@@Kelz_vee Nah. Slater was very good, but he didn’t change anything. Fullback is still basically the same as it was during the Garry Jack/ Gary Belcher era.
Broncos lost Gordon Tallis, Scott Prince and Ben Ikin to long term injuries that year. If they all stay fit, Broncos would have cake walked that season
@@AustraliaUnmasked1984parramatta destroyed broncos twice that year. It was the Eels year just happened to have their worst game of the year in the grand final
@@AustraliaUnmasked1984 No way is Ikin over rated! Ever see him selected for a side he didn't deserve to be in? No? Me either! He was super talented. Too bad his injuries kept him off the field for so long.
@@AustraliaUnmasked1984ikin was in no way the best player. However long before he even met Wayne Bennett he’d played 9 origins for Queensland and his 2 tests for Australia. The reality is while he was never in the langer or Lockyer category. He was better than the likes of Jason Taylor and Craig polla-mounta and tricky trindell all of which get recognised for their talent and impact on their teams.
First try to Broncos if that play happened nowadays it would have been no try and penalty to the other team, Civoniceva was in front of the play the ball and got involved in the play and scored the try should have been a penalty to the Dragons Civoniceva was in front of the play the ball therefore he was a mile offside, I'm not a Dragons fan either btw!!!
Btw Blacklocks try was a try. The Brisbane player let go of the tackle to allow Blacklock to continue over the line! Can’t believe Peter Sterling and Paul Vautin both played rugby league at the highest level and they don’t even know that? Not that it matters, this was the year Parramatta choked
Man Sailor was a beast
Lockyer was very instrumental in this game.
No doubt the Brisbane Broncos were just too good for the Dragons that night. The Broncos dominated the game from the get go
My favourite broncos jersey
What a game by Sailor!
Damn Chris Walker was quick.
My favorite team❤
Wow finals footy was really popular back then in nsw😂😂😂
Crazy dragons we met so close because of a blatant double movement try a knock on try 😂
Lockyer was a better fullback than Slater.
He really wasn't lol slater changed the way the fullbacks play the game

Back when Bellamy use to run waters for Bennett.
Now Bellamy is King of coaches.
Lokyer before coke: Prodigy
Lokyer after coke: Legendary.
He never did coke, John’s did

Ben Ikin? Over rated! Only got so much praise because he’s Bennetts son in law

Brisbane were reigning premiers
❤❤❤❤
Blacklock try 😱😱😱😱
Up the mighty Bronx!
7:45 Third reich vibes with that hand💀
Yikes! I got that vibe too. But that was Piggy's trademark before every kick 🤷♂
Why not Roman legionnaires vibes? Same salute.
Haha what a legend
Sailor looks like under the bed

No try double movement and no it was a Broncos player and he still had hold of him therefore he was tackled!!!
