As other have said, you've got a great well thought out, simple and effective use of all your space. As for the fridge front storage pocket, definitely the (cough) kings 30 ltr draw fridge would be a good addition to off. Albeit my version is a Kickass model. Cam and Tiff keep up the good work. 👍
Another good practical info vid. I love you practical and sometimes ingenious approach to your gear/vehicle. I was wondering how you went with the storage in the wagon coming from your canopy. I've been considering making a similar vehicle change, and I have been eyeing off the Kaon gear to see if it would work for me. Now I have seen its worth first hand. Thanks Cam, and Tiff. Keep up the good work.
I had 2 x stainless steel tanks designed and fitted to the underside of my 105 series, between the side steps and the chassis rail. 20L each fully plumbed with inlets and breathers up under the hood. John Guest fittings, internal baffles etc. Absolutely love it.
@WildTouring amazing what these fabricators can do and the shapes they can bend stainless steel into. I've got a pretty tight fit under there too, and my only request was that it didn't hang any further than the chassis. They did an awesome job, and the quality of work has stood the test of time. Last thing I needed was to be losing water on a long remote trip.
Great set up mate. Certainly been able to fit a lot in. It doesn’t look like things are crammed in and you have to take everything out to get to something.
Keen to hear back on the Drifta bladder. Mixed reviews online around the taste. I’ve been looking at one for the exact same reason - boys trips and backfill the camper on family trips.
I used to have long lists of the stuff I would take and it would take me hours to find, sort and stow it all. I've now got individual Wolf Pack boxes that I use for packing things that are used together. I have a kitchen, recovery gear, food, tools etc that stay packed and can be chucked in or out very easily as I don't want them living in the vehicle the whole time. I have individual lists for each box so it's very easy to check and restock/replace whatever I need to at the end of a trip. It does mean having extras of everything but it's easy to check things that I have been using at home and putting them back before I go. I'm guessing that I can put 80% of the stuff I take in the vehicle in a few minutes now instead of taking hours. The boxes also stack really solidly so they can be used as a bit of a table when cooking or as a bedside table in the tent. My setup works very well for being away for a week or so but way too much for a night or two for one person. That organizer looks really good. Could you make them in a range of standard sizes as they could be stuck to an esky or whatever as well? I guess "standard" is a relative term as well though. Nice well thought out setup imo guys. Plenty of experience and thought gone into it all.
I like the Wolfpack storage box idea, and will be adopting a version of what you’re doing for my own setup. I’ll look into making generic sized organisers. I’m working out interest at the moment to see what there is a market for bringing out next. I’ve actually got a mate attaching one of these Evakool ones to the side of his chest fridge so that he can access it when the fridge is slid out. Appreciate the suggestions 👍🏼
@@WildTouring No worries as I've got plenty of ideas from others. I had a look at your website but couldn't see the organisers so I will keep an eye out. I'm thinking of making a board to go on top of the Wolf Pack boxes that has battens underneath as a sort of table top. Make it out of marine ply or something so that it's light, strong and could even be used as a cutting board if treated properly. Any free bench space is usually a good thing when cooking imo.
Thanks 😊 You just have to work with what you’ve got hey! We’re so lucky In Australia that there is heaps of clever compact camping gear to choose from.
Saturday morning jobs are done and the coffee is made. I always look forward to and enjoy seeing a new WT episode. Also keen to hear about the step change in channel followers after your Insta teaser :)

