Pearl Jam went all serious and self congratulatory for their 20th anniversary while Alice in Chains made fun of themselves with a brilliant spoof of Spinal Tap and even got their friends along for the ride. This is why I love AIC.
He was originally supposed to be the bassist in the movie Almost Famous but he turned it down because he was recording an album. But at least we have him in Jerry Maguire as Jesus of CopyMat
Probably one of the most respected bands of all time, has anyone ever heard a negative thing about them ever in the media or from other artists? They are our generations zeppelin... I truly believe that
I love AIC more than you can know. ❤️However, Zeppelin are in a class of their own. If you get into Zeppelin you’ll begin to appreciate the insane vocals of Plant and the guitar of Jimmy Page! #Kashmir
There is no new AiC or old AiC. There is just AiC. This band has had 6 members over its history. Each contributed or is contributing his own personal talents and experience to the craft. Their story continues.
I love Nona!! Took some ppl awhile to see it was Jerry....👀..I knew 1st second in...he makes me laugh 😃. I want him 2 day...I have forgotten how to laugh...sigh- I need Jerry in the horse teeth!
"Hell you think I'm worried about copyrights? Shit, people been ripping me off for years... Lets sing it goddamn it! *bleep for 20 seconds" Lmfao I die everytime
I used to have the vhs with The Nona Tapes on it many years ago. I like that they did something like that again. It's good to get REAL perspective on the band. Showing not only what they are about as people but what the people think, fans or not.
I met the band Alice In Chains in 1990 they were touring with Extreme, I was there to watch Nuno and left an Alice In Chains fan. I remember the crowd that day and maybe 1 person in the crowd knew who they were. However, I had just met them. I walked in during sound check to get a beer. They were on stage and I had no idea who they were. I introduced myself and I spent the next couple of hours with them. I have front row and center pictures. Most of them are online somewhere. I never wanted anything out of them, I just wanted to make sure everyone saw them. Layne gave me a cassette that day in 1990 and everyone except Sean signed it. I have tried to get someone from the Alice In Chains community to let me send what I have to them, to be put in an AIC museum. I want nothing from the flier, the tape or my pictures, I just want the fans to see the stuff I have, so it gets saved forever.
whats on the cassette? is it unreleased stuff maybe or just a cassette of Facelift ? either way thats amazing you got it signed and met the guys, what a great story
Duff talking about Alice Cooper will always be hilarious, especially because him and Jerry are extremely close friends and Duff is just a close AIC affiliate in general.
I'm kinda stoned at the moment, but hear me out. A Seinfeld spoof with Jerry playing Jerry, William playing Kramer, Mike playing George, and Sean playing Elaine, and it's just called "Cantrell" 🤣
This promotion was familiar to AIC promotion of their self titled release in 95, the Nona tapes. Love it. Same comedy and entertainment. Gota love these guys.
I always love coming back to this every so often for a laugh. I also like how excited Lars sounds when he says "Alice in Chains has a new record coming out!" drummer for the biggest metal band in the world and he's as much of a fan as any one of us lol
Did anyone else catch the Def Leppard reference at 1:32? "Unta Gleebin Glabben Globin Goblin." Pyromania? Anyone? Or was it so obvious no one mentioned it?
This was great! Would've been funny if they got Godsmack and had them be like, "uhh, who?" "Alice in Chains! They wrote the song God Smack, y'know, like your band name." "Nope, never heard of them."
This was, by far, the funniest thing I've seen from AiC! I've been lucky enough to spend a few moments with Sean, and he drips humor from his lovely lips like a dog drooling over a bone. They outdo themselves every day, with music, lyrics, video, and wit. I just can't get enough!
This Video just fucking rules.... I've been a fan of Alice In Chains since your albums came out. I've seen this many times and had a laugh with it. I love it. You do keep the spirit of Layne around in your new music and I really appreciate it. I know he was a super talented artist and man with a great heart. Its always very touching to sing some of your songs along because I do imagine the times you've been through. Great Band! Probably one of my lifetime favorites. :D ImI yeah man!
That would be awesome if they had a full length mockumentary rock film about the bands history, beginnings & current work as well, but mostly their beginnings! I always like hearing about how bands come together & how they started! RocknRoll!
This really shows how freaking down to earth these guys are. I'm proud of Jerry, who we now call "Dollarhide" around our house now. Gives a horse called Man a b-day party...classic- "Look this here... Ten Million"...lol!!! William looks and sounds awesome, all of this is phenomenal! Sean at 3:20, then Inez at 3:30-3:37... every bass player is gonna love that. I wouldn't change a thing about this. Thanks guys! ;)
I don't know how I could have missed this before but, WOW! You have to love AIC. I love anything that Jerry Cantrell has put out. Degradation Trip vol 1 & 2 are pure gold!!!
