King Alfie greatest number 7 of all times
4 Grand Final rings as captain, and they dare call Joey the greatest halfback 😂
Joey better passer organiser, kicker, tackler and point scorer...give me a break...😊
@@bluefenJoey less premierships less origins, less tests as halfback, less tries scored, less rules changed to slow him down. More wooden spoons. At every measurement the only statistic johns beats Alfie is points score, easily explained away by the fact one is a goal kicker and the other is not.
@troystaunton254 Alfie needed Wally and KW.. Johns ran the show...stats don't don't tell the whole story...
@@bluefen Johns fans love to shit on Matty Johns, Robbie O, Danny Buderus and dozen other internationals he played with at club to hold him up smh
@bigdaddy4294
You comparing Matty J to the King?..
He's the man
Immortalise Alfie langer already.
When Johnsy was getting fast tracked to immortalisation I used to say it should be Alfie instead, but I'd get laughed down. I think Joey's immortalisation was too rushed. It should be at least twenty years after retirement. Look at the better halfbacks that have come along since (Cronk, Thurston..)
@@AJWRAJWR comical suggesting that Cronk and Thurston are better than Johns. Delusional
@@JMMM1986 Both have superior records
@@bigdaddy4294 Cronk had superstars around him his whole career - Johns did not
As for Thurston - Johns is pretty much at every skill and influence other than goal kicking and even that is close.
Stop wanking off over stats
Sterlo, Cleary, Stuart, Thurston way ahead in the que.
Not enough play makers utilise the very effective misdirectional grubbers Langer would kick
Renouf in full flight.
That's a highlight on its own👍
Decent speed but couldn't tackle at all.
@tigerwarsaw99 - that's just not true.
Is his early days he had a few problems with his defence, but by 92 he was an excellent defender, and he would do it with solid, hard hits quite alot. He could defend just fine.
Alfie is the best halfback I've ever seen play. Johns was never in his class.
St George can't play football🎉😂😂🍾
Not in Nathan Clearys class.
Cleary ain’t even good. He’s the best halfback in an era of terrible halfbacks.
@troystaunton254 oh someone is a bit salty
Alfie did it without roids.
@@troystaunton254not exactly terrible, but yes there aren’t that many amazing halfbacks in the nrl now
92 would be one of the weakest ever premierships. With a bog average Saints team making it through to the GF.