Love the Evakool organizer Cam, was always jealous there was nothing for the drawer fridge when you see the upright fridges all sporting them. Have just placed an order for one now 👌👌
Hi Cam, good video. Here's an idea for storage get a set of gullwing rear windows (when they come out for the 300) and you can utilise the space between the windows and the kaon window shelves. Regards Alan.
Great video and good tips. Check out the Nuwave Induction cookers. They come in different sizes and u can adjust what watts u cook on. Best one we have found for travelling (got two 😂). 👍
Also keen on the organiser for a kings fridge please Cam. Just moved to albany so building a bit of a setup to get out and about down here, so the vid came in handy.
Cool great setup! I’ve just sold my 100 series wagon and going back to dual cab life. But always love seeing others set ups. How good is the kaon gear. Was sad to see that go with the car. I actually kept the divider to go in my camp trailer as a barrier to stop stuff falling on my fridge as it was a perfect fit. I used 4 Kings canvas bags across the top, hated them coz they are floppy and used to get caught on the edge of the shelf. Need to get myself one of those mozfogs. The decor spray bottles are awesome I’ve got one for home and one for camping, been using them since back in the day when they used to have a plastic liner. I’ve got an Oztrail drawer fridge, 20L. The fridge bag looks awesome, great job!
Nice setup there Cam! You should look at an organiser for the bushman style fridge. I remember you had something for your old setup. I'd get one for my 85L upright for sure
Yeah I did one years ago, I think I missed the timing on that one. Pictures got shared around all over the internet and half a dozen companies started churning them out before I had a chance to get onto it!
@@WildTouring that's a bit shitty mate! I had a bit of a look around after I commented and found there are only the ones to suit the bushman fridge. Same motor same almost everything else except the king's is a digital temp control. I reckon they would come out of the same factory for sure. Very good setup. Certainly has given me some ideas. Would your organiser on front of draw fridge work on the front of an upright fridge? What is the height and width?

How’s your experience been with it. Would you make similar organizers for ends of chest fridges?
Havnt come across that before, ran these same drawer fridges for years in the Dmax too. Potentially will do chest fridge organisers in the future, just gathering interest at the moment to see what to bring out next. What brand and size chest fridge do you have?

P.,S kings draw fridge and stand up fridge organizers I would be in board for one each.
It’s not quite that simple. Did an in depth video on why I chose the 300 over other vehicles (including mid size utes like the one I sold) a while back. Honestly, there was lots of reasons. But if you’re just focusing on payload alone; The Dmax with a GVM upgrade had a payload of 1500kg. The 300 with a GVM upgrade has a payload of 1600kg. Both required a GVM upgrade to build a basic tourer and tow an offroad van with the family. The wagon actually has more payload.
Hmmm, that Mozfog looks interesting but I wonder if you could do the same sort of thing with an ordinary USB powered diffuser with some oil that usually repels mozzies such as lemon grass etc? Your wife asks you to do something and you say 'I may do that', I can see your hubby 'L' plates haven't been taken down yet LOL.
Hey Cam I've been running a upright for a year or so but have changed my canopy setup size and contemplating going a draw fridge, how have you found the draw fridge? Does it stay cold in hot temps?
Both are great for different reasons. For efficiency nothing is better than a well insulated chest fridge, for convenience the uprights are ideal (especially having a small freezer), but for space the drawer fridge is the best as part of a single level drawer system like I’ve done. Drawer fridges are efficient if they’re given the space to breathe! People that have problems with them have almost always boxed them into a tight drawer system with zero airflow. I’ve added a fan into the back of my drawer system to dump hot air into the wings 👍🏼
It’s early days, I doubt it’s any better- probably just as good 🤷♂️ I do like that you can control the flow of fog and dosage of insecticide if it was really thick with mozzies though.
Mate i have been taking lately paper plates/bowls and bamboo cutlery. Saves water, and easy as saves washing up sometimes
Yeah a few of the boys do that on trips, it’s a good idea- especially in camp fire season 👍🏼
Shit for environment though yea.

It’s early days, I doubt it’s any better- probably just as good 🤷♂️ I do like that you can control the flow of fog and dosage of insecticide if it was really thick with mozzies though.
THANK YOU FOR VIDEO
Cheers mate 🙏

@@WildTouring thanks mate, how many did you fit across the kaon shelf? 4?
I’ve got 4. You might be able to fit 5 but could be a bit tight.
That intro. GQ magazines sexiest man of the year is calling 😂😂
Honestly disappointed this is the only comment of this nature 🤣 🤣 🤣
Good vid team
Cheers mate 🍻
Super keen to hear your thoughts on the Drifta bladder. I was after one but heard a review that the taste wasn't the best.
Thanks Cam.
Definitely lots of plastic taste unfortunately. It would be my last option to drink from, more likely to use it for showers and washing.
@@WildTouringThanks for the reply.
Where did you get that lighter?
The small soldering one? An auto shop like Supercheap/Repco/Autobarn 👍🏼
