I wish I could have talked to layne, kurt, Chris, Chester, Scott all of them. Tell them that they’re loved and valued as human beings and not just as musicians and famous headbangers. I feel like these people weren’t told enough how much they were loved by people they wanted to care about them. I know efforts were made by the band mates and family, but damn there’s so many kind words I want to say to these people.
There’s people who need that and are alive right now that you aren’t telling those things too. Layne Kurt etc would probably tell you to fuck off, that you’re only saying that cause of their celebrity.
natty boyo Coming from experience, most people who, personally, are “Dark” tend to always be cracking jokes around other people, and usually have a pretty good humor. Jerry Cantrell is and always has been my favorite guitar player of all time, absolutely convinced me that I could do it myself as I saw him step farther and farther in front and take lead.
"I'm dumbfounded by me, all the time...WOW"
Haha
Reid Garwin lol I know “WOW”. Music n these fellas WOW
YES! Thank you so much for uploading this amazing footage of the Nona Tapes! Finally a great quality copy! Alice In Chains rocks and will always be my favorite. Layne is missed every day! 💜💜👍👍
PianoGirl change your name to grunge girl
ozzyishere4u I probably should. lol Piano was my first love, then came the 90's and blew me away!
PianoGirl lol i totally understand
PianoGirl rip
Right? The VHS quality was pretty sub par to say the least.
Anybody wish they could quantum leap back and help Layne in some way? Someone with a voice like that only live 34 years is simply tragic.
I have a feeling that ANY of us would kill to help him, but all the effort of friends and family seemed in vane 😢
How to help someone when they don’t want it? You can’t.
@@fowchiiiliedpuppiesdied at least you know that you tried and did all that you could.
You can tell Jerry as "Nona" creeped Layne the hell out lol!
Jerry is so beautiful. I love Layne. And he's beautiful as well. But Jerry has always been my favorite. I can't meet Layne, but hopefully I'll get to see AIC live one day.
Jerry is indeed beautiful.
These guys are awesome live I seen them with the new singer though it’s like there one big engine turning on and running fluid together when they play it’s really cool.
I got to see them in September 2018... very close to the stage! Have some awesome pictures of Jerry!
Sorry to see Laynes teeth starting to go bad, but wow he was so angelic like, bit Sean is hilarious stays in character the whole time
Best show I've seen. It was without Layne in 2007 but it fuckin rocked
layne. such a beautiful soul ❤
He was an ugly dope fiend.
@@jdhed1601 i find you again🤣🤣🤣 c'mon just look his hair, he was so handsome ❤
JDHED1 he’s 10 times more good looking than you
@@jdhed1601 What a dick you are. He had one great voice on him and was a sweet soul. He sadly got introduced to the worst drug ever that changed him and losing his girlfriend I personally believe caused him alot of depression. You cant ignore the talent he had.
8:03 "I hit things with sticks" love you guys...
10:09 “i’m the man in the box... get it? get it?” jerry is so precious
The alcoholic clown gets me every time.
Sean Kinney is SO
HILARIOUS ... They. introduced Layne to Nona and told him (he/she) was a production managers (or someone like that) mother or great aunt and Layne believed it for awhile until Nona kept smiling at him. Then he knew 😃😄
💲PRICELESS💲
Really? Awww
And it like creeped Layne the fuck out once he found out
So glad this finally got "officially" posted. Nona always cracks me up. Jerry looks great in a dress and Sean makes a great clown.
9:10 lmao I love how Mike catches himself and saves the shot
I thought I was the only one who caught that
@@mikehunt8247 I don't get it.
so good! 😂
Grandmaster Hash he said “jerry” because that’s who’s playing the woman and he answered with his real name but quickly turned it into a statement because he’s supposed to act like the man dressed as a woman is real and not jerry.
john boreman hahaha never noticed that. They’re so damn cute.
I'll never get sick of watching this
You can see that Layne wasn't feeling well. That feeling you get when you're sick and your body aches and you just want to take a hot bath and wear a blanket all day.
Heroin withdraws
Dude, you realize they were all acting and playing into the video? Everyone wants to find morbidity in nearly every video that has Layne, that’s sad
@@GeekFreeekBlind Martha could see that he’s a pathetic junkie here lmao.
Damn layne why are you gone you left on this rock all alone.
"We're all alone..." - Mad Season
died - aic
Queen of the Rodeo..... sorry, I just saw Jerry all dressed up.
