Hi Liya love your channel and brand; the grape rewine cleansing jelly is soooo good❤. I was thinking of these topics Snail mucin, leather production, wool production, are designer brands better quality and is the price worth it, how do you know a clothing brand is actually sustainable(what should you look for),peptides hype, upcycling products or bi products for another product and how important it is to make sure all parts of products is being used up(like how you guys used the grape from the wine industry), how important it is to cut down on animal products because of the over production of the dairy and meat industry, skin whitening in all cultures, should saffron be this expensive, clean beauty and are there some clean brands that are actually great and do a stunning job at formulation and effectiveness(I believe not so much in labeling but in the ingredients whether a brand is clean or not does the ingredients and formulation match my skincare wants and needs and cruelty free and vegan labeling(is it better to be both or one is good enough or none at all like cerave isn't cruelty free but they are very effective and people use them alot.

🎉🎉 You did this topic justice. Thank you for putting this information into a more digestible format, for giving alternatives to collagen, and for letting us know that synthesized collagen is on the way! As for the advice to keep taking collagen because it doesn't do any harm, the only harm it *doesn't* seem to do is to people's skin, end of list, and if it causes inflammation in the body, then that absolutely aids in the ageing process. Seems like it's a "beauty is only skindeep" mindset when it comes to collagen. Loved this video. I hope you're well. Congrats on the re-launch of your sunscreen

Ok, here's a prospective from someone who is 70. I use collagen powder every day. A dear friend who is a farmer had terrible bruising on his arms. He said that his skin was like tissue paper. I sent him some collagen powder and over time his skin became less fragile. Other friend did not the think that the collagen powder was doing anything for her. After she stopped taking it, she said her joints became achy. My hair is very thick & my nails grow so fast that I must cut them weekly. I love your alter ego. Thanks

I mix collagen powder in my coffee every morning during breakfast then drink Vit C right after eating, they work best together. WORKS AMAZING! All the discoloration, uneven lines, even the pores become smaller, skin looks more moisturized, and there's that glow. What i take is marine collagen targeted mainly for skin. However, you need to take collagen alongside Vit C, because you probably won't see much effect with collagen alone. Also it must be hydrolyzed so your body can digest it efficiently.

A lot of the hype around collagen is complete nonsense. However, marine collagen is the best supplement I have ever taken. I am an ex-ballerina who had to stop because of a serious knee injury. The pain was indescribable and I couldn't walk at all for 3 months, and for the year and a half after I couldn't do much walking at all and I had intense, chronic pain. I finally gave in to the hype around marine collagen for joints and it has changed my life! Within a few days, it felt like there was actually something hugging my knee joints together instead of bone grinding on bone. Nearly a year later and I'm walking, I'm doing yoga, I'm running, I'm swimming, I'm going to the gym, I can bend down to pick something up, no pain! In terms of skincare, the skin on my body does seem a little more supple but in terms of joints and injuries it's worth a try!

I just take it for extra protein and it gives my coffee some body as I cant have dairy products and veggie tastes like sand. I also think its really helped my digestion. Better gut health will equate to better overall health. Common sense. I buy mine in the bulk bins next to all the chocolates and flours and stuff. $17/lb. Its sold more as a food more than a supplement. Is there a line to toe? Is there a food version vs supplement version? You can even buy it with an EBT card and you cant buy supplements with EBT. I notice i dont need my retinol acne cream as often either. But i think dairy flares up the acne more than anything. Seems little taste is too much.

I am a person who doesn’t believe anyone about ANYTHING so I never expected anything to happen with my skin but I feel like my skin has been alot better looking? I can’t say it’s from the supplement though 100% maybe it’s because of my constant usage of sunsvreen or using a retinoid for a decade so who knows! Now-I did not realize it is contributing to the deforestation in Brazil and other areas. 😳 this is something near and dear to me and can’t believe I didn’t know this. I only notice a difference in my nail strength and hair growth. My skin hasn't shown much visible difference which is why I got it initially. This seems messed up when we don't eat the animal whole along with the contaminants but have to pass his skins through a high tech laboratory to create an ultra expensive powder. Seems that normal gelatin has also risen in price in supermarkets. One of those small pills won't make a big difference if you need 70-100g of protein in total.

If collagen is a protein, when you ingest it don't you break the collagen into amino acids? And if so, isn't it the same as ingesting any other kind of protein? Also, the protein is not small enough to get through the skin and be absorbed by it. That's the one thing that have always made me sceptical about collagen.

Have heard that cancer cells love glycine, is it true? I read this comment under a review on Amazon.

@@therealdibabe sounds like you need to read some real science, like peer-reviewed published double-blind studies.

@@MorningClarity I think that’s just cuz there wasn’t an industry back then. But bone broth is a good source of calcium and protein. However I think collagen concentration is too low. It’s bone broth. Beef tandon, chicken feet, on the other hand are a bit better than bone broth as collagen supplement.

I was hoping your research would be a guide on this contraversial subject and was ready to take notes, but for the first time, I found your research insufficient and honestly I'm a bit dissapointed :/

If you are not vegan, just have some chicken cartilage and bone broth. I find the obsession with supplements very disturbing.

Collagen has done wonders for my grandmothers knees. With age, she has lost a lot of cartilage in her knees. Which brings her a lot of joint pain. I get her collagen all the time 🫶🏼
