Mega demo ! Photography a la cart. Where’s the horse? How about adding a “Sabrette” umbrella - hot dog. Does it fit in the overhead compartment😁? Pop up changing tent is nice, too, until the occupant shouts ”Hey, there’s no t-paper in here!”. Nice.

The super-clamps to hold the light stand was a nice idea I might try on my cart. Thanks Omar!

Ahh good ol OnStage. I’ve owned many OnStage guitar stands and never had an issue. This was an awesome build and very creative. The MLC (Mega Lighting Cart) will make portability much easier.

Okay I have to tell you that I typically dont enjoy watching techy talk videos, most photography/video/camera equipment videos are so draining to watch and I only do out of requirement. But dude, I dont think Ive ever lol'ed so many times at a photography video!! Thank you for the laughs, I definitely "liiiike." Also, a few years ago I just bungee cord attached my lightstand to a market cart (the tall ones also used for laundry carts) I do wish I could do a boom arm because lightstand on a cart is kinda limiting.

This a is great cart !! Thx for showing us !! I think if you want to travel outside with a lot of stuff the UTC5500 with big wheels will be easier to use.

Ingenious. I’ve been looking to re do my portable set up as I now almost can’t manage it single handed as for client work need a backup of everything just in case extra body/lens/light/stand plus all the accessories. Now with parking restrictions it’s so much more difficult to get gear to location. This is a great solution just need to manage stairs!

Great idea. Thank you. A cart with locking casters would be handy on sloping ground, but some sort of wedge might suffice.

Use a pair of hose clamps to fix a short length of PVC tube from the home store (maybe 1-inch/25mm inner diameter? maybe more?) to the upright of the cart. Then you can just slip the umbrella in it and have it handy all the time. Works to keep big 'ol Golf umbrellas on hand to hold over the model too!

I spent a lot of time thinking about this kind of thing. Right now I strap a huge PVC pipe which fits a folded light stand onto a very small dolly, but it's a bit unstable. I may give this a try! Thanks for sharing the good ideas and as always great content! The fact is, we photographers, are always having to consider new situations that won't be conducive for lugging max gear. I'd love for you to share more ideas on how to scale portable lighting solutions.

Nice. I had the same idea, modifying the manny cart to have a light stand on it. But have never seen a utility cart with all of those features. Great repurposing and modifying.

If you're just using speedlights, then why not just ditch the softbox and go all-in on lightweight gear? Use shoot through umbrellas to diffuse your flash or use bounce umbrellas if you need that extra kick. They're less hassle than fiddling around with the diffusion material of your current setup. I do love the idea of the cart mounted lightstands, though it may be a *itch to move around in areas with lots of stairs or uneven ground.

How strong are the wheels on the collapsible wagons?, I am thinking of putting some on the back of my six wheel shopping trolley, as the standard ones can not handle the loads I carry long term, it seems the only viable solution as their size is the same, but I would appreciate any thoughts and ideas, as I am looking for a long term fix, to this wheel strength problem.

Great idea and setup Omar! I guess it is possible to add a transversal pole attaching from the back handle of the cart to the light stand to make it even sturdier. Thanks again, have an awesome day.

Are you using a wireless Lav? Is it the Rode wireless go? No hate or anything, the interference is just quite noticeable. I have ran into that same issue with the wireless go, so I was just curious if this is a consistent issue with it. It can happen with a lot of wireless gear, especially when a phone or other wireless equipment is close by. Sometimes the cable can have terrible shielding also. RF interference is frustrating.
Great video! I do photography/videography for a dance competition that tours around and a cart like this would be super helpful!
