is gonna be good
45:55 got me.
Also thanks for sacrificing yourself Berilio, it is greatly appreciated.
Whereas I get that changing the rules are nice, you do not want to do that very often, because you had to look every time you play at new datasheets.
I still love the idea of changing the rules every so often.
I wish Bricky mentioned the Master of Executions during his legionaries spam idea. Legionaries already get rerolls to wound on objections, and the MoE provides full rerolls to hit if the target is below starting strength, which is extremely easy to accomplish.
You can give a squad with 2 power fist profiles and 8 chainswords along with a MoE axe full rerolls to hit and wound for free for 240 points (260 if you add on a Talisman of Burning Blood for the MoE). That's less (or equal) to an unleaded squad of 10 chosen at 260. I think that's insane value
15:37 IVE BEEN SAYING IT FOR WEEKS BABY LETS GOOOOOOO
Thank you Burellio Grandpa Nurgle would be proud.
Looks like Chrono the Harlequin from over at "Live from the Black Library" was correct in his prediction that The Scouring would be the next big book series.
