You didn't include the range so I looked it up. Here on the California Central Coast, there are mockingbirds that have the ability of mimicry. Some of the nightingale song sounded a bit like the mockingbird's ability to mimic other sounds. (Trivia, my daughter is a heavy sleeper except when the mockingbird sings at night too close to our house! Then, she's grumpy for having lost sleep d/t the mockingbird!)
