@Katie Giles Diet can have an impact on most people's complexion. Some people are blessed genetically. I've noticed personally with my skin when I drink only soda and eat lots of dairy my skin tends to be more red and I break out. Maybe you are fortunate enough to not have very acne prone and inflamed skin. For some of us it takes more than a few products to fix this and more of a change in lifestyle. We're all different so what I need to maintain a clear complexion may not be what you and others need. Cheer up, and have a nice day!
@Katie Giles ????? food 100% can impact your acne and more specifically it's high glycemic foods and also dairy products....as someone who has struggled with acne for a decade certain foods definitely trigger my acne everyone is different so diet can have no impact on someone's acne while for someone else it can wreak havoc but no one is saying diet is the ONLY determining factor
@@shadowfox1609 I’m gonna assume you’re speaking of pure ignorance so I’ll share. There are SO many things that could cause this and it’s not even necessarily an addiction. My nephew is autistic and it’s taken us years to get him to eat more. It took a while to switch him from milk to real food as a baby and then he got used to baby food and it took years to get him to start eating real food. The way this man speaks leads me to believe it’s a texture issue and he doesn’t trust even the Pots used to cook it so it’s not just an addiction. He also said he doesn’t necessarily like the flavor it’s just all he can eat. So many key points he made leads to him being on the spectrum. Not necessarily autism but you don’t know anyone’s story to just boldly assume he just eats the same thing daily for fun. Thinking of how much that would tire a sane person should be enough information for you to know you’re speaking out of pure ignorance.

Not damn starving. But they were gonna try & make me sit there till I finished it. I sat there for a good while till my mom came. I was about to cry. They were so forceful about it too tho. Actually, we spent most of our time w/ the kids b.sitting us rather than the actual parents. but it was the mom who tried doing that. So my mom came & she wasn't having it. Honestly his dad acts the same way mine does. He can be chill on some days and rude and disrespectful on other days, usually because of something that happens at work, home or just where ever. If he comes home he’ll just lash out on us or just not show anything, so let’s say if I ask him to drive me somewhere even though he agreed the day before he won’t do it. He’ll also just hold onto something that happened along time ago for no reason. He used to hit us, but he no longer does. When I saw he keep on hitting my oldest sister for something that was a mistake, I really hated him. Yes she didn’t really seem interested or cared but that was because in our house no only really likes to talk to him. He doesn’t hit us anymore though so that’s cool, but his old ways haven’t really changed. I even wanted him to just “leave”, he was an abusive father and husband. This guy seems like a really good dude who’s trying his best to be his best. I really hope he finds a way to be happy whilst possibly finding a healthier alternative food choice.
The way he described his conflicts with his dad really made me understand why he would turn to a certain comfort food to keep himself sane, and how it became an addiction.
Its not an addiction really, but more of a self therapy mechanism to deal with trauma. It could have been anything, but happened to be macn cheese. I find it extremely sad because he fools around a little when he says stuff like "hey im the macn cheese guy haha" but what people dont see is the heavy abuse that has been taken place. I wish him the best
@@user-zz4eu6tm2t well it seems to fit the definition of addiction pretty well to me, which is "Addiction is a biopsychosocial disorder characterized by compulsive engagement in rewarding stimuli despite adverse consequences".

BRWN BOY I only replied to your comment, because I can’t lie, you’re not old enough to have a TH-cam account (not to mention old enough to get in a relationship with that girl).
He’s literally SO likeable. Poor thing. I hope his health looks up and he gets the help he needs. I’m glad he knows it’s hurting him. Mentally and physically. He’s very different than those people on like “my strange addiction” tbh.
I like how openly self analytical he is without damaging his ego. Not a lot of people can bluntly accept there are problems with themselves without damaging their ego. He’s more mature than a lot of people at 20.
Crazy Steve nah, just played competitive paintball traveling the US for a few years until I went pro. You learn a lot about people and the dynamics of people in general doing stuff like that.
I still think his ego is damaged. He is reflecting on what he knows about himself, and wants to change. There is some part of his ego that is affecting him. He understands that it’s a unhealthy lifestyle. If he did have a good self esteem he wouldn’t recognize his problems.
