@MAJESTIC yep. I saw some lore that drifter "modified" his ghost where it can hold darkness but now the ghost doesn't seem able to speak anymore (from what I can remember from the lore video atleast)
@@popdog165 Nah, Drifter did that. He was sick of its endless taunting of him. Drifter's lore implies that he has tried to off himself numerous times, and every time, his ghost rez's him and taunts him about how he can't deal with his power.
Don't forget the starving to death and being resurrected numerous times, just to still be starving because resurrection doesn't change hunger state. Which in turn caused him to eat anything in his path
This is incredible! Seeing a shaggy and rugged version of Drifter and glimpses of the things he’s done to survive were very impactful. Liked the touch of his Ghost having the same eyes of the snake in the beginning, too. Lots of good symbolism. Keep up the good work!

Really enjoying Season of the Ace so far. It's great to have Cayde back, and it was a cool touch to give Failsafe an Exo frame to help Ada, Archie, and us reconstruct Rasputin for the Tsar Project. Anyone have any ideas about where Drifter is taking the motes we've been banking all this time? My money's on the Veil. I'm so glad Bungie finally explained the Veil to us too. It makes so much sense now why Osiris kept it a secret from us when Lightfall first released! I still have a bunch of questions, but these 6 new Gambit maps are awesome.

This is one of my favorite things to come out of the entire destiny community and I’ve been consuming this game’s content for 7+ years. Genuinely, thank you for this art🤞
In some ways, it'd be neat to have those tapes back in the world. Sorta makes me think of the Echo logs from Borderlands 2 and onwards. You wander around and find some lore tidbit. Though another way of doing it is having the player be able to go somewhere in the Tower and listen/watch scenes like this to get a better idea of the world and characters. There's a wealth of backstory that has been removed and lost over the years.

I would absolutely adore a show based on drifter, the dark age, and the horrible things he did. I love the really dark lore from destiny but the stuff that we get in game just doesn’t live up to it. A show free from the constraint of a video game would be amazing.

I think expanded media is always good - so long as it is not bound by the true constraints of incompetence, and unrealistic deadlines. Drifter quickly became one of my favorite characters even before Season of Drifter came out. He starts off as the shady guy in the ally setting up illegal matches. He's funny with cool asthetics and with so much intrigue. Its in Season of Drifter where we learn who he really is. He's a man who was brought back from the dead in a horrible era. He's seen Fallen kill people. He's seen Risen kill people. He's seen people kill people. All for reasons that were petty, self righteous, or selfish. He's had a kid die in his arms. Starved to death so many times he ate Eliksni to survive. Everything he tried to care about gets burned to the ground or whisked away. It's why he's a Drifter. When there's no more bridges left to burn, the only path left is forward.
@MAJESTIC With all the lore of the Dark Age, it has the most potential for the being the setting of a Destiny Television series. Drifter, the Warlords and Iron Lords, The Fallen. I mean, the gold is there it just needs to be dug up!
Art is great as always, but I really appreciate the improved pacing of the Drifter's lines. Flows better than the last cutscene for Eaton. Hope you do the other tapes in time.
Perpetually pissed off that progress done in-game for events and seasons isn't tracked on the account but on the character, because I changed my guardian's appearance the old way & he no longer calls me snitch
Drifter is *very* good at making dirt sound like gold so you beg to buy it from him. You think "hm, maybe the Traveller and the Ghosts are malevolent and are playing us, just acting all friendly for now" and you **could** believe him! All until you realize humanity would have been all but erased without the intervention of the ghosts and their lightbearers lol
It is not that the characters are not interesting! It is just that the content model does not allow for deep exploration of said characters. Actually, I was thinking that if we could come up with a better way of monetizing D2, we could convince Justin Truman, and subsequently Pete Parsons to spend more time on higher quality endeavors. So get to thinkin'!
I still dream of a day where Bungie goes the route of making single player games set in the Destiny universe. Imagine a single player game where you can play as Cayde or the Drifter or Shin Malphur. Shit would be so hype, but nah that's only a pipe dream
Hmm, I do not have such a thing as an artstation, but for the brushes I use, I have mainly used a marc brunett (I think that is his name, ) brush pack. The other paint stroke brushes are very much random defaults!
I had an idea for an Exo hunter tale. A hunter is exploring the EDZ enters an old house. He looks around and soon finds a photo of him and a woman. He looks around the house and finds a crib. Slowly coming to realise this was his life. He looked around the house for anymore clues. Unable to find any. Soon, (from an undecided event) he finds out he is an Exo. A machine. Not flesh. His brain, realising, as all exos do, he began to tear himself apart. Using his Goldtusk to cut off any metal pieces. Dicing himself on his past living room floor. He soon dies and his Ghost has him respawn. The guardian stared as he laid on the floor. Knowing he was machine. He began to tear himself apart again. And respawns. And tore himself apart again and again. He sat up for another time and took his Loud Lullaby, firing at his Ghost, his Ghost dodged the bullet and it's shell was damaged. The guardian lunged to break his ghost. The Ghost entered hiding as the Hunter searched for his "little buddy" wanting his brain to stop. To stop begging for death. So he could die. He could meet his family. He could leave this metallic body. After hours of searching he fell to his knees and cried for days. Sobbing for those passing to hear. Nobody dared to see what was happening when the Ghost warned them of his current...problem. The Hunter was doomed to have his own brain betray him. Telling him of his encasing. His fake body. The Hunter silently sat in his past home. Knowing he would never be able to reunite with his loved ones. Or be the same from this ever again.

I'd say the witness is the best example, not drifter. The new leaked cutscenes give some new perspectives on the traveler, witness, veil, etc.

Hmm, I do not have such a thing as an artstation, but for the brushes I use, I have mainly used a marc brunett (I think that is his name, ) brush pack. The other paint stroke brushes are very much random defaults!

I had an idea for an Exo hunter tale.
A hunter is exploring the EDZ enters an old house. He looks around and soon finds a photo of him and a woman. He looks around the house and finds a crib. Slowly coming to realise this was his life. He looked around the house for anymore clues. Unable to find any. Soon, (from an undecided event) he finds out he is an Exo. A machine. Not flesh. His brain, realising, as all exos do, he began to tear himself apart. Using his Goldtusk to cut off any metal pieces. Dicing himself on his past living room floor. He soon dies and his Ghost has him respawn. The guardian stared as he laid on the floor. Knowing he was machine. He began to tear himself apart again. And respawns. And tore himself apart again and again. He sat up for another time and took his Loud Lullaby, firing at his Ghost, his Ghost dodged the bullet and it's shell was damaged. The guardian lunged to break his ghost. The Ghost entered hiding as the Hunter searched for his "little buddy" wanting his brain to stop. To stop begging for death. So he could die. He could meet his family. He could leave this metallic body. After hours of searching he fell to his knees and cried for days. Sobbing for those passing to hear. Nobody dared to see what was happening when the Ghost warned them of his current...problem. The Hunter was doomed to have his own brain betray him. Telling him of his encasing. His fake body. The Hunter silently sat in his past home. Knowing he would never be able to reunite with his loved ones. Or be the same from this ever again.
