Absolutely inspiring, the fear and anticipation for the older participants must have almost have been over whelming, and what wonderful parents to help their children reach their full potential. I salute all concerned in this endeavour.
Heart breaking, As a father I can only guess at how awesome these children, parents felt by their results. I think the lady conducting the interview is Top Notch. It's funny how I don't know these kids but my heart goes out to them. I thank God that doctors or the team that made this device gives these children their hearing. Thank you for sharing their results.
man what such beautiful gifts these kids are receiving. can you imagine the joy and pleasure the parents are getting from there children. watching their expressions after hearing for the first time. wow thank you for posting this video DRMTCI hats off to you man
I don't have kids, but this made me cry so hard. Just imagining what life could be for my Nephews if they were to lose their hearing. So glad these kids can hear their parents voices now!
i cant even imagine what it would be like to not beable to hear anything. or what it would be like to hear things for the first time and beable to tell my kids what that first experience was like. i cant even begin to imagine what life would be like without the beauty of sound.
Thanks for this video. It was nice to see the older kids who had the implant under a year old. My son is 7 months now and should have an implant on his right side at around a year old. He's profound on that side, and severe on the left.
I wish this wasn't so one sided. It can give parents false expectations. My step sister was implanted at two years after after use of hearing aids and she has suffered as a result. Discovering my daughter has bilateral profound sensineural hearing loss at 19 months I'm still not sure what to do. I'm so happy to see these success stories butI know all too well that's not always the case :(
What about Language, Identity, and Self-worth? I have met SO MANY people who got implanted as kids and were denied the fundamental human right to be able to sign. They end up learning ASL (American Sign Language) later on in life. A Deaf child will ALWAYS be Deaf. They can learn speech, but Nobody has the right to deny a CHILD the RIGHT to sign. That is the worst thing a parent can do. Again, I am speaking from experience and what I have seen.
I can appreciate that some people just want to be what society considers as normal, but there is nothing wrong with the deaf community and hearing loss or being born deaf shouldn't be treated like a disease.
my Granddaughter has them .she got them when she was nearly 3...When something is too loud she she will take them off .She goes to regular school and so loves it
@tangohoodie I understand where you're coming from but, these kids want to be able to hear. I'm pretty sure if you were deaf, you would want to know how your family sounds or friends.
they didnt give people bilateral impants before like 5-6 years ago or something. i got my right implant when i was 1 and my left when i was 11. sometimes when they first turn them on the vol. is too high and it really hurts. didnt happen to me when i got it first turned on though.
Wonderful technology, now if only we would be able to help the blind. My Great Aunts and Uncles are deaf and died deaf. How wonderful it would have been if they heard their childresn voices just a few decades later.
To educate you, cochlear implants have 100 channels of hearing while the human ear has 1,000,000. This means that the cochlear implant is not even close to having perfect hearing. Just teach your kid sign language. I know some deaf people and they say that they are happy the way they are. Just accept that they're deaf. I take ASL classes just for fun but the parents of deaf children NEED to take ASL classes and teach your children ASL. Don't care what the doctors say...they are full of it.

i love the part where the little boy is asked how you play hockey. he gave a FANTASTIC explanation. he sounds very intelligent.

I LOVE strong people. These kids are STRONG! They aren't different because they can't hear anything without this!
I don't have kids, but this made me cry so hard. Just imagining what life could be for my Nephews if they were to lose their hearing. So glad these kids can hear their parents voices now!
Implants are a true blessing. It is great to see the joy in these young ones that hearing brings.
Every deaf child and or person should receive one of these miracles of science
as a mom of a beautiful tween girl with two cochlear implants, i have to say, this video doesn't surprise me at all :) thanks for sharing!
that was so nice thank god for the person who made the cochlear implanrs

@6:07-8: "It was like a miracle" Something that most take for granted can still be called a miracle by a few...

Wow, impressive! I love when the little boy was singing Happy Birthday. Adorable.
2:12 "When I listen to my teacher". That young man is going places.
the happy birthday song had to make the mother burst in tears of joy
3:09 I do not speak english so I don't know what he is talking about, but he seems very intelligent for his age.
God bless all of these children !
These Children are so eloquent. Some even more so than adults.
The most beautiful video I've ever gotten to see.
I can appreciate that some people just want to be what society considers as normal, but there is nothing wrong with the deaf community and hearing loss or being born deaf shouldn't be treated like a disease.

Why does their speech clarity differ so greatly?
That's right. We should all pray to Jesus for the miracles he has accomplished with these young souls
