I was having issue on both Switches ( M1, M2 ) so i had to replace both switches.

Once the soldering started I knew it was time to get a new mouse
or you could spend $30 and fix the mouse instead of buying a $70 mouse and be a man

I fixed mine by going to the desktop and lightly holding down click and creating the blue highlight square. I started moving my fingers up and down the clickers and noticed there was a spot in the click where it spazzed out[double clicks or no response at all] and started running my finger up and down that area and after a few minutes it stopped being a nuisance. its usually just a spring that needs to be nudged back into place[this trick can also help with faulty face buttons on controllers you just have to work the internals back into their correct position.] I had a faulty A button on an xbox one controller where it only worked if I pressed the left side of the button. I pressed down on the left side and rolled my thumb to the right repeatedly and now it works consistently. I basically had a spring that got moved too far to the left so it was missing the internal input and pressing down and rolling over helped force it back to the middle. Otherwise you could just take the device apart and examine the spring thats attached to ensure its hitting the mark

I was actually able to fix the problem without soldering or replacing the switch. if you look closely at 5:43ish you can see the switches can be opened. there is a small piece of spring loaded copper inside that just needs to be put back into place. you might wanna open it upside down though because the little green button can fall out. likewise dont lose the piece of copper either. This also works for the 2013 edition one so I assume it works for all deathadders left/right click. sadly i have to replace the mouse sliders though since the screws to open them are underneath.
you can also buy new switches and transplant the internals since that is what wears out.

I've been using a "used" Razer Deathadder Chroma for about 4 years now & it still works like new. I bought it used off of Amazon back in April 2018. It's the call of duty black ops III version.
I have had to clean out the switches a few times as they'd stop working ( mainly the middle mouse button would stop working ). Once taken apart, I"d just flood the switches with alcohol while spamming the clicker to clean them out & then allow to dry, sometimes it might take a 2nd go at it but then they're back to working like new . I've done this about 4-5 times thru it's life cycle so far & it's still working great!
I'd recommend trying that first before completely replacing the switches.

I guess, technically. The thing is, the switches have an identical form factor in basically any mouse. I fixed my deathadder's left click by soldering on the switch from a $5 mouse, and it works like a charm. The original deathadder switch is a lot quieter, and the new one makes a louder, more pronounced "click" noise, but that hardly matters, since I saved myself 50 euros. I even had the cheap mouse laying around, so I didn't even have to buy one.
So yes, technically you could buy a new mouse, but if you have access to a soldering iron, and know how to use it, you can get away with buying the cheapest mouse you can find, rather than a new $50+ mouse. But the switches themselves can be found on Amazon or Ebay for little over 50 cents, so you don't even need to get a cheap mouse if you don't already have one.

I bought the pieces and tools listed at the description, learned from the experience and at the end it worked really well for me! My mouse feels like a brand new one!

Thank you man, it was super easy with your video, my deathadder works perfectly after change the switch :) In hungary the switch cost is about 2000 HuF, the mouse cost is about 20 - 30 000 HuF. Worth it. :)
If you are in Australia there is a local Mouse Mod supplier on the web for the Omron D2FC-F-7N or Omron Japan D2F-01F-T which are replacements sold in pairs. They direct replacement to the crappy switches used by Razer. $90 mouse with crap switches, well-done razer, well done. - This isn't an advertisement, I have not provided any direct link or name of the business. Just want to help others fix a faulty design.

I have a relatively new Deathadder Elite, and to be honest I do manage to drop click with it,
40 ms between the clicks.
can I actually make more CPS if I were to disable that? like...
At each drop get more clicks with lower distance?
I tried this and messed up the pcb traces while trying to unsolder the switch. If any of you DIY guys are thinking about doing this, be very careful. PCB traces are fixable but the work requires proper precision equipment which I don't have.
guys before you do anything, try putting some alcohol on(inside) the switch might be because of some dirt/gunk that come over the years I've use this ,maybe i push some stuff in it, click it sometimes with hand to let the alcohol go inside, let it dry.

Pretty simple to desolder and resolver 3 pins. Might seem intimidating. Solder sucker helps. A clean soldering iron as well lol
What screw driver do u use my scroll wheel doesnt have grip and i need to open it but idk which screwdriver to use, all mine dont fit
This mouse has broken scroll issue.
You'll need to replace that scroll.
Small star head driver sould work perfectly.

How do you make the mouse double click? I NEED IT TO 😩
I had this issue, I just turned my mouse upside down and flicked M1 10-15 times and now its working perfectly again, I'm guessing some gunk got in there that needed displacing
I opened the switch and fiddled with the little copper spring thing and now it works
If the product name is the same, but the plastic tip itself is blue instead of green, is that an issue at all? Looking for a switch as official as possible.

Asking because I also read the switches produced in Japan are apparently slightly taller, making for a tight fit. This one is made in China though, but I thought maybe the colouring made a difference as well.

@@person6215 Double click is not good - it does this because the module is broken and doesn't know when to fire. Sometimes it will not fire. It's not good, trust me. You can make razer macro for double click when shooting or rapid fire shooting.

My guys just cut open the switch and spray contact cleaner in it. Worked for me.
you know you can open the casing of the switch? You don't need to cut it open at all

the easiest way to fix this is to get a air compresser and blow it out. I cleaned my mouse (the top of it) and then blew out the insides under the click pads with an air compressor and that solved my issue!

Dude you can jitter with literally any mouse just jitter. Just tense your arm, and when it shakes that's what you use to click.

My razer death adder is from 11 years and i have the double click problem and first click holding problem from 6-8 months.
@@harshhwardhanrai3716 i've had my razer death adder elite for probably around 5-6 years now, and it's treated me really well up until a month or two ago. my right mouse button double clicks probably 50% of the time, but other than that it's a great mouse. if you're looking to buy one i totally recommend it, but from what i've seen lots of people have had problems with it double clicking as it gets old.

D3MIGOD ELITEツ you have to replace the switches with double clicking switches. I had a deathadder elite and I changed it cause of this problem.
this is a hardware issue, no you don't wish you had it. Although, if you set a different button on your mouse to left click, like the button on the side, then there's an option to set the left mouse button as a double-click input

Mostly All Gaming Mouse Uses Omron Micro Switches,
Some have there own Switches but the Diagram and Size , Structure is same.
All are compatible with each other.

You're doing it wrong. It's not the whole switch that's broken, it's just the thin metal bit inside it, which needs replaced or bent back. So, no need to de-solder and solder the switch again.

Yes. I got mine from an old mouse I had laying around, and it works just fine.

spam the shit outa ur mouse until it starts to malfunction or something, or get a roccat kone for drag clicking or a model o mouse for faster click speed. its dbounce can be adjusted to get 13 cps normally.

If you do this your mouse is surley done.
Why is it done? Proper hearing the solder iron to make sure you don't mess up the pcb, take your time and you'll probably do a better job than the factory who put it together

@@itsdare1493 A majority of the time its a solder job gone bad or was weak to begin with and over time and vibration causes a problem. Obviously a bad contact here was the culprit but a little bit of experience and you can fix a lot of things pretty cheap.

@@itsdare1493 my brother has had 2 deathadder right clickers go out after a few months of use... Meanwhile I'm still using my Naga Molten 2011. Maybe quality of build has gone down in recent years.

Of course it works! Double click means you have a worn switch and if you replace it with a new one it will work...
