  • Next up on my trip through "The Great Southern" was Albany, Torndirrup National Park and Two Peoples Bay.
I visited the Albany Whaling Station and the National Anzac Centre and learnt a lot about our whaling history as well as the Anzacs. I didn't realise they all gathered in King George Sound before departing for battle in the great war. Sadly for many, this would be the last bit of Australia they would see.
There are many beautiful spots in Torndirrup National Park including The Gap, Natural Bridge, Salmon Hole and Isthmus Hill. I would have liked to hike out to the end of the peninsula and visit Bald Head but a dodgy knee prevented me from doing so. There's always next time...
Just down the road from the National Park are some amazing beaches and the spectacular Point Possession. Unfortunately recent fires meant the walk to the point was closed.
I also managed a day trip to Two Peoples Bay. Another beautiful location with some of Australia's best beaches. A must visit if down that way.
Once again, I hope you enjoy the video and thanks for watching!
