    I did the same thing in my backyard in Florida, but I just made one green and shot at it from multiple angles. That way it was easier too maintain the green ....... !

    Try it with foam balls next time so you can do full swings and so the wind will be a factor

      Why not pitch/chip with foam balls and once you’re on the green, switch them out and putt with regular balls?

    Awesome and creative, when i lived in Florida I set up a chipping course and mastered my 60* sand wedge. It changed my short game around the greens in a huge way. Great practice course and looks like fun......................!

Actually had 1 driveable par 4 , and a couple 200yd. Range par 4's & rest par 3's.... Actually got really good being able to practice everyday free.. sure miss it alot!!!

      Ooh, that might get messy for their yard. They could just let a few patches of grass overgrow. Not nearly the same, but almost as hard to hit out of grass akin to the length of heath. They can mow it at any time, sand might end up damaging their lawn. Besides, they don't create divots, and they allow movement for a better lie [reasonably], so it wouldn't really be that big of a deal. It'd just be uncomfortable.

    Pretty good job, I think for the greens, since that type of grass can’t be cut into the shape needed for a proper green, you should get some type of turf mats in order to include some putting

    I made my own backyard golf course with blue tees white tees and yellow tees and we use foam golf balls and they fly great and they work perfect for the course. The course is called Pirate's Cove and I mowed it myself. I haven't mowed it yet this year but I can make a video of photos from last year.

      +Sam Huff They look like typical bricks that you build a house from. Most brick houses have left over bricks so any decent neighbor should give you some for free. Otherwise you might be able to buy a small amount from a hardware store for like 50c each.

  • @dinolarson6917
    @dinolarson6917 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Better: pick a spot and make one GOOD green--cut short..tamped down (brick)--some kind of plastic or metal cup.
    Then establish 9 tees. Play with foam practice balls (Walmart)--hit every club in your bag--stop on a dime--no injuries or broken siding/windows.
    Then putt with real balls.
