    It happened to me i thought hardwork & staying quiet will get me promoted which I did but no one actually cared. When promotion time came partner asked who is this consultant i don't know ? I was shocked.
    Where else my collogue on same project started to order & act as if he is manager before even getting promoted. When i confronted saying we work on same level he ignored and then we had a conflict. He will ask in the meeting in front of client " Do this by next week, book next call we both worked on same level so why order.

      Same situation with me. Office politics is hard to navigate. Specially rude coworkers and bullies. In Dubai it’s hard to get promoted if you are not Arabic or white (from UK)

      Working in big 4 tech in India , had a tough time working with a team who blamed.
      The boss lady will micromanage, will ask to punch time on teams where as my company has no time punching policy, send teams message every 2 hours. Sadly she didn’t do this with everyone only selected employees who were low on confidence and took shit from her (including me lol)

    Awesome video! Could you do a video on the workload and responsibilities of seniors, managers, directors and partners etc? I’m interested in how career progression actually affects how you work.

      Thank you Dalton - that’s a great idea I can speak from a Manager perspective and try to get others on to speak from other positions’ Did you want to know from a practice or industry perspective?

    Hey, really interesting! If someone is interested in the stock market, investing and finance, what type of accountant should they become? Would they be more suited to industry or practice? Keep it up 👍

      Depends do you mean as in you want to get into investing on the stock market or working in that area. Firstly practice is much better because you get exposure to more companies - industry you’re working for one company whereas in practice you have loads of companies you may work on so better industry knowledge.
      Stock investing can involve a lot of analytics so a role which can help you develop your analytics skills would be good - I’d say consulting generally speaking would be a good area you get exposure to latest technology and processes and can get good clients to help build your understanding of markets

    Brother I got an offer from RSM but they don't accept exemption because of a stupid reason. Do you know any other accounting firms that don't accept exemption, so I can avoid them.

      @FehzanMehdi  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Watch next week’s video as I talk about exemptions and why you may not want to talk all of them. Firms have a good reason for this.
      Not sure exactly which firms will not allow you to take exemptions - my advice to you is trial and error even if a firm doesn’t let you take exemptions you’ve built up good interview experience

    • @izientertainment9349
      @izientertainment9349 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FehzanMehdi Yes, I will eagerly wait for that. This was quite new for me, as I wasn't aware that some firms don't allow you to take exemptions. Even when I emailed my teachers about it, they were quite surprised. Also, it just neglects the purpose of the bachelor at this point, if I have to sit all the exams, but yeah I'll be waiting for your video.
