Theres nothing American about the 'American Doughnuts', the name comes from the original owners buying the recipe off a German man in 1950s, but it wasnt the right time to sell 'German' anything so they hopped on the trendy post war americana name, even though youd only find this style of doughnuts in central europe originally

I love that you (and the wanderers!) use the old fashioned Aussie/English spelling of doughnut!! These days it seems to be replaced in most places by the Americanised version “donut”, which I find a little lazy- they are after all made of dough! ❤

The Adelaide Central market is undergoing a $400 million redevelopment. When you visited two months ago they had already closed sections of it including the market arcade and international food court. I have visited both and the Queen Victoria is larger in terms of footprint and has a section setup as a flea market with vendors selling clothes, souvenirs and other random items. Adelaide central market is primarily a food and produce market.

Hi and welcome back to Australia. Excited to see more content. Just to add to the many suggestions….. the coastline heading north at this time of year is in Whale migration mode. One of the best locations to view them from land for FREE is Port Stephens NSW. As with anything to do with nature some days are better than others. With 40,000 whales streaming past, the busiest time is over the next month or so. Would love to show you the best vantage spots. The area also has the biggest coastal sand dunes in the southern hemisphere. Also free to walk on if your up for a trek 😅 pm me if you’re up for a free day. Happy to show you around

Just thinking about the Blueberry. Great car, but do promise you'll get a proper mechanic check-out and advisory before you leave North Queensland? Some of the attractions are on rough roads and you wouldn't want to have to sell her in a damaged condition. They say you can do the Top End without an SUV, but show your itinerary to somebody who knows, for our peace of mind. You're experienced travellers, I'm sure you've encountered such challenges before.

So glad you decided to head inland....it will give you another dimension of Australia's diversity....one which few travellers get to enjoy as they tend to stick to the coast and the more touristy destinations....Hopefully there's enough snow to have a slide or 2....but it is early in the season. Watch out for those Canberra mornings....bbbrrrr...

I’m a little nervous about your plans to travel around the top end of Australia in Blueberry. Hopefully it makes the journey but there are not as many cities and major towns along that route, especially once you hit the Northern Territory. The top end of Western Australia has a few mining towns dotted around the place but that’s it. Will be a great adventure. Fingers crossed.

Cooking roo is like cooking venison, because it's so lean. Seared in a very hot pan is often preferred, and cooked rare. You'll get away with medium rare if you have a descent cut, I used to even make roo kebabs. It can taste gamey, however I've had pieces that tasted like the best beef steak ever, and you could cut it with a butter knife. Other pieces turn to rubber. I think the problem is you can't choose the age and sex of the animal, or what cut, so it's a lottery.

Definitely give the roo a go. Healthy eating. As others have said, do not overcook it. I like to slice it and have a Thai salad type thing. Fresh herbs etc. Use fillet if possible. Slightly more expensive but worth it. Or you can get meatballs. Make a pasta. Try em both. Love the videos. Safe travels

With Kangaroo, go steak. You can find fillets in the supermarket.
It’s a very lean cut of meat so medium rare with plenty of salt is the way to go. It doesn’t taste gamey to me, it’s similar to lamb or grass fed beef, just leaner.
You could also go for sausage (aka Kanga Bangas). They normally have it seasoned and spiced up that any gaminess is covered up. It’s pretty average in a burger.
Two more meats to add to your plate would be emu and crocodile.
Glad you’re going the inland route, there are a lot of great little towns, cute rest stops (e.g. Dog on the Tuckerbox in Gundagai).
Do you know about Australia’s Big Things? We have a bunch of random oversized statues/sculptures of things (Big Lobster, Big Pineapple, Big Koala, etc.) and a few will be coming up on your route so keep an eye out for them/look them up ahead.

Us Melburnians will ALWAYS suggest going to an AFL game at the MCG, which is the largest stadium in the country and simply a great place to see our national game. If large noisy crowds are an issue for you them maybe try to check out a game in either Sydney or Gold Coast. The Greater Western Sydney Giants play their home games at a smaller stadium that seats about 20,000 but they rarely get anywhere near that many, or the Gold Coast Suns have a stadium that seats about 35,000 but once again they struggle to pull a large crowd. Either of those would be ideal if you happen to be in either location when a game is scheduled.
It's also best if you reach out to someone who follows the game and get them to tag along so they can explain the basics of the game to you, otherwise you may not appreciate the experience as much as it will be a VERY foreign game to you.

    Gday again guys👋👋
    A new flash & fresh intro 👍😎
When I saw Tia making those poached eggs, I was hoping you'd have them my favourite way...on butter & vegemite toast 😋 the eggs really cream up the vegemite & softens the bitterness. Though I love vegemite daily anyway 👍😁
Fair enough about the footy & crowd anxiety 😘 Though the MCG is on my bucket list to see Fremantle play at⚓ (or anyone really).
But you can catch a game at Perths new Optus Stadium when you get back 'home' to sell Blueberry 😉
It's a brilliant stadium, with beautiful views of the Swan River & the city. The stadium surroundings are spot on too..& the pub 🍻🍷🥃 ..& you can climb & or zipline the Matagarup Bridge next to the stadium also.
I'll even leave the house & go with you 😬..& educate you on Aussie Rules Footy 🙃 The atmosphere is really uplifting with the Freo crowd 💜🤍 ..just like Fremantle itself! 😉
Looking forward to the next episode 👍👍
    ✌️♥️

Love your vlog guys and i love that you wanted to see more of our beautiful country. Im feeling a little sad for you being under a time constraint. The east coast has so many more small towns and because of the underlying geography, so many truly different landscapes im sorry that you wont get to experience them properly due to your heavy driving schedule.
Id urge you to rethink driving Blueberry across the top. Its very remote and hard going and not really something to be done lightly even in a kitted out 4-wheel drive. Please connect with locals who have done the trek, especially about provisioning with supplies and safety equipment. Take care you guys and enjoy the rest of your trip!

To avoid crowds the best way to see a match would be to go to a local game and most towns have a game on every Saturday at most ovals

Great choice going inland! The coast gets lots of the glory but the inner parts of Australia (or 'the bush ') is so beautiful 😍

Thanks for another bright and interesting vlog. Never been able to visit Queen Vic markets, so colourful and varied. Safe travels for those long hours on the road.😃

YOU GUYS! We love the new branding at the beginning! So clean and modern. 👌👌
We appreciate how far you had to walk to get the market roof sign in the shot. 😂😂
Super excited to see the Australian Alps (didn't know they existed!). 😁

Lovely to see you at Vic Market. A great market that we Melbournians love. The part you may have missed was the Delicatessen area. Great that you tried the Bourek, mussels and the doughnuts. LoL. Safe journeying!

The only way to eat mussels is with nature’s spoon! And getting the sauce all over your fingers 😊 Nice vid ✌🏼

It's great that you do your own car maintenance, a very underrated skill set. I laughed about Tia's comments on the car washes in other videos... my husband and I have spent many hours over the years in a car wash. It becomes a "thing".

Best roo I’ve had was a filet cooked medium … seared on sides with native spices they used pepper berry crust on one side.

The best way to eat kangaroo steak is rare or seared. It's low fat content makes it tough to eat if you cook it any longer. I highly recommend getting kanga bangers, which are sausages made with kangaroo meat and flavoured with Australian bush spices (this is my favourite way to eat kangaroo)

The reveal of Blueberry in the garage reminded me of the scene in the James Bond film Skyfall when Bond & M switch vehicles and the iconic old school Aston Martin DB5 is revealed. That blue Mazda was deserving of some dramatic music!! 🚙
