    I’m so invested in your journey. I love catching up on your travels. Love the old school campground I hope to find some of those when we get out there and start our #vanlife. ~A

    I love that you are exploring a part of the country I've never been to. Gotta add those falls to my list of places to see.

    Besides the bed rear door access adaption hinges what other things if anything did you do to the interior of the Transit van ? My feet hurt just looking the Rocky beaches but the water looked so refreshing 👍 Stay Kool stay safe thought the lighthouse in Port Isabel,TX was the last one still standing nice their more of them 🙌👏

      I really just hang stuff up on the walls of my little transit connect using the cargo storage holes already there. I mostly use wire picture hanger to hang everything up.

    Lovely! The UP is gorgeous. Do you have any plans to come down through Chicago?

      I skipped Chicago this trip. It’s been quite some time since I’ve been there though. Worth a trip back!

    Nice! I didn't know about the "Mint" spray keeping rodents away tip... What's the mixture ratio? Also if you ever decide to curate a travel photo map/booklet of your favorite travels, put me down to buy a copy. BUT I would like my copy signed! :-)

      Well THANK YOU! Apparently rodents don’t like the smell of mint. I don’t have a formula though. I put peppermint essential oil in a spray bottle with water until the smell is strong. Like a tablespoon in a cup of water. Something like that. Seems to work.

    Did you know that you can fresh water surf on Lake Michigan? I saw people do it in Wisconsin in 22 degree weather.

    Michigan is beautiful it’s so far my 3rd favorite state behind South Dakota & Utah. Just curious what do you use for ventilation in your van? I saw your build which is terrific but did not see a fantastic fan.

    • @nicolewise
      @nicolewise  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t have ventilation. It’s not at all air tight so There is no risk of suffocating. But a fantastic fan would be nice on a warm evenings although I rarely have those. I do have two small USB fans so that’s all I use to keep cool but I don’t have anything for ventilation. Of course I could open my front windows a crack but I have never felt the need to do that.
