VMP did a phenomenal job with the Experience Unlimited record. Bernie Grundman on the mastering AND the cool 'bronze' vinyl? Yes, please. The rest of us mere mortals aren't gonna be coming up on an OG any time soon so this is really a no-brainer. Greensleeves have been rereleasing Scientist's work under different titles (like Junjo) and not giving him credit or royalties. Not very irie. 😞

Julie London absolutely hated it, but I like her last LP, Yummy Yummy Yummy, where she sings stuff like "Louie Louie" and "Stoned Soul Picnic." She evidently hated the LP so much that she quit her singing career permanently to concentrate on TV roles, like her work on Emergency!

That Lowrider record is cool...it's considered kind of a "cult classic" of the Stoner genre. Check their last album "Refractions", it's really good. The drums sound like they're being played by a brontosaurus.

I think there are two mixes of the Velvert Turner Group record, a "soul mix" and a "psych mix," distinguishable by matrix numbers. I think my copy is the soul mix, but it's still very rip-snortin' Hendrix guitar action.
Christopher original is a gem. Wow. Same with Incredible Hog. Kudos! Khan and Charlee great lps, I'm lucky to own both as well. Magma is solid prog. Moloch I don't have, will check out. That Roger Waters solo album puts me to sleep, just saying. Bright Eyes great record. I would love to own that Gillian Welsh album, it's outstanding. Great mix of genres per usual. Peace.

Some useless “Moloch” trivia. Donny Most(Ralph Malph on Happy Days) played a rock singer that wore Kiss inspired makeup named “Moloch” on the tv show CHiPS for an episode 😬👍
Hey Dillon do you ever get the Abraham label reggae albums in your neck of the woods? Bit of a dodgy label with a sketchy history, but they do press some killer stuff including Scientist, flip of a coin whether they will sound good, but I can get copies up here in Canada from $10-20 each, in and they will wholesale if you have a shop FYI. This is your number one sleepy video lol
Scientist sued greensleeves over licensing issues so they started reissuing his albums as “junjo presents” instead of scientist, so petty. Junjo was the producer but the mixes were all scientist and those were scientist’s albums.
@@noblerecords-heavyrotation1792 I believe the lawsuit came about because that album was used as the reggae radio station in GTA 3 and iirc Junjo's estate/family got royalties for it and Scientist sued for his royalties and lost because they don't consider a mixer/engineer to be the creator or author of the music, kind of an interesting lawsuit in hindsight.
The Brothers in Arms was recorded digital so it has no choice but to be digital and of course it is always about the sound. Marketing lies are a different issue and IS what the MOFI issue is about, not the sound. Love the sound on all Dire Straits man