Mella Han such a sad song
Man, I love this band! I totally wish I wasn't born in 1989. Layne had that iconic voice! Now, I really wish I could've heard more of his voice. Total legends!!!
This never fails to crack me up! I still find it hard to believe that Jerry, in particular, was fearless enough to do this. Priceless!
"Grind" is the very first video I ever downloaded. I had to set it up to download all day while I was at school, by the time I got home I had a whole 30 second clip. Crazy how I'm sitting here 25 years later, older now than Layne ever would be, enjoying this old classic I played non-stop growing up.
No wonder the 90s are "cool again," it was a glorious time.
I can never get enough of that godly riff in "Heaven Beside You." (22:30).
i love how alice in chains still kicks ass to this very day. can't wait for there new album!
i think so. i heard they were working on a new album this year or next year...
Man if they have all of this little footage I really hope they have the tapes they came from. Would love to see home footage of them in the studio or on tour back in the day. 🖤
Layne is the only person I ever heard that gets his newspaper delivered to his house at night time…
My grandpa did. And in Oklahoma
I love this documentary. They all are soooo funny, and Layne is so funny, sweet, and beautiful
4:12 - I love Sean's Jackie Kennedy moment in the back of the convertible! What a great little documentary
Such a great band. I love they had this silly side and when they hit the stage they were all business. Godsmack stole their everything
When Godsmack first came out I loved the song "whatever", but thought Stone Temple Pilots and Alice in Chains should file a joint lawsuit against them for throwing their sounds in a blender and passing it off as new music.
True that Sir
You can speak to them. Light a white candle and speak to them as if they are right there. Spirit never dies...
Me to
There’s people who need that and are alive right now that you aren’t telling those things too. Layne Kurt etc would probably tell you to fuck off, that you’re only saying that cause of their celebrity.
"We used every single word multiple times, I don't think we said anything different..." LMAO
Guys make dark scary music but have a great sense of humour.
natty boyo I love there music, It soothes me..
Dark scary music? lol no
Are you a kid?
It is dark and scary, it's some heavy shit but its amazing
natty boyo Coming from experience, most people who, personally, are “Dark” tend to always be cracking jokes around other people, and usually have a pretty good humor. I’ve come to find that people who are extreme on one side of whatever spectrum, are very easily able to also go, or relate into the other side. Sad thing is, most people who are always making joke, are also sometimes the most depressed people as well.
"I came in for a colonic ya know? But they told me the machine was clogged." Hilarious.
So badass! Please upload the official video for Angry Chair.
MajorPhilGraves agree!
MajorPhilGraves Yeah Please
agree!
MajorPhilGraves YES
and it happen...
Holy shit. Jerry on the brick cell phone at @ 9:50 just made me feel so old...
WTF How can Jerry be a sexy man and a very chic lady at the same time??? He is perfect and in his shoes as a woman!!! Ahahaha and Sean Kinney, wow, he is so fucking funny he's an real actor
12:02 ‘I was getting to that yup. I am. Happy. I think I’m gonna cry’ 😂 love his sense of humor.
I could watch and listen to Layne talk all day. I'm 100% straight but I am strangely drawn to him, have been since '93ish when I first got introduced to AIC.
He's just a beautiful man inside and out
This was so emotional to watch. thank you, Alice in Chains!
@8:00 "Do you occasionally hit the other members?" The answer should have been "in the head with a coffee table". lol
😂😂
OH YOU COULDN'T DAM THAT RIVER!! OH MAYBE I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ANYWAAAYYY!!!
Yes lol THIS
What do you mean? I don't get it ):
Alevandet sean and jerry had an argument and sean hit jerry with a coffee table, and that incident inspired the lyrics to dam that river
"when this record comes out what will people notice most about it?"
"the songs"
So funny cos it’s so dumb 😂
Omg this is timelessly funny. Props to Jerry! Comedian at heart and good one!
4:20 WOW all of those songs left off--Settling Down before Boggy Depot. Very cool.
The greatest gift Alice and Chains gave their fans is the memories, they weren't fake take it or leave it and for us real fans we got to feel the emotions, good bad sad . And also still to this day we feel it..
Nice surprise on a Monday morning! I love this! RIP Layne.
Jerry's got some SERIOUS acting chops. Sean too.
Im 50 and listened to this in my 20ies. Now for some reason rediscovering the great AIC songs.... doesn't get old
The well hidden quirky, hilarious and fun side of a band known for its melancholy. I wish there was more of this!
