Lots of legends in both sides. This was when league was at its best
A lot of plumbers and tradies in these teams . Just because it’s old doesn’t mean it was the best 😂 todays players would run circles around these guys . Bigger stronger faster !
I agree todays athletes are better. But the game was more enjoyable back then. But that’s just my opinion
@@Endeavour02 it’s the correct opinion mate. You can say the same about union and cricket as well.
@@St_AngusYoung or any sport tbh - and I was born in 2004
Was a golden era definitely
Can't believe there's so many club chairman who don't realise how good the Test matches are for the sport. It would be guaranteed money if they just put their heads together.
Big Mal takes only 1 step to the ball and then kicks the conversion from the side line via toe poke. Incredible
How good that crowd at 6:20 ?
"FOOORRWAAARRRD!!!!" 😂
Mungoball 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love the sound of English crowds lol
Steve Renouf and Big Mal were the kings. I say that and I’m not an Aussie. 🥝
That try from Walters/Renouf. Great out ball.
The pearl. ❤
Renouf one of the all time centres
I watched this when I was young and I cannot remember that Shaun Edwards dirty knee in the tackle until seeing it now... However I do remember my Dad calling Edwards a dirtyl ittle '@w@t' for ever after this game 😆😆🙂
🤙🏿
Why is the World Cup stretch 1989-1992
One match out of every series over the 3 years counted as a world cup match 2pts for the win, then at the end of the 3yr cycle the top2 played for the world cup final
I notice a lot of goal kicks in the older days. Was it a lot harder to score a try back then or something?
I thought this match would've been with 5 metre rule rather than 10 metres but it's hard to tell
@@gumnutgear officially it was 5m but around then it sort of varied around 8m or so.
10 I think the lines are 10 metres apart use that as a guide to judge it
The 10m rule started in 1993@@gumnutgear
