I just purchased this bike with some of the same upgrades based on your videos. I couldn’t be happier with the bike. Thank you! I have four rides on it and it out performs my expectations. This is my first fat bike. I added a dropper post and changed the seat to a wtb. Will be changing the grips next. Running the 4.3 yippees. I got it for snow and running the beach of West Michigan. I like it enough that I expect to ride it year round. It won’t replace my Roubaix for fair weather riding but I know I will be riding it more than anticipated in the summer. Thanks again for your thorough reviews. Well done.
Thanks for watching, and glad you found the prior videos useful and the bike to meet or exceed your expectations. I have a set of the YKY tires that I will likely put on later this year too, they are a great do-it-all well tire for a fat bike.
This is a remarkably impressive bike and the up grades I’m sure just enhanced it ! The Borealis Flume is the most luxury ride I have had to date! ! Great Video enjoyed it !
Great video! Yes this bike is next on my list to buy. Really wish they had more options on colors especially bright colors but the bike is such a good value I can see my self doing a a wrap or repaint. Love this bike. Although like the Black and gold option with an XX1gold chain it would be very nice.
Just watched your two videos so helpful and appreciated. I need a little advice. I can get a stock Pro 2023 from a friend for a 1000 off original price that is hardly used or do I get the Flume?
Great video and information break down Tom. My question isn’t specific only to the Flume; could you share your thoughts on the Sram GX components? Thanks.
I have been very happy with it, but honestly when it comes to drivetrains I am indifferent between Sram and Shimano. I do find the GX a noticeable, but not drastic improvement over the Sram NX I have on another bike. I have a Sram NX, NGX, GX, GX Transmission, XX1 comparison video planned so hoping to get the done in the coming weeks. Thanks for watching!
The problem with a heavy bike does not surface when you ride it. It surfaces every time when you have to lift it - over terrrain obstacles, up and down the steps etc...
That’s a reasonable point on the obstacles. I do feel a huge different in the riding too between my Flume and ICT, the ICT goes anywhere like a tank, but also has that tank-like feel.

What exactly is the bike you have available from your friend?