@@jmandabs7052 Agree, it's incredibly damaging to a child for a parent to beat them in the way he describes; it's even worse that he was inconsistent in his emotions toward his son. Kids always put the blame on themselves and unfortunately develop this into their adult sense of who they are. Doesn't matter that the dad had a problem, it's horrible for any kid to have to live with this later in life. I really, really admire him for the strength he has and hope to God that he finds a therapist that can heal this trauma. He deserves this!!!!
Its a conflict within him when he states that he's missing out on other foods and subconsciously he cant eat anything other than mac n cheese. I never liked celery and as I lowkey forced myself to eat it little by little bc of discovering its benefits to our bone health I eventually ended up liking it ! Its about wanting to change. Addictions are for real and if he deeply feels that he desires to end that habit of consuming mac n cheese, it will come. Fr fr, his story is unique and astounding. I can't think of eating that every day for that long lol.
godsent esoj i eat almost everything beside celery and Velveeta cheese , I just can’t , I tried celery so many times , if its in something I won’t eat it i have to take it out. He is going back to the food that brought him comfort. He should try to make it himself in many different versions including veggies. Little children will eat veggies that camouflaged in cheese sauce.
I really like how he’s able to recognize that this is an issue instead of denying it and forever ignoring his problem. I feel it shows a lot about his personality and just over all he’s an amazing person. Edit: After re-watching and looking at the negativity left on my comment still don't understand as to how you can come to negative conclusion about this man. He's someone whos been dealt a bad hand in life but rather giving up on himself he takes responsibility and doesn't let eating control him. he takes it upon himself to maintain his physical health and reach out to medical professionals which is more than most people will do when faced with the issues he has. Rather than seeing him on TLC's 600 pound life we get to see him on vice actively bettering him self before he makes his situation helpless If anyone has any object at least make a coherent statement rather than making this about politics or about me (someone you have absolutely no idea of who i am)
If you only ate PB&J sandwiches for 17 years and were ostracized for it by your friends in social settings, don't you think you'd be aware there is a problem?
At the beginning he said it needs to be made in the same pot. Seems like this part of some bigger ocd issue and not just being addicted to Mac n cheese. My credentials are that I stayed at a holiday Inn last night.
That's because it is an OCD issue. He even explicitly said it's about control and safety. Addiction is at its core an OCD type of issue.... Shame is the driving force of addiction, and addiction is a habit that brings control, safety, and comfort in the short term despite causing destruction in the long term.
@@ewetn1 you make a great point. I for sure could class my drug addiction as an “obsessive”, “compulsory” experience . It almost seems like there are two different people that inhabit my body; one is , I think, somewhat nice and good person, one is completely selfish and destructive self-deprecating; antithetical and yet inversely equal to what I feel is my soul-self...if that’s a thing. Just rambling here using TH-cam as my therapist office, you know... 🙃
@@ewetn1 OCD is a disorder, not a disorder type. Addiction has nothing to do with OCD. It is entirely it’s own thing. He very well may have OCD, but he also has an anxiety disorder (the selective eating disorder mentioned in the video). They can be related and they can work together but they are not the same. Shame is also not the driving force of addiction. Shame may be a reason people don’t reach out for help when they know they need it. Honestly I understand food anxiety being related to ptsd. It sucks. In my own way I struggle with certain flavours being the only thing that can regulate me. I hope he heals more because food also impacts how we produce serotonin
well, he did say he only uses that pot so that's probably his personal pot that he uses to eat mac n cheese, and he probably shares the spoon with the rest of the house
it’s probably since he exercises 4 times a week and does lots of boxing. he was also at 245 lbs and he could be a taller dude so that would affect weight distribution
What are you talking about. He's build like a middle aged man who spend the last 25 years on the couch. Im more shocked that he's only 20. I thought he was at least in his 30's.
Not even getting to far into it, seeing him say he uses a specific pan and does things a specific way, you can tell this was one of the areas of control he felt in his life that he turned to and it became an addiction. This is similar to how people fall into eating disorders and I hope he's doing okay
I empathize with it big time. I'm diagnosed with ASD, and I have some very obsessively unchanging routines and sensory issues. I love food variety, so I can't say I know that particular aspect, but I know exactly what it is to have some irrational sticking point you fully know is irrational, but any change is a no-go anyway.
In his case sure but don't use this same idea of thought when u see someone else cooking with specific pans and instruments maybe they just like to cook and it's a hobby
But it's not an addiction. It's not the mac and cheese, it's the lack of any other food. Being physically able to only eat one kind of food does not make an addiction. That's like saying I'm addicted to my antidepressants because the withdrawals would kill me.
And it's not even like that because my body IS literally dependent, addicted to the antidepressants. Nothing would happen to him if he didn't have the mac and cheese, if he was being injected with nutrients and whatnot, he'd be fine. That's not an addiction and I'm really mad that they put that in the title

I hate it when ppl try to stereotype Asians as meek and wtf not. Well... At that point, no. After so much of their bs my parents were like f it. That's because it is an OCD issue. He even explicitly said it's about control and safety. Addiction is at its core an OCD type of issue.... @@slimbeatz4125 yes and no. Why use manners if no one is there? I do that with big pieces of meat. If I'm by myself I'm not cutting my steak with a knife. If I'm with people I cut my shit up and use my napkin. It's nice to be a slob sometimes
MattiSixx so in public you just act fake huh?
why is no one talking about his dad beating him...
Right...😕
tbf he threw the papers away
@@GiGiGiWest and that deserves a beating?
because thats called growing up in the 90s.
There is the answer. He needs therapy.
Its actually pretty wild that hes aware he has a problem and doesnt deny that he needs help. And he has a great attitude about it
It’s so freaking helpful to be aware of your mental illnesses
Sky W Edits its not a mental illness. His body has grown accustomed to mac n cheese and therefor will only receive one source of nutrition.
Wonderfully said
That's actually not a good thing . That's dead set addiction.
A followup would be very interesting
This guy has a great aura. Wish him nothing but the best.
y’know what, i really just wish this dude the best. he seems like a really nice guy and i just hope things are going well for him.
had the same thought myself. good vibes
and he chose Zero in Borderlands, so he can't be anything else than a cool guy
Checked to see if somebody else had already said it!
There’s nothing wrong with him, he seems quite intelligent actually; he just loves his mac and cheese. That’s better than being addicted to cigarettes or alcohol
@@Wacharis he literally has an eating disorder
Him: "I've eaten only Mac and cheese for 17 years"
Me: So he's like 35, he doesn't look too bad, really.
Him: "I'm 20"
Me:... Oh
This was my internal monologue but add in “well I guess I should eat more than just Mac and cheese in quarantine”
I’m scrolling through the comments because I thought I misheard him. He looks 40!
I thought he was like 18
His parents completely failed him
LoL 🤣 same thoughts here
Honestly I understand food anxiety being related to ptsd. It sucks. In my own way I struggle with certain flavours being the only thing that can regulate me. I hope he heals more because food also impacts how we produce serotonin
"I dont eat using the wooden spoon - im not a heathen"
Proceeds to eat straight from the pot.
C M exactly what I thought😂😂
I like how he draws the line at using a wooden spoon
well, he did say he only uses that pot so that's probably his personal pot that he uses to eat mac n cheese, and he probably shares the spoon with the rest of the house
😂😂😂
I only eat from the pot when I cook for myself cuz 1 plate less to wash
Impressed that he isn't bigger. If i ate like that I'd be the michelin man
Expected something different, too!
Ah to be 20
it’s probably since he exercises 4 times a week and does lots of boxing. he was also at 245 lbs and he could be a taller dude so that would affect weight distribution
What are you talking about. He's build like a middle aged man who spend the last 25 years on the couch. Im more shocked that he's only 20. I thought he was at least in his 30's.
@@TheRandomVaper yeah this dudes physique is terrible lmao.
No, just a good pot to make some mac n cheese
But it's not an addiction. It's not the mac and cheese, it's the lack of any other food. Being physically able to only eat one kind of food does not make an addiction. That's like saying I'm addicted to my antidepressants because the withdrawals would kill me.
And it's not even like that because my body IS literally dependent, addicted to the antidepressants. Nothing would happen to him if he didn't have the mac and cheese, if he was being injected with nutrients and whatnot, he'd be fine. That's not an addiction and I'm really mad that they put that in the title
